Bar Via Poderetto Reviews
Every time we visit NYC, we come to Zibetto for the best espresso drinks in midtown. Italian operated and they know how to make great espresso drinks via their high-quality Sanremo espresso machine. It’s a small space, but that doesn’t detract from the good service and atmosphere of jazzy piano tunes playing. If you’re a fan of cocoa, try the marocchino.
It’s giving traditional Italian coffee spot. standing room only. GREAT coffee, and i always love an apricot croissant - they are not easy to find!
One liner review - the best Italian coffee in New York. If you are looking for authentic Italian coffee, look no further. I ordered a cappuccino and my wife ordered a latte. Both were amazing to Rome quality. They also serve tasty paninis and a variety of pastries. I would recommend a prosciutto panini and a chocolate croissant. Ambience is modern. Beautiful marble tops inside. No wifi here. Service was friendly and professional. Price runs at a high end, a panini is $12-13.
Pure, quality Italian coffee. Stopped by this past Monday morning for coffee and pastries. A friend who works nearby mentioned this was the most popular coffee spot among his colleagues, and he wasn’t exaggerating. Two Italian gentlemen behind the counter, with the older barista moving his hands like clockwork, almost robotic in precision. No wonder people were nearly lining out the door on a rainy Monday morning. Fortunately, the line moved quickly, and we were in and out within five minutes. Like most people in line, I ordered a cappuccino with a double shot and a Maritozzi (cream bun). The cappuccino was exquisitely silky and velvety, with a delicate hint of fruitiness that lingered just right. The bun was slightly dry, but the cream’s texture and sweetness were spot on.
Great taste Italian coffe in Small space. In bussy Americas Avenue 56th streetRazonable prices. Attended by gently and kindly week dressed gentlemen barista. Sweet or salt sides for your preferred coffe. Paninis, Cornettos, pudín. Street tables are avaliable.
What a pleasant discovery. We found this place randomly and we loved our experience there. Unfortunately, there are no seats but this is why is also called “espresso” bar. Espesso was very very good and like in Italy. Service was great and people very friendly. We talked with them a lot and they were very nice. We also got an Avocado Cheesecake and it was delicious. I will definitely go there again for a quick espresso next time I’ll be in town.
I had espressos in at least 8 different places in my trip to NYC. Most of those were pretty good but Zibetto was a cut above. If you want consistently good coffee, come here.
Stumbled upon this small espresso bar near my hotel! Skip the big chain coffee shop and go here! You won’t be disappointed. I enjoyed an iced cappuccino because their menu didn’t have my usual cold brew. It was really good! Lots of treats available that I didn’t try but I’ll be back for sure.
Home to many European men standing at the counter pretending to ignore the throngs of private equity guys in their 50s getting 8:55am cappuccinos. But they make a mean coffee not gonna lie. I love the latte. Their iced and hot drinks are good. There’s place to stand and one table outside. A great spot to get a coffee then walk in the park. I use it for coffee meetings (to go, walk in the park)
Had a morning run in the park and stumbled upon this great coffee bar. I ordered a double espresso and it was very good. I saw a lot of people ordering cappuccinos and lattes in front of me and they looked great too. Would highly recommend as a place to grab a quick coffee - it is narrow so not a place where you sit and converse for an extended period of time.
Still the best coffee in Manhattan. This tiny location is almost entirely takeaway, but the coffee is smooth, aromatic, delicious. I honestly do not know why folks get coffee anywhere else. If you avoid a certain chain where the coffee costs more "bucks" and deserves fewer "stars," you'll be happier.
My absolute favorite and expresso/atte/Coffee paradise. If you love coffee then this place is for u. I am here 2-3 times a week.. the place has a charm and coffee takes you to a Paris cafe.. it’s well priced and they have a lot of bite sized condiments.. my fav fav fav thing is mini bambalini it’s a bite that’s worth it.. I highly recommend a visit . Crowd varies from suited finance bro’s , tourists to regulars like me
2021-07-04: Praising some higher power. Zibetto survived the pandemic! They are still making some of the best Espresso drinks in a great Italian way. Wonderful staff, and better coffees! The croissants are darn tasty too! 2019: Genuine. This place is a styled as an old school Italian Espresso Bar. It is truly outstanding. They make a great drink.
Great little spot near Central Park. The Cappuccino was delicious and was perfect on a chilly, rainy, foggy day in New York! The croissant/cornetto and the little donut I ordered were a tad harder than I'd have liked, but still tasty. The server was charming and energetic. She photobombed one of my photos below, while I was trying to snap a pic of the store hours. There are no chairs inside, as it's very small and narrow, but there are four little stand-up shelves to lean on by the wall. Careful you don't bump into anyone in line behind you, though. Overall, I can see this place getting packed pretty quickly on days with better weather, but it wasn't crowded at all when I went on a Saturday afternoon in Manhattan. Definitely recommending the coffee, and try your luck with the pastries. Maybe you'll fare better and get freshly baked ones. Cappuccino was $5.05 Sfogliatelle (tiny donut holes) was $5.52 for 2 Cornetto (croissant equivalent) was $3.44. Total spent: $18.30 with tax and everything. 4/5 stars from me
Tbh I must say coffee was just fine. The milk foam was not that creamy but the cocoa powder that was added on was a plus. Pastries were delicious, although slightly expensive.I had the apricot cookie and a vanilla cream & cherry pie. Highly recommend the apricot cookie. The oval pie shell was good, cream filling was good too. But for the cherry.. it was literally ONE cherry, dried. So I’ll say just get the pie with only cream. Anyway, staff was the reason I enjoy my stay yesterday. 4 stars eventually. Other wise I’ll give a 3.. still, a fine spot to take a break!
I love coffee here, food is delicious, service is great, just one "BUT". The trash bin makes a loud noise every time it closes, since it doesn’t have a soft-close mechanism. It’s quite distracting in the café. Otherwise the place is great.
