Frequently asked questions about Il sole
Il sole Via Carlo Emanuele Terzo Reviews
Excellent food, well-cooked and generous portions. Good value for money.
Excellent self-service restaurant for a quick meal. The atmosphere and cuisine are very homey. The prices are slightly higher than local competitors, but they're more than compensated for by the authenticity of the cuisine and the quality of the products, especially after trying the various options for a business lunch in central Cuneo. The only drawback is that the portions, especially those with the trio, could sometimes be more generous for certain dishes (which vary considerably depending on the day and season).
We had a great time with the trio which includes everything you want from starter to dessert...the place is clean and welcoming
For those who want to eat well and have enough intelligence to understand what quality/price ratio means, this is the best place in Cuneo!
Ok
Excellent food, high quality and expertly prepared, it doesn't feel like a self-service restaurant. Reasonable prices.
Lunch just like at home: clean, quiet, excellent food (cooked, no microwaves or frozen foods), a wide selection, a different menu every day, and the option of a three-course meal, all at reasonable prices: for less than €10, you can have a good lunch and leave feeling satisfied.
I've been coming here for years and always have a great experience: the dishes are constantly updated, but still maintain the "home-style" flavors. The atmosphere has always been clean and well-kept.
Excellent! The value for money exceeded expectations. Typical trattoria cuisine, not self-service, in a welcoming and very clean place. Really good value, especially if you order a trio: any dish you choose, neatly divided into three parts. For example, I ordered spinach crepes, Livorno-style swordfish steak and potatoes, a very good 200ml bottle of wine, and water (free microfiltered water in glasses) for only €11. They also accept both electronic and paper Ticket Restaurant vouchers. Highly recommended!
Homemade food, always fresh. The place is welcoming. It's where I often eat lunch when I'm in the office. I gave the service a 3 only because it's self-service, but the staff is helpful anyway.
The food is delicious and cheap. Typical Piedmontese food, fresh, generous portions. The place is small, there's no service (something I don't like), but it's self-service. The tasty food I tried made it worth the "personal inconvenience" of being in a very small place with no service. Definitely a place worth revisiting; the food is excellent.
Yes, the food is good, reasonably priced, and the food is authentic and fresh. I recommend the excellent desserts prepared by the owner. To save money, I recommend ordering the trio, which includes a choice of three courses: appetizer, first course, second course, side dish (or two at once), dessert, fruit, and cheese. The only downside, for me, as a food intolerant person, is that the meat is sometimes seasoned with a lot of sauce, mustard, or other condiments.
Excellent cuisine and affordable prices. A good selection of dishes and combinations are available. Excellent food. However, the place is small, and you may have to wait outside, especially during lunch hours. The kitchen is not well insulated from the dining room, so there's a slight smell of food. Recommended.
The food is good, with generous portions and reasonable prices. They change 60% of the menu daily. Thursday is Special Day because they make a delicious pizza that's served in pieces; it's become a ritual now 😁 To eat a variety of dishes, it's always best to get the trio of your choice.
Simple cuisine and a wide selection (for a self-service restaurant). Good quality ingredients at a good price. A family atmosphere. Ideal for a hot meal during lunch break or a quick dinner when you don't have the time or inclination to cook.
We ate here, and honestly, it's quite expensive for a trio of small portions. I ordered the pasta with sardines, which weren't fresh and had bones, so they weren't clean. The place is cramped, and the bathroom is very small and dirty, with a squat toilet. Personally, I wouldn't recommend it. Friendly staff. Excellent coffee.
