Osteria El Patio Viale Derna Reviews
This is an authentic Italian restaurant in Alcudia old town. I tried their focaccia and classic pizzas and they were pretty good though there could’ve been a bit more cheese on the margherita. Whether you’re in the mood for a quick bite or a relaxed dinner, this is the place to go in Alcudia for genuine Italian flavor. Prices are fair. One tip: make a reservation. For some reason, they’re often fully booked (even on weekdays, at odd hours, and during the off-season). I still haven’t figured out why, but it tells you something.
In Barcelona, there’s a famous pizzeria that’s considered the best in Europe according to several reputable rankings. This restaurant’s pizzeria is no worse! At the very least, the mortadella + pistachio pizza is mind-blowing. The pasta alle vongole is super delicious too! I see people leaving bad reviews here, and I just can’t wrap my head around how anyone could give such divinely delicious food a low rating??!!! And what do these people even consider to be “real pizza”??? Apparently, for them, pizza is just some yeast-free crispy dough baked in electric oven…
The food was very tasty. We had the Margherita Pizza, Lasagne, and some chips between us, and we thoroughly enjoyed every bite of it. We nearly gave this place a miss as we wanted to sit outside but all the tables at the front were taken, however we over heard one of the staff asking some other customers if they wished to sit inside or in the garden at the back of the restaurant. There is a lovely little courtyard at the through the back of the restaurant, mostly covered from the sun, which is just peaceful and away from the busyness of the street. Would highly recommend
We walled past the restaurant during our walk through the old town and a couple dining outside was eating pizza that looked amazing, looked at some other places around but walked back. We sat outside but not long into ordering drinks the weather turned, we asked to be seated inside which wasn’t an issue for the staff. Early dinner was delicious, the pizzas were lovely and we ordered mussels too after seeing some photos on instagram. Pizzas were already in the oven so asked for mussels whenever they will be ready and what a great choice, dipping pizza crust in the mussels sauce was delicious! Our holiday is coming to an end but we will definitely be back next time we’re in the area. Highly recommend! Also I’d recommend booking a table if dining in the evening as practically all tables have been reserved as we were leaving.
Nice place but the pizza arrived a bit cold. I ordered margerita buffalina and I was a dissapointed with the amount of cheese. I basically ate just dough and the tomato sauce with poor amount of cheese. Its maybe just my opinion, but the pizza place in my hometown, is definitely more generous with ingredients. The staff seemed nice, but when we did not want anything to drink, they looked at us like we were supposed to order something. I was driving and drank a full bottle of water before we arrived, so I simply did not want to hydrate my body even more. Overall it was good experience. The restaurant played some nice Italian and Spanish music.
I really didn't like the service and atmosphere at this place. The waiters took our order and went off laughing happily among themselves. Twenty minutes passed, and it turned out that they had simply forgotten about it and hadn't passed it on. They brought me tiramisu with a piece of plastic in it, quite sharp, thank God it didn't go to a child. When the people at the next table left, the same two waiters stood there and laughed at them, it was just disgusting!
Had an average at most pizza here. Ordered the margarita with buffalo mozzarella, which looked as disappointing as it tasted. Pizza dough too chewy and very fine. Mozzarella maybe buffalo, but didn’t have much taste and was chewy. Staff asked a few times if everything was okay, they being italians should know how a good pizza looks like. Not much atmosphere, but since its in the historic centre - the place has its charm. Overall a disappointing dinner.
