Wonderful place in nature with breathtaking views and excellent food

Time passes, and while many places that have made history or that I simply enjoyed as a child have fallen into disrepair, La Maddalena not only endures but is becoming increasingly beautiful. The work behind the entire estate is truly commendable, and the food (still) is truly delicious. A special mention: the two waiters are very young, but they manage the tables on their own in a truly exceptional manner, always with a smile.

A charming and quiet place, also accessible by car on a dirt road. Ample free parking is available. The young, friendly, and welcoming staff are attentive. Authentic cuisine and generous fixed-menu dishes. Prices are more than fair. Reservations are required. Overnight stays are also available.

We were looking for a nice place to eat “homemade”, to spend time outdoors, paying an acceptable amount. Objective super achieved. The hut can be reached by car or with a walk of just under 1 hour on flat land, you can also do it with a stroller. The hut is beautiful, completely renovated and inside it feels like being in a restaurant in the city with a stunning view of the valley ... the large windows help you enjoy the view. Outside tables, perfectly maintained lawns where you can use deck chairs and towels, interact with some cows and horses (separated from the hut for hygiene reasons). Fixed menu that changes depending on what nature and the period offers, the service starts at 13, 6 appetizers, first course, second course, dessert, coffee. All homemade, but well prepared and quality. Well-stocked wine list with reasonable prices. Millesimato Prosecco from € 15 and € 20, Nebbiolo from € 16 and € 20 etc. Impeccable service, seconds of each course if you like. I like to advertise those who offer a service of this level, people who still do their job with passion, love and a lot of honesty. I will definitely be back, well done, much respect for your choice on how to carry on the place!

Great place, spacious and spotless. Personnel was polite, pleasant and competent. The food was typically Piedmont - style, tasty and variable. The wine was from Piedmont too, higher level at a low price. Prices were normal for what and how much you it. Highly recommended

Visited for a light cold lunch. Beautiful location with a view. It's accessible via an easy, slightly elevated walk from San Giacomo di Roburent. There are animals and outdoor games for children. Downside: Too crowded, with ignorant and rude people. Crowds for outdoor tables. The indoor restaurant is by reservation only.

The place is beautiful. Surrounded by greenery and a spectacular view. Seasonal ingredients. Quality. Interesting and even daring menu choices, but this needs explaining, and to explain it I have to explain how the service works. The menu is fixed. You eat whatever's available that day, which is prepared, I assume, for the guests staying in the rooms. That's why it's recommended to book a couple of days in advance. There were only two of us, so they welcomed us without any problems. Lunch service starts at 1:00 PM sharp. You reach the restaurant via a winding road that's even unpaved for the last three kilometers, but doable. Damn narrow, but doable. Let's get back to the topic of courage, because today they had lamb as a main course, which is a risky choice; not everyone eats lamb... I don't prefer it, but I have to admit it was really well cooked. The appetizers were excellent. The veal with tuna sauce was simply exceptional. The spring tajarin (zucchini, cream, and pancetta) are delicious and fresh. The portions are generous, you can have seconds of every course, and the price is very reasonable. The dessert could be improved, but the trio is still an interesting choice. We didn't stay overnight, so we can't rate the rooms. We'll be back. By motorbike.

Posto bellissimo, curatissimo e pulito sia all'esterno che all'interno. Abbastanza deludente il pranzo e il servizio. Antipasto scarso, tagliatelle ai funghi senza funghi con tantissima panna e aglio, secondo di carne buono.

Arrivati alle 11 ci è stato detto che per mangiare c'è bisogno della prenotazione e se volevamo era possibile consumare panini, taglieri o insalta. Pochissime persone e all'interno la sala quasi completamente libera. Ovviamente siamo andati via subito. Non siete ne un rifugio e ne un ristorante. Vivamente sconsigliato
