Il Forno della Grigna Via Cassin Reviews
Excellent cuisine, with dishes crafted with meticulous attention to detail and top-quality ingredients. The staff is friendly, attentive, and always smiling. Highly recommended, we'll definitely be back!
If you’re anywhere near Parco Valentino after the hike up to the lookout, do yourself a favor and eat here. I ordered the fresh fettuccine with wild boar ragù and a touch of goat cheese. Hands down the best pasta I’ve ever had. The flavor was insane, super tender, and incredibly comforting after the climb. Great food, great atmosphere, and friendly service that makes the whole experience even better.
Lively restaurant with great food served fast!
An excellent restaurant. About a year ago, we tried the €50 omnia tasting menu, which was decidedly tasty and varied. This year, having no time, we only had one dish each: pork shank with polenta and sausage with polenta. Always excellent. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

if you’re driving past on your way to or from a mountain hike & thinking ‘should I go in there?’ - the answer is YES. I have a severe nut allergy & I was treated with so much reassurance and respect. It was such a phenomenal experience. We had pappardelle with venison ragu and ricotta and spinach raviolacchi. It’s the best food we’ve had in Italy so far! The service was kind, calm, personal and attentive. Honestly, we can’t believe how incredible our experience was!
Thousends of Thanks for friendly young waiter behind the Bar. You saved the day of turist couple and helped by driving us down back to Lecco after your working day. Grazie mille❤️
Excellent food, excellent service, excellent hospitality. We had lunch at 3:00 PM after a long walk, and there were seven of us. They welcomed us despite the late hour, and within a short time we were eating divinely. Compliments to the chef Nicolò, his father, and the entire staff. The price was more than fair. Highly recommended.
Excellent traditional food with a touch of innovation, a varied wine list, fast and friendly service, excellent value, and a warm and welcoming location, perfect for aperitifs, lunches, and dinners with friends. Hats off to the young and talented chef, who puts effort and passion into every dish!
Excellent restaurant; we hiked up Monte Coltignone and then stopped here for dinner. The atmosphere is very family-friendly, the service is fast, and the food is delicious. I recommend this place to everyone for excellent, local food! The cured meats are top-notch, and the tagliatelle with venison ragù is second to none! 10/10!
Super❤️
The place is a bit of a mix between a bar and a restaurant/trattoria, but it stands out from the others in the area, which are mostly focused on aperitifs. Locals are also very present here, and custom menus are prepared upon reservation (we saw a mountain of prawns and spaghetti with seafood). We opted for the classic: taroz (served with excellent pancetta), wine risotto (excellent), and polenta with four cheeses, featuring Gorgonzola (yum!) and Bitto (amazing). The prices were reasonable, and the young owner was very kind. It's interesting to see the locals who are very interested in sharing news about the local community (a polite way of not saying gossip...). We'll be back, also for the beautiful view of Grignetta.
A simple, small restaurant with about fifteen tables, typical of a tavern. Good service, very friendly and attentive. The people are friendly, as they say, "down-to-earth," as is appropriate in a mountain place like this. The service, perhaps a little more attentiveness, wouldn't hurt. The dishes, well, that's the strong point.... plentiful, excellent, carefully prepared, refined, and well-made. The price is perhaps a little high, especially for water and wine; the rest, I'd say, isn't excessive, but it's not cheap either. Overall, it's worth a visit. It's worth it.
Siamo stati al forno per la nostra camminata al parco Valentino. Abbiamo acquistato focaccia, pizza e torte di vario tipo. Tutto squisito. Se passeremo da queste parti ci fermeremo sicuramente di nu…
The atmosphere is nice, but the food didn't live up to expectations. The staff wasn't friendly during service. The bill was incorrect and was corrected after we noticed. The waiter apologized for the mistake. There's no drinks menu, by the way. I won't be returning, and I don't recommend it.
