Been driving past this place for almost 47 years. Finally got around to trying it. Wasn't crowded. No wait for a table, but we were there a little early for a Saturday (5 pm). Snagged one of the very limited parking spots. If you don't like to be rushed then you will love this place. Bread and breadsticks were a good start. Their Raviolis are the largest I have ever seen! Linguine Carbonara was good. Wine was ok. Coffee was ok. Cheesecake cones could have been better. Service was good and the restaurant was neat and clean.

Nice neighborhood spot. We attended a bereavement dinner after a 3 hour struggle with rush hour traffic. Restaurant parking lot was full and after exploring the neighborhood I eventually found a parking space. If we lived on Staten Island we would probably enjoy coming here regularly. In spite of our ordeal we enjoyed our meal. By the way, our drive back home to Long Island was only 1 hour and 10 minutes.

A pretty good and relatively happy experience. The food was very fresh. I do feel as though the atmosphere can be updated a bit. We also felt a little disappointed by the service. We just felt like we weren’t really asked how things were throughout the evening and kind of had to wait a while to get our food and drinks.

La Fontana is a very well kept and beautifully decorated restaurant. They have a decadent atmosphere perfect for events or just a dinner for two. Food is delicious and here service is friendly and accommodating. Would recommend!!!!

I went there yesterday for a baptism. The food was okay could be better. I have been working for food restaurants for a while. But the service could be 10 times better. All of the tables the empty glasses were pilling up. We didn’t get any refills in the pitches.

The taste is salty, the salt seems to be free, the service attitude is very good, the cup for drinking water is not clean, there are food stains and lipstick marks in it, they don't clean it.Italian noodles taste good.

Very very disappointed in this place. Ordered pasta with Alfredo. Sauce is tasteless and if you can see from photos just globs of Parmesan cheese all over it. I cant even eat the pasta and It want cheap either. Just heartbroken..

Easter Sunday i ordered the lamb. It was terrible. Family ordered steak which they liked but didn't love. They need a new chef. The lamb was like rubber and unchewable. Never again

We are semi regular customers who also had repasse dinner at La Fontana in the past . We were seated in a cold dining room for 25 minutes after being seated by the restaurant employee . No water or bread no one came to ask us for drinks. The servers the few that were there were caring for a private party in the main room . The waiter that served us many times in the past knew we were there . When I finally got up and saw the bartender behind the bar, he questioned me after I told him we were sitting there for 25 minutes whether we sat our self as if trying to push the blame on us. Something similar happened a few years back, where we walked out of the restaurant when the servers were tending to larger parties (we were only three.) Tonite we walked out, went to a competitor a mile away and a far more cozier dining experience , excellent food, larger portions at a better dining experience altogether Btw this establishment also had a large private party, but gave the proper attention to the other customers. It seems like La Fontana caters to their bar crowd and large parties and have staffing issues . This was not a fluke as it happened a few years back also . Very disappointed

We were a large party celebrating a birthday in a private room. It took roughly 30 minutes to get bread, 40 minutes to get drinks. Appetizers, an hour. Drink refills were impossible and food was cold. The waiter seldom checked on us. I had food that was apparently sitting in the heated window of kitchen that sat a long time and got dried out. When it came time for the cake, the waiter hacked it to pieces, was falling on the floor, and left a butchered unrecognizable mound behind. We were there for nearly 3 1/2 hours. We couldn't wait to leave. Horrible, horrible experience. My husband and I used to go there 12 years ago and it was our favorite restaurant! We even had our small wedding there! Couldn't believe how badly this turned out. Would not recommended or return there

I have dined here a couple times and was happy with the food offered. But recently when planning an event at their location we were met with a rude staff who showed no interest in assisting in hosting our party. Its sad, as I enjoyed the atmosphere when dining here. Maybe the staff should be properly trained on how to deal with large parties.
