Public Via Generale Federico Pescetto Reviews
The best thing is the real pub atmosphere, far from the tourist crowds.
Very nice and quaint pub, the food and drinks were great! Definitely worth a try! I'll definitely be back!
A must if you're in Celle Ligure. Wide selection and professional service. Recommended.
Excellent bar. We had a great time with our friends, and the prices were fair. They let us play music, even though we were from another country. The bartender was very friendly and a real turn-on.
A pub with typical British features, with scarves from all over the place, giving it an old-school feel. The staff is very friendly and efficient, the beer is good, and there's even a small lounge with double steps for watching sporting events on screen.
Can't comment on the food as I haven't tried it yet. Plates going back empty so I guess it must be Good. Matteo and Chiara are always smiling and welcoming. The staff are also very friendly. Great atmosphere and good selection of Beers.
Amazing pizza, great prices. Very friendly staff. We visited on a Thursday evening, so it was a very chilled atmosphere. I would come again and definitely recommend
Not to be missed. A classic beer house. I had the feeling of returning to the typical atmosphere of the underground beer houses of the 80s/90s, beautiful. The place is really welcoming, like those of the past. Small but very suggestive. But the strong point is the quality of the food and the beers. The dishes are exquisite, you must try the pinza, you cannot leave this place without having tasted at least one. The menu is varied and very reminiscent of the proposals of the 80s/90s. The ingredients of the fillings are of excellent quality. Basically you cannot leave Celle Ligure without having eaten here.
The best pinsa I've ever eaten! The chef is truly skilled. The pinsa is truly tasty and, above all, light, made with three different types of flour. The place is very charming and quaint, with a pub-style feel—in fact, it's a real pub with excellent food service. All accompanied by background music, from rock to pop by Queen. What can I say? 5 stars, well deserved. Oh...there are also outdoor tables for the nicer weather. Thanks for everything!
Great choice of beers, staff very kind! Keep it on!
Beautiful tavern-style venue, but very suitable for a younger crowd. Good music, friendly staff, and fairly quick service. A good selection of draft beers. The pizza is unique but very good! We really appreciated the personalized menu featuring the names of Romanzo Criminale characters on the pizzas. If you're a young person in good company or with friends, definitely try it! 😉
The Public restaurant and pub offers a welcoming and charming atmosphere on the waterfront. The interior is well-appointed with numerous screens and charming décor, creating the perfect setting for socializing and relaxing. The staff is extremely friendly and attentive, contributing to a pleasant experience for customers. The menu focuses primarily on sandwiches and appetizers, perfect for enjoying while watching a game. Prices are fair, making the place accessible to a wide variety of customers. While the place offers several draft beer options, the lack of a selection of bottled craft beers may disappoint discerning diners. Adding a few craft beers to the list could really elevate the experience. The Public is a great place to enjoy an evening with friends, especially if you're interested in watching a game. However, a more diverse beer selection could make the difference between a good restaurant and an exceptional one.
Poor organization, unfortunately the food was of very poor quality. The ribs we ordered were so greasy they made you sick, the chicken was raw and consequently smelled strange. We waited a very long time, and the bill was quite high for the quality (we spent €72.50 for 4). Perhaps overpriced, but good for a quick beer perhaps. Kudos to the young and polite waitress who served us and apologized for the wait.
I ordered a sandwich without ham, and after an hour of waiting, they brought me a sandwich with ham. I'm vegetarian, but I could have been allergic to that food, so I asked them to make me what I ordered. The problem isn't the mistake of bringing the wrong dish, but the humiliation and ridicule I suffered from the owner and his staff, who laughed while timidly apologizing. Truly disgusting! Never again!
The place is nice, with a casual yet organized decor, as is the menu, which offers a variety of street food and pizzas. However, the service is extremely slow, often resulting in waits of 30-45 minutes or more, even for a sandwich. The presence of a TV during football matches is certainly a valid reason for fans to come here to eat with friends and watch the game, but the place is absolutely not equipped for the crowds that regularly show up every game night, and waits can stretch to over an hour.
