Curbside Cafe Vista Reviews
I love this place! Been going for decades. Food's great, and it doubles as an art gallery.
I enjoy Curbside Café and my fav is the everything bagel and lox, cream cheese, slices of tomato and lots of capers! ... Plenty of all ingredients (I never eat the lettuce). My destination today. Yea!
Lovely decor, and the breakfast was delicious! Can’t recommend enough. Fantastic service, everyone is super polite and the food came lightning fast. I’d also add that this was probably the best bacon I’ve tried in Vista. I also recommend the Poinsettia (Champagne and cranberry juice), it’s just the right amount of sour.
I’ve been eating breakfast at Curbside for years. It’s the best breakfast in North County. My kids beg me to go there every time they visit. The food, service and small town atmosphere are wonderful. Love it!
As soon as I turned onto Main St., I knew this restaurant was going to be awesome. From the sidewalk patio chairs and tables setup on the ‘curb’, to the old school decor, the paintings for sale, the classic crayons, and the age of their espresso machine (according to my barista son), this place did not disappoint. We opened with the #1 voted Cinnamon Roll, just enough for the 6 of us. Excellent!!! My family ordered the BigBird (BLT on toasted sourdough), a BLTA (BLT with avocado), the Monte Cristo, the Chicken Fried Steak, a short stack and mine was the Chorizo Omellette. Once my plate landed, the aroma of the chorizo pulled me in and I was smitten. Next time I’m in Vista, I’m eating here. I posted a pic of my finished plate, you want to see what it looks like before, go here and order it. You won’t be disappointed. I will be back.
My grandma and I came to Curbside Cafe for lunch and were in a rush to get a quick bite before an appointment. The staff accommodated our rushed schedule with ease, which we were so grateful for. The whole place gives a sweet "mom's cooking" nostalgia kinda vibe, making it a great spot for lunch. My grandma ordered a simple garden salad, while I opted for the BLTA; Bacon Lettuce Tomato Avocado sandwich. It was INCREDIBLE! I asked a few of the staff, and they all said that was their favorite sandwich. I highly recommend trying it out! Overall, Curbside Cafe was a wonderful experience!✨
Absolutely enjoyed my first experience here. Angela, a new waitress, was very friendly and inviting. Though new, she knew the menu well and gave great recommendations, which we ended up enjoying! Their menu has a wide variety of food selections and the cafe itself is pretty cute and quite unique. There's artwork everywhere, and I'm unsure of if they are currently selling, but it makes the place very inviting. They have wonderful space for many parties/groups of people and their glass view of the village is to die for, especially because they have indoor and outdoor space. Would come again!
This was our first time here, and it was really good from start to finish. The food is definitely the star of the show. The cinnamon rolls are fresh baked, and are amazing. The biscuits and gravy had especially great flavor, as did the rest of the food we ordered. The entire breakfast delivered, hands down. Service was good. Nothing special, but the server was polite, kept our coffee topped off and brought our food/check out quickly. The venue is just your basic cafe style restaurant. Nothing fancy, but nice enough to sit down and have a bite. There's an outside seating area that's dog friendly, which is really cool for pet owners. I'll be back, and would definitely recommend this place to others.
Kind of a small, quaint breakfast place. I enjoy coming here with family. Breakfast is always tasty, staff is friendly. Kid friendly.
My friend and I have been here several times and for the most part like it. My only pick at is the potatoes either hash browns or home fries. Both of which are considered a breakfast staple. First, the hash browns… they are too soft and no flavor. Like they are boiled first. Not sure, but there’s a certain expectation with hash browns, like crispy on the outside and just done on the inside. Asking for extra crispy still doesn’t do it. Okay, for the home fries, they are always usually precooked. That’s fine, but these are boiled not baked which makes them too watery… yes it’s a thing. And the pieces are way too big, not crispy at all and no flavor again. So eating them isn’t pleasant especially when having to use ketchup. In my opinion should never happen with a good home fry. All home fries should be fried with some oil, crispy on at least two sides and nicely bite sized with bell pepper and onion. The flavor bursts. I love potatoes and hope this post helps with making them better. Otherwise, we always loved the atmosphere, most of the food, and coffee is decent.
We stopped her for breakfast. The food overall was good but pur service was lacking. Our waitress only stopped by once. Also I ordered their famous "cinnamon roll" but it's not a cinnamon roll, it's a sticky bun with nuts on top. I got chicken fried steak which the gravy saved. The steaks where ones deep fried from the freezer so not home made. Everything else was fresh and tasted great.
Wife loved the salmon bagel. I ordered biscuits and gravy. Taste was great but gravy was barely warm. They were also stingy with it. Was not sure about the biscuits as they were grilled or toasted or something. Not bad, but different. Overall very sad, because if it was hot, might have been great.
All the reviews hyped this place up and it wasn't as great as everyone made it sound to be. You are definitely neglected if you're eating outside and are 50 and under in age. The elderly crowd was well attended to more. Our bill was dropped immediately with our food, and it took forever for her to collect payment. The food was ok, but nothing great enough to return in my opinion.
