An unexpected closure at our usual pizzeria led to a detour here. Grateful for the heat of the wood fire, and the gracious welcome to our excited two year old, but above all for the very surprisingly excellent pizza, with a quality of dough and vegetables far above the Lecco standard. (The garrulous group of colleagues having a festive pre-Christmas lunch near us had a spread of equally promising looking fare, including some fried pizzas that are now on my to try list.)

Very authentic and friendly Italian place. Pizzas are the best I've ever had. Freshly made. Will come back any time we are in Lecco. Prices are very good for such delicious pizzas. The chief even made us a heart-shaped pizzas.

Warm, lovely, family atmosphere. From the start we were asked where we were from to get a personalized menu. The waitress was just the nicest person ever and the pizza was heart-shaped. Perfect for our 4th anniversary. Also, the prices were really good, €8.5 for a solid Tuna e Cipolla. Recommend 100% :)

The pizza is lovely and the prices are low. The staff are awesome and speak English. The atmosphere is nothing fancy but they have an outside area and everything is very clean. They also have the option of filled crust with mozzarella cheese 🍕

Late night snack at Pizza 2001? Yes please! We arrived late on a Wednesday night around 10pm after a long ride, but the staff was just super friendly and inviting. We had a chat to the Pizza Baker Carlo, who happened to speak German as well. He created an individual pizza for me as I just couldn't decide which one to take. My partner and I enjoyed every bite of it. On top we got very good suggestions where to spend our holidays in the area, which made the red vine we had along the food taste even better. Well done Pizza 2001 and cheers to Carlo. Your pizza was awesome.
