Cascina Reina Via Caravaggio Reviews
It was our first time. The location is large but well-maintained. There's ample parking outside, and well-organized grilling and children's play facilities. Inside, the restaurant is spacious and well-maintained. The food is excellent, and the all-inclusive menu is excellent, at a great price. The waiters are young but very friendly and professional. There's also a shop where you can buy local products. Well done everyone, we'll be back soon.
Three of us ate there, the set menu was reasonably priced for the quality and quantity. Excellent service. Plenty of outdoor space with animals, perfect for children but also for adults who want to be in touch with nature.
Cascina Reina is a beautiful place to spend a day outdoors with friends, surrounded by nature. They rent out barbecue spots where you can cook and enjoy your meal in a relaxed setting, and the meat can only be purchased directly from them. The quality is excellent, all local and zero-kilometer, which makes the experience feel authentic and special. It’s a great way to combine good food, fresh air, and a social atmosphere, perfect for weekends or gatherings. Definitely recommended if you’re looking for something different to do outside the city.
We've tried it several times, both for lunch at the farmhouse and for grilling in the gazebos. Large place, fast and attentive service. Good food with a set menu, all included in the price. You can rent the gazebo equipped with a grill, electricity, and refrigerator. Meat must be purchased at the farmhouse shop.
We opted for the self-service grill. The location is clean and very spacious, ideal for children (playground, animals, soccer field!) The meat is of the highest quality (especially the ribs, skewers, and chicken slices; the salami, a little less so in my opinion, but it depends on your taste). Special mention for the salamis and cheeses, which are delicious. The quality/price ratio is truly excellent, and with the right company, it's truly top-notch. Recommended, and we'll be back to try the restaurant.

A very cool place where you can spend an afternoon with friends or family. You can rent a table with your own barbecue and buy high quality meat directly on site. You can also visit animals and play on their football fields. The mood is festive and happy. Bonus if you're into aviation, since it's right next to a small airstrip. I absolutely reccomend it for a fun weekend!

The food was good, the appetizers were satisfying, the pumpkin risotto was very good, the casoncelli pasta filling was slightly bland, and the pasta was too soft; they're usually a bit tougher. The main courses were definitely worse, the dry roast and the so-so braised beef. Two baked potatoes instead of fried ones would have been nice, and a more inviting main course would probably have ended on a high note. The dessert was good, the tart was good, but the desserts were something else entirely. The wine was ok, and the prices were truly affordable. The location was wonderful, the grills outside where they provide everything (minimum €100 for their meat), wood, private bathroom on site, games for kids, animals, horseback riding, carriage rides, small airplanes taking off from a nearby lawn, in short, how cool!!! We'll try again, with the barbecue included!!!

To give them their fair due, the food is very good and the service is not bad, the price, for the food you get, is very competitive. The location, while a bit far out, is very nice also. However, as far as the restaurant is concerned I cannot recommend you pay a visit in the summer. The dining hall, on our visit, was packed full and the noise was very loud with people shouting all over the place. There was no ventilation of any sort available. I can fully understand not having AC in a large farmhouse but the ventilation system was off and when we asked about it we were told it was broken. Sure, breakages can happen, but given the weather was 34C outside they should have, IMHO, at least provided some floor-standing fans. The air was hot, humid and very bad with all the people inside the restaurant eating, breathing and sweating. The food selection for end-of-july was also a bit baffling: Risotto, Casoncelli, Stracotto, Polenta... all very good but not exactly refreshing. Sadly, in spite of the good food, I can't say it was a pleasant experience.
