"Historical" tavern located in a strategic place on the banks of the Po river, with a beautiful view, next to a walk (in the shade) in the green countryside frequented by cyclists, runners and joggers. Quiet, clean place where you can eat well and at a reasonable price. No problem with parking. In summer you can eat outside while in winter the place guarantees a good, comfortable and warm capacity. Summer and winter menu but always present the ambola and fried catfish. For those who love fishing and have a license it is possible to do it while having fun on the banks of the Po Nb: The tavern can also be accessed from the river for those with river vehicles. You can also have aperitifs. The owners are very kind. To get there: once you arrive at the Bosco ex Parmigiano at the end of the village turn right towards the church. Go straight for about 800 meters until you reach a lay-by. Take the descent after 50mt you have arrived. WARNING: it is addictive. ...it is too good!!!! NB - I posted the photo with the current opening hours. I have already been back!!.😋

Loved the food, the menu was small but very well done, all good local and very high quality. I didn't know a word of Italian but the owner went out of his way to try explain the menu to me and help me order what we wanted. Fantastic spot, will certainly be back! Plenty of dog walking spots around the Restaurant and the Restaurant is animal friendly!

Excellent trattoria located just steps from the Po River embankment, easily accessible by car in 5 minutes from the Cremona motorway exit, or by bike/MTB, following the cycle paths along the Po. Informal, welcoming, and clean atmosphere. The owner is extremely helpful and professional. He knows how to advise customers and explains how the dishes are prepared. The traditional local cured meats and cured meats are extremely good and flavorful. The first courses of homemade pasta are excellent. The waitress was perfect, very attentive and kind. Congratulations to everyone. We had a wonderful time and will be back soon.

I discovered this osteria thanks to a friend of mine. I want to thank him for introducing me to a really lovely place. Excellent management, courtesy, and professionalism make this osteria (in my opinion) a lovely place. We ate outside just a few meters from the PO, enjoying the €12.50 menu (workers' menu), all delicious, accompanied by a 1/2 liter of Gutturnio included in the menu. You absolutely have to try it, but I recommend booking. You can get there by bike or car. Enjoy your meal.

The location is amazing​.. right on the river..great place to stop for a drink on a bike ride...off the beaten path. Very Italian. Cozy.. romantic..and still great for families...take a walk around the place. Great place for picnic. Home style cooking. Been here 3 times.

Siamo stati qui più volte e abbiamo sempre pranzato benissimo. Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo, personale molto gentile. Ci torneremo in primavera anche per una bella passeggiata sul Po.

Personale gentilissimo, location semplice e molto accogliente. Piatti semplici con ingredienti freschi , preparati con cura e gustosi.

I piatti degustati erano su taglieri principalmente fatti di vari tipologie di salumi e formaggi tutti molto buoni e torta fritta pure molto buona. Piatti abbondanti e con rapporto qualità prezzo corretti.

A small osteria right on the Po River. It has a lovely terrace under the trees. We arrived after 9 p.m., and the kitchen was unfortunately already closed. But we still managed to get some delicious cold platters.

Excellent quantities. Delicious meat. The fried river fish is interesting (especially the catfish). I'd add frogs if requested. The selection of platters is excellent. If the weather permits, I'd sit outside because the river view is spectacular (and there's less noise).

The food is good but the portions are small. I ordered the eel and pea risotto. I chose it expecting to find pieces of eel, but instead it was like, I don't know how to put it, crumbled tuna and two peas. The fried cake platter was good... definitely worth a try. The dessert... the meringue was good. I advise the waitress to smile every now and then; she seemed annoyed every time she was called. The owner, on the other hand, was nice.

Durante la settimana c'è il menù lavoro: buon prezzo. I primi sono in genere buoni, i secondi spesso non sono più all'altezza. Festivo è diverso, poca scelta, poca organizzazione e poca disponibilità per semplici richieste per bambini. Noi a volte ci siamo trovati bene, ma dopo aver trovato carne fredda e patatine poco cotte, non torneremo.

Ok per farci un aperitivo… ma nient’altro. Per lo meno, per le pietanze che abbiamo ordinato noi ci è bastato per evitarlo in futuro, magari era solo una serata no per la cucina?

I returned after years with my husband....I knew the management was different, but I didn't think the traditions were limited only to the menu. Mixed fried fish, practically brown and tasted of heavy oil, not the Maghrebian ones...first of all, starting with the shape, they're marubini and not tortellini, but the flavor and filling are far from what someone like me, from Cremona, is used to eating them. Cured meats...and yes, they're not what you'd expect from a "home-grown" osteria. The staff were very kind and very nice in every way, but L'Osteria del Mento was something else entirely. C

Very down-to-earth atmosphere. On the banks of the Po. It looks just like those shacks on the river, in a good way. Perhaps it would have been better to get cold cuts and torta fritta, but for what I ate, I found it expensive and not exceptional in quality. Pisarei and fasö that tasted like they were in broth; fried river fish wasn't exceptional, tough frogs and tiny fish; half a liter of Gutturnio wine was decent; a coffee; total €42. In my opinion, that's a lot for a place like this. I like down-to-earth places, but they can't have these prices.
