Pescherie Riunite Via Panfilo Castaldi Reviews
Excellent restaurant! Friendly and helpful staff! The food is really good, and the quality/price ratio is excellent! The menu isn't always the same, so you can always find something new. I often take my mom there on Sundays, and we're always very happy! Well done!
Excellent food!
We booked a dinner for four on Saturday evening. It was a unique experience, thanks to the excellent fresh fish we ate. The dishes were truly unique, combining ingredients that complemented each other perfectly. The staff was attentive and professional. The atmosphere was clean and comfortable. The prices were definitely average for the quality, considering the central location in Milan. The seared tuna with sesame and the tonnarelli allo scoglio were highly recommended! A 10 out of 10. Compliments to all the staff and chefs! We'll definitely be back!
Modern restaurant, cheerful and familiar atmosphere... young and helpful staff, they welcome you with a smile and make you feel at home. Excellent quality food, fresh and well-prepared fish. It was a lovely evening from appetizer to dessert... the bill was a surprise for what we ate. A 10 and we'll definitely be back.
An excellent seafood restaurant recently opened on Via Settala. Officially a fishmonger with a kitchen, it's more like a classic, elegant seafood restaurant. One unique feature is that the menu is monthly and seasonal; for example, now, in October, there are many dishes with pine nuts and pumpkin. The potato-crusted sea bream and the salmon tartare with green apple and pomegranate are highly recommended, a perfect combination of flavors. The desserts are also splendid, and the idea of a delicious tiramisu in a cup is a wonderful one—a perfect size to finish an already substantial meal. Prices are reasonable considering the seafood (around €13 for first courses and €15 for second courses). Highly recommended.
The decor is simple but pleasant. You order your food on a sheet of paper listing the dishes available, and you can also choose when you want them served, whether as a first course or a second course. The staff is kind and friendly. The food is excellent, and the fish is fresh. My family and I ordered all three first courses, and they were all very good. Next, we ordered the grilled octopus on a bed of ricotta and chard, which was truly delicious. The only thing we weren't entirely satisfied with was the raw octopus, as we've had better, but it was still good and fresh. Excellent value. We'll definitely be back.
Good, honest, simple, yet deliciously tasty! We had lunch on a scorching Sunday, but the place was cool and well-lit. We were greeted by two waiters with warm smiles, which is always a pleasure 😊 The lunch was enjoyed by everyone; the main courses were imaginative, the appetizers traditional. The first course selection could be improved, too few for the ten main courses available. The deconstructed cannoli was excellent, especially the fresh ricotta, which was appreciated by friends from Catania. The tiramisu was unique; it tasted like a cappuccino in a cup of coffee. Original, I'd say...
Tried to book, by WhatsApp and by phone, as per their website instructions. No answer, therefore I did not go
I went in with high expectations and left so-so. A few good dishes, like the sea bass with Jerusalem artichokes and the grilled cuttlefish, were fresh and well-cooked, but nothing more. The fried anchovies were good, even if they suffered from too much breading. The mixed fried fish was mediocre, and I had the impression that the oil wasn't very fresh. The mussel soup was forgettable, with tiny mussels, overcooked and reheated with lukewarm mussels and cold shells. The bottom was fine. The pink shrimp, unpeeled and unpeeled, were taken from the Styrofoam and placed on some ice on the plate... the freshness of each shrimp varied. I enjoyed the mini tiramisu served in a coffee cup. Unfortunately, I don't know about the bill; my friends paid first, unintentionally... The staff were kind and helpful.
The Pescherie Riunite is a place for people loving fish and oil. My wife love seafood so we went here after just arriving in Milan late in the evening. My wife normally eat a lot when seafood is served but did not here. I love lightly cooked cod. The cod dish I got here was cold and set up like pulled pork and tasted and had a texture very far from proper cooked cod (like we do in Norway). Maybe this is just me, but this was a big disappointment. They did not have alternatives for people not eating fish except for some starters
The food was disappointing. I returned my main course—sea bass with mash and asparagus—because the fish wasn’t fresh, very dry and was clearly not grilled as the waiter had claimed, yet I was still charged for it. The salmon tartare was bland, poorly sliced, and included bits of the fatty layer beneath the skin (see image). Service was chaotic: staff rotated constantly, asked the same questions repeatedly, and stood around joking in groups. The menu tries to please everyone but ends up doing none of it well. A 50-euro dinner I wouldn’t eat again even for free. Avoid at all costs.
