We came across Le Grotte purely by chance. Thankfully, we decided to stop for dinner. The carbonara was one of the best I have ever tasted and the Dolcezza al Pistachio for desert was just exceptional. We also tried the lamb chops that just melted in your mouth and the tiramasu which again, was full of the classic flavour you would expect. If you are in Rome, this is definitely worth a visit!

A Perfect Roman Dinner Experience My wife, our baby, and I had an absolutely wonderful dinner at Le Grotte. From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome — warm, attentive, and genuinely kind, especially toward our little one. The food was fantastic — we had traditional Roman dishes that were full of flavor and perfectly cooked. The pasta was fresh, the wine selection was excellent, and the tiramisu was the perfect ending to a great meal. The ambiance was cozy and romantic, yet relaxed enough for a family. It’s not easy finding a place that feels right for both adults and kids, but Le Grotte got it just right. We’ll definitely be coming back the next time we’re in Rome!

We had a great meal, especially the seafood salad starter and citrus chicken main. The service was also pleasant. We asked and were given an alcove table. Waiters smiled and were efficient enough. Particularly liked our slightly older waiter, with his glasses tucked down his apron front. All good.

Bel ristorante accogliente, dal fascino antico ed accattivante, dal giusto tepore in queste giornate un pò più fredde e solo a due passi da Piazza di Spagna. Ci siamo stati diversi anni fa e ci siamo di nuovo trovati molto bene, abbiamo mangiato dei buoni fiori di zucca degli sfiziosi e croccanti moscardini fritti e poi su consiglio del gentile e premuroso cameriere, abbiamo gustato un ottima spigola al forno con patate arrosto e pomidorini sorseggiando un meraviglioso vermentino sardo. Il locale si trova in centro a Roma ed il suo interno è molto bello con angolini romantici per una cena a due. La qualità dei piatti scelti buona ma da come mi era stato presentato mi aspettavo una qualità maggiore. Il servizio non mi ha soddisfatto poiché si sono dimenticati più cose da noi richieste.

Ristorante molto caratteristico in tutte le salette, con caminetto, affreschi, arazzi e arredamento elegante. Cibo buono con prezzi in linea a tutti gli altri ristoranti di Roma nella stessa fascia. Ordinata una cacio e pepe ed è arrivata fredda, immangiabile. Tuttavia, a seguito della nostra richiesta, il cameriere ne ha subito provveduto alla sostituzione. Ottima la carbonara ed il tiramisù, magari con meno crema e più savoiardi avrebbe reso di più. Posizione comoda vicino al centro.

Un pranzo con i miei amici... direi davvero molto buono. Il ristorante era pieno e questo per me significa quasi sempre " Qualità ". Era la prima volta che sceglievo questo posto leggendo fra le recensioni e quando non sono molto convinta di ciò che scrivono...valuto di persona. Ogni piatto mi ha soddisfatto pienamente, sopratutto il mio primo con scampi e tartufo. Il tartufo bianco o nero di solito io lo mangerei solo con una buona pasta fatta in casa o un risotto al tartufo, semplice. Il loro primo invece con questa associazione strana ma che a mio avviso ha funzionato... mette in risalto non gli scampi ne i calamari ma il tartufo. Gli altri piatti romani davvero buoni ma i carciofi alla giudia gli ho mangiati veramente buoni solo in un ristorante sempre di Roma, strabuoni. Un complimento va a Silvano che correva qua e là per i tavoli cercando di dare e fare del suo meglio. Comunque bravi, ritornerò senz'altro...

Sono una guida turistica ed ho appena accompagnato un gruppo per pranzo L'ambiente è molto ampio, su più livelli ed organizzato in sotto ambienti. I pezzi forti sicuramente sono il banco delle carni crude dalle quali si può scegliere la propria bistecca ed il forno a legna per la pizza. Pare siano conosciuti soprattutto per carbonara ed amatriciana. Il mio pranzo prevedeva un lasagna, non male. Ho chiesto di assaggiare una polpetta perché il cameriere me le ha suggerite. Per finire il tiramisù. Quest'ultimo però mi ha deluso: i biscotti erano ricoperti di una leggera crema che non aveva gusto. Io adoro i dolci. Nei frigoriferi ho intravisto una buona scelta di vini

Ristorante dallo standard elevato in via della Vite, nel cuore di Roma, tra via del Corso, via Frattina, via Condotti, piazza San Silvestro. Ambiente neo classico, con affreschi alle pareti, pietre, archi e privee. Peccato non siano ufficialmente attrezzati per vegetariani e vegani, anche perché dispongono di un ricco buffet in cui le verdure fanno da padrone. Alla richiesta di soddisfare un cliente vegano il cameriere ha storto il muso, quasi avessimo chiesto una merenda da portare sulla luna, ma poi hanno servito un fungo porcino arrosto davvero sublime. Al gambo sodo e saporito affettato sottilmente e arrostito, si contrappone la cappella, dalla consistenza morbidissima, cremosa, setosa, squisita. Piatto magistrale al costo di 22 euro, contrapposto ai tagliolini al tartufo bianco, in cui non si lesinava di certo sulle scaglie di prezioso tubero, a 30 euro. Peccato per il carciofo alla romana, economico, ma senza valore, non corroborato dalla mentuccia e da odori adatti.

Buon posto! Bella sia la location, che i piatti. Io e il mio ragazzo abbiamo preso una pizza margherita e la gricia con pesto di pistacchio. Per poi finire con un tortino al cioccolato e un tiramisù: tutto buono. Siamo finiti qui per caso ed è stata un'ottima scelta. Il prezzo giusto (52€ in 2), per la qualità e il posto. Fresco anche in una giornata d'agosto! Do 4 stelle per il servizio un po' freddo, ma comunque professionale.

Situato a pochi passi da piazza Di Spagna, il ristorante si presenta accogliente e di classe. Ci sono varie sale all'interno ed è presente anche un camino che rende caloroso l'ambiente. La qualità del cibo è discreta e i prezzi sono nella norma. Molto buono il cuore caldo Venchi servito come dolce. Il servizio e abbastanza veloce e il personale è corsiale e gentile.

Had a great time eating here! The food was pretty good, but not quite sure what to compare it to yet as we haven't eaten elsewhere just yet, but overall we enjoyed it. The pizzas were great and the hand cut fries were very well salted and had great texture. We followed up with gelato for dessert and it was delicious, and very refreshing in the heat. Would recommend this as a laid back place for food, we sat outside and there were cars driving right past us occasionally, but this added to the authentic feel in my opinion.

Sono cliente da almeno 25 anni ma da5non avevo più fatto soggiorno a Roma, con tappa da loro obbligata. Location sempre molto bella in centro Roma ma sono decaduti molto nel servizio ( fatto da camerieri non educati e vecchi nei modi e nell’aspetto) senza cura dei dettagli e ristorazione trasformata in turistica..purtroppo non ci tornerò più anche per il fatto che avevo portato una decina di amici e tutti si sono lamentati allo stesso mio modo. I mean the place was pretty but the food is just kinda standard. The pesto one was barely al dente probably more undercooked actually. Lunga attesa dei camerieri distrati. Ottimi funghi fuori menù. Spaghetti alle vongole abbondanti ma insipidi. Il resto buono con porzioni molto parche. Prezzo esagerato: un antipasto di funghi 25 euro! Abbiamo preteso lo scontrino!

Posto bello dall’aspetto ma non ci è stato dato modo di provarlo: entriamo dopo cena attirate dalla scritta “enoteca” per un calice di vino, aspettiamo svariati minuti di fronte al personale che ci ignora volutamente. Dopo esserci avvicinate per chiedere di sederci la risposta è stata sgarbata e scorbutica: no perché è un ristorante e stavano chiudendo. Fino a qui lo avremmo anche accettato, ma è stato inaccettabile quando dopo letteralmente dieci minuti, ripassando di fronte al locale, abbiamo visto tre persone che stavano facendo accomodare in quel momento. Queste discriminazioni tra clienti sono becere e schifose.

We ordered two fish pastas, but there was hardly any fish—just a few small pieces, and the tomatoes in the dish were clearly spoiled. The salad bar, priced at €13, was absolutely not worth it: the quality of the ingredients was disappointing, and even if it had been free, it wouldn’t have made a difference. In the end, everything tasted terrible, and the atmosphere in the restaurant was dull and uninspired.

Service is not good, our server couldn't even give us the right descriptions of the food. He was also not gentle at all while setting the table. We got the meatballs with truffle (I asked the waiter if it was shaved truffle. He said yes - it was not), as well as a pizza and pasta. Meatballs just tasted ordinary, and I couldn't taste the truffle. The pizza was too salty and the crust was thin and wanting. The pasta with pork cheek would have tasted nice but it was undercooked so we had it sent back. When it came back to us, it was now too salty. We waited for 30 minutes for the mains, not including the 10 minutes we waited for the pasta we sent back. I don't recommend this restaurant at all.
