Bon Parej Via Eusebio Bava Reviews
We were fortunate enough to be taken here for lunch to experience Piedmontese food. We had high expectations and it did not disappoint, in fact, it was exceeded. The service was above and beyond and the food was a delectable, unique experience that I would highly recommend.
Very good osteria with a good wine list. Pasta was very well done, as well as the risotto. Cheese platter was great.
Beautiful local food and great wines, friendly staff, very nice cosy set up V. Reasonable prices
Had a nice dinner with friends. Very nice place, excellent food and right pricing. We ate starters, first dish and second dish, with two bottle of wine. They have wardrobe. Table booked with the Fork does not allow you to choose the fixed menu available, which is 30€ each but all people at the table must get it.
The restaurant serves traditional local (piemontese) food with a modern twist in terms of textures and plating. They have also a great selection of local wines and the staff is willing to help you decide what to eat or drink based on your taste. The atmosphere is both cozy and elegant and even though the service can be somewhat slow, the quality of food makes up for it.
Very good food, friendly service, large portions and reasonable price. Great overall experience.
Eating here a couple of times latest year, it's always been delicious food. Prices are reasonable for what you get, also compared to other restaurants around the city centre.
Very high end italian food which was not to my taste. IE a lot of raw meat and strong tasting fish !!! The staff really tried to support me though and I enjoyed the Veg flan they made me.
Simple - loud, pretty average food . Veal carpaccio is unusual, desert amaretti rather flat- wonderful why the hotel recommended this place ?
Cozy place with good food (but nothing remarkable). Unfortunately the meat we ordered at the table was not warm (since the served polenta was a bit cold). Service was not positive - our “main” waiter seemed to be unfriendly and did not smile once for the whole service. The others (service) were very nice. 4 stars if the service would have been better.
What an odd experience at a restaurant with such a well reviewed reputation! If you decide to order the fritto misto, be prepared for what you’re getting into: an eclectic heap of deep-fried “flavours.” When we asked our rather surly waitress—who could easily moonlight with the Addams Family—what it included, she snapped: “pig, chicken, liver, vegetables, and sweets” (meaning cauliflower, sugar-coated semolina, apples, and amaretti biscuits). It’s literally meat, vegetables, and dessert all tossed together on one plate. An unexpected combination, delivered with brisk efficiency—quite unlike the grace and style one might expect from Piedmontese cuisine!
Food could deserve more than 1 star but the whole experience made it worth less. We were 4 and ordered 2 Bagna Cauda, 1 Tomini and 1 Risotto. With the Bagna Cauda we have ordered (price on the Menu being 16 euro) came a little surprise: we were served a sole scoop of bagna which led to more than half of the veggies being left and, when we did ask for a refill (which EVERYWHERE ELSE IN THE WHOLE PIEDMONT REGION is FREE) we were charged 4 euro more on the final bill (not mentioned anywhere on the Menu, nor mention was made by the waitress). Service was slow and rude (we received the 2 Bagna Cauda and the Tomini but the Risotto was served when the 3 of us were already finished eating). Wine was poured in the glass without waiting for our feedback. Nobody came to ask us for desserts or anything else. Worst service ever experienced. When I did complain about the additional 4 euro each we were charged for the Bagna Cauda, the owner started yelling at me tossing 10 euro to me and asking me to leave. She also told me she could not care less about people leaving negative reviews. So I did leave the restaurant but I also did leave this review.
Rude; worst service in years! Food only moderate Eat somewhere else. On arrival - we were the first - we asked for another table, which was already acknowledged with an eye roll from a completely rude female waitress. Unfortunately, because of the rain, we didn't follow the first impulse to leave immediately. From then on, we were constantly signaled that we should leave as soon as possible so that the table could be reassigned. While our parents were still eating the "Primi", our "Secondi" came. As soon as we had finished eating, we were immediately asked for dessert. To save time, we ordered a cheese platter. This led to an annoyed reaction from the waiter. He was constantly looking to see if he could finally clear the field. After dessert came the bill, which we hadn't ordered, which was absolutely impolite (!). Then - we still had quite full wine glasses - came the final cheek: The waiter asked us to leave now because he had to set the table for new guests. We then became very clear and complained about this impertinence throughout the evening. The food was ok, but nothing more. Conclusion: Go eat somewhere else - especially as a tourist!
Be wary of this place if you are not local. The waiter recommended us a small assortment of appetizers for three adults, and two children. We ended up with appetizers for 20 people, which we had to pay. The main courses were very average. The end value to money is completely out of range even for a top restaurant in Torino.
