Great food. Great service! My wife asked for something, a plain cheese quesadilla, on the fly after the meal and it was no problem and came out fast.
Loved this place! Great food and a very pleasant atmosphere. Fantastic cauliflower buffalo tacos. We'll definitely return!
The steak tacos were fantastic, and you couldn't beat $5 frozen margaritas! Be prepared though, the portions are very large, so come hungry.
One of the best bartenders in the region. She knows customer service and efficiency. Makes a great martini!
Wonderful. Dylan and Makayla are the tits. Will be back.
Great service, fresh ingredients, exciting and creative rotating specials!
best tacos ive ever had. lovely service as well!! so glad i came here, it was such a good experience.
Excellent service and fantastic food. Vegeterian menu is great. Visited this place with my husband, definitely one of the best restaurants I have been to.
We've had dinner here with our extended family of 12 several times and the staff has always been gracious and accommodating.
Truly excellent service! We appreciated the friendliness and attentiveness so much. We’ll definitely be back!
So much fun from the minite we walked in the door with-out a reservation. Beds wete so comfortable, room spotless, started a fire in the firepit after sundown. Terri was amazingly helpful. Gotta check this place out!
Great service. Wonderful food. The staff is warm and welcoming. This is one of the hidden gems of the Catskills.
Vegan bowl is outstanding. And the buffalo cauliflower is so good. Strong drinks too.
Great upscale Mexican food and great hamburgers. Some of the specials are great. Not listed here. Drinks are good.
Delicious and reasonably priced food. Can be a little noisy, but friendly & relaxed atmosphere. Large variety of tequilas and margaritas. Can get busy, so make a reservation. Yum!
Best French fries 5/5, good overall Mexican food too , burger 4/5, chimmichanga 5/5, pulled pork 5/5 buffalo cauliflower 5/5 . Solid eats here . Updated review - food is consistently good. Great creme brulee too.
First time we have gone so we ordered a few things so we spent a little more then we normally would. It's a big Resturant with half a big bar area a ND some booths and tables and the other half kinda devited into rooms with many more tables and booths. We went on a Monday night late so it wasn't very busy. I had a Margarita Wich was perfect! We started with On special the seafood soup, Buffalo cauliflower and fried plantains. Soup was so good the seafood was not over cooked at all for being in a broth. The buffalo cauliflower was the first time we've had it and it was so good because it tastes said even the texture like buffalo wings it kind of blew my mind. The fried plantains you're really nice with a breaded coating. I had the seafood burrito which came with rice and beans and a small little side salad which was a good idea. My husband is a chef the pulled pork tacos also serve the sides. And my daughter add the steak tacos. Both my husband and I we're very pleased that any piece of seafood the entire meal was cooked perfectly! Both of the taco dishes were great made from scratch taco shells we're very good. The only thing was that they were out of a few of the specials but like I said we came late so that was mostly because of that. I would definitely go back with friends or on a nice date nite.
We went for Father's Day and had a good time. Santa Fe is child friendly and great for families. Very tasty food with fresh greens with a great house dressing. Try the goat cheese quesadillas and the buffalo cauliflower.
Can’t say enough about this place, if we’re could leave a 6 star-review, we would! Consistent, delicious take out that we always order during our lazy cabin stays in the Catskills. ProTip: always order the skewered Shrimps, salsa and chips, enchilada, chimichangas
Great food (black bean soup (et all) was EXCELLENT: friendly staff. I dropped my rice and beans leftovers on the floor on my way out and the bar tender jumped up and simply went and got me more to bring home. That extra gesture (and the food!) leave a great experience for all. Will return soon.
Excellent! The food was beyond wonderful, Tara, our server, was friendly and patient with all of our crazy requests. Great atmosphere and very clean! Including the bathrooms!
This place is a family favorite! Whenever out of town visitors come so, this is where we head to! Wonderful food in a great environment! The cheesecake churros for dessert are absolutely a must-have!
Really good menu, clean beer lines from the taps and much roomier than their other restaurants. Hip food and drinks without feeling crowded and frantic. Nice
Newly renovated, great southwestern simple atmosphere. Food is fantastic and served by a wonderful server Kate. A must stop for brunch, or dinner, you will not be disappointed. ..
Amazing tasting food it was fast too the waiters were exceptional and the atmosphere was amazing if you go you have to try the calamari!
Excellent food! Generous portion! Friendly staff! Set us up for a 3 hour get together and kept everyone happy.
One of our favorite restaurants in Woodstock, can't go wrong here! Great food, wonderful staff and a great atmosphere!
Excellent food, great atmosphere. A tad loud, but everyone is having a great time!
Always will be amazing. Slightly long wait times for the food is made up for how it is one of the only Mexican restaurants in Woodstock, making it popular which completely explains the wait time.
Excellent tacos and fantastic service. Try the barbacoa.
A Culinary Fiesta at Santa Fe in Woodstock Step into Santa Fe in Woodstock, and you're immediately transported to a realm where flavors dance on your palate and every bite tells a story of culinary excellence. Firstly, let's raise a glass to Bernie, the masterful bartender whose concoctions are nothing short of magic. Setting the tone for an unforgettable dining adventure. The moment you step through the door, you're greeted with the inviting aroma of freshly made chips and salsa, setting the stage for what's to come. And if you happen to visit on Wing night, consider yourself blessed! Those wings are an absolute delight, with flavors that ascend to heavenly levels of deliciousness. My taste buds were treated to a tantalizing journey with every bite of the lobster burrito. Overflowing with succulent lobster meat and a medley of vibrant flavors, it was a culinary masterpiece that left me speechless. And let's not forget about the grilled steak, tender, juicy, and bursting with savory goodness, it was a testament to the chef's skill and expertise. If you're searching for a culinary adventure that will leave you craving more, look no further than Santa Fe. Trust me; you won't be disappointed.
This place is a gem! We can for my partner’s birthday dinner and feasted on the fish tacos and a special of the night of mixed fajitas. We also indulged in some of the homemade key lime pie for dessert. Yum! The food was delicious, authentic, and very fresh. The staff were very friendly and accommodating and the atmosphere is beautiful. Highly recommend this place for high quality Mexican in the Woodstock area.
We were party of 18, teens and adults, after day of skiing. They were very accommodating. Food was amazing, very fresh! Guacamole was top notch and great margaritas. Very attentive staff and we had our own room. Highly recommend!
Tried 5 of their tacos and they were all delicious! Good atmosphere, friendly staff. The lobster quesadilla was fire too!
The bartender Tatiana is like an angel - her cocktails fortified me. Fabulous conversation + service. I ate so many chips. It was a whirlwind of beauty—my time at Santa Fe.
This is truly a great place! I have been here many times, and it never disappoints. The atmosphere is great, the margaritas are awesome and the food is wonderful. Try the chimichanga.... it come out nice a crisp and hot. Nice large portions. Oh....Margaritas....nothing else needs to be said!!
My order was Tacos was very delicious. The beans and rice oohh my gosh so delicious 😋 😍
Stopped in here after the Rail Explorer ride, simply Googled food near me on the way to the highway. I was really impressed with the food, the calamari was the best calamari I've had in a long time, the pulled pork tacos and salad were really good, so flavourful. My kids who are picky with Mexican food ate everything and had dessert. I feel the food was reasonably priced and definitely think this place deserves 5 stars. If I'm ever back in the area I will definitely eat here again. The offered dine in or outside which was great according to your preference during covid.
Easily my favorite place to do dinner around the area. I've never had a disappointing meal. No matter what I order, it's always delicious. The owner is super nice, the staff is amazing, and their bar staff is always friendly. This is such a great place. It's great for parties as well as solo dining. Gigantic plus for me is that they are family friendly!
We go to restaurants because we want to be awed by great food. I had the halibut special with fresh vegetables and wonderful rice. My wife -- the most incredible fried chicken with superb accouterments. Do not walk...RUN...for a perfect meal!
Loved the food. Staff was friendly. We had an appetizer that we munched on but was salty, and after letting the staff know and they were nice enough to take it off our bill! Regular pitcher margarita was also good!
Great food, service, and ambience.
The food was very good. The outdoor patio was nice enough, but slightly cramped when all the tables were full and it seemed our server was occupied inside.
Not living in the area, we stopped here on a bit of a whim. Fantastic find! Clearly popular among the locals, as it gradually filled up while we were there. The cilantro and shrimp skewer appetizer was superb! Lovers of Mexican food should definitely have this place on their radar.
Fantastic. Super fresh. Huge tacos with very good flavors. Had the short rib and pulled pork tacos which were totally on point. Also very cute decor and atmosphere. Excellent guac and Tuna ceviche. Would recommend for sure.
Everything, especially shrimp tacos, delicious and washed down with superb local beer Fruit Bomb IPA. Instant serving of chips and salsa really nice touch at nominal cost. Friendly efficient service despite busy and short staffed.
We stopped in here with no reservation and were delighted to get a great table right away. The namesake margarita was sooooo good. Not too sweet or salty and all good ingredients too. Some places have very artificial tasting margaritas but you don't have that here. The Oaxaca tacos were juicy and delicious. They make their own hot sauces here and they're excellent. Great service too. The only thing we weren't crazy about was the soup special because it was so chunky and barely any broth. However it was fresh tasting and the main course overshadowed the soup. We may have found our favorite new spot. Definitely, check it out.
My fiance and I stayed at the Hotel Dylan for a quick overnight trip and this restaurant is on site. Being a huge foodie, I did a bunch of research for restaurants in the area, and while there are a bunch of good options, Santa Fe looked amazing and was convenient so we went for. Glad we did! We sat at the bar and our bartender was awesome. Food and drinks were as equally awesome. I am so glad we went here. Next time we are in the area, we will def go back. You can't go wrong here! Yum!
last night i came in to have dinner with my friends and there was a new server who was excellent! she was so personable and pleasant. gave us great suggestions from the menu. will definitely be returning soon
Food is delicious! Been here twice and its a must-good when were in the area. Madi was our waitresses this time and was very accommodating. I got the shrimp tacos and theyre one of the best. Prices arent half bad either.
Their tortilla chips and guacamole are amazing! The food is great and the service is wonderful.
Whether you choose bar or table service it is immaculate. Very low stress environment and great service everyone was very friendly. Good food and great bartender I believe he name was Andrew
My experience at Santafe Restaurant was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth and professionalism. The ambiance was relaxed yet refined, creating the perfect setting for a memorable meal. What truly made our visit stand out was the incredible service we received from the manager, Kuda. She has a truly radiant smile that instantly made us feel welcome and at ease. Throughout our time there, she checked in on us regularly—not in an intrusive way, but with genuine care and attentiveness. Kuda was not only professional, but also engaging and personable. She went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and satisfied with everything. It’s rare to come across someone who balances hospitality, professionalism, and warmth so effortlessly. Kuda is a true asset to the Santafe team, and thanks to her, we’re already looking forward to our next visit. Highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for great food and outstanding service!
Santa Fe was awesome. Service was on point, the food was spot-on, and they had an IPA I really love—Heady Topper. What’s not to like? We went on a Friday night in Feb '25, and it was surprisingly packed. We had reservations—our table was ready the minute we walked in. Sadly, I'm writing this a bit late, but I still remember those Barbacoa Short Rib Tacos hitting the spot. My partner had the Black Angus NY Strip and was just as happy. Honestly, we both walked out of there and nodded to each other with that look, “Yep, we’re definitely coming back.”
Everything was great. I'm not crazy about Mexican food however, the steak was perfect, cauliflower, and fish tacos were excellent as well. There were about twenty-five of us in our group and everyone loved all of the entrees. The guacamole was delicious and served with cucumbers and onions. There was only one bar tender but he was extremely fast and professional. They didn't need two, with him there. Lol... I can't remember the last time i enjoyed a Mexican restaurant this much. Well done.
Been dining at Santa Fe in Woodstock for quite some time. The atmosphere is great plenty of room at the bar if you desire. I’m a big fan of their steak tacos, and for an appetizer, the guacamole and chips and salsa. They also have some great specials too. The margaritas are amazing, but they also have a couple of good wines and a nice selection of draft and bottle/can beers. Staff are always pleasant and helpful . Establishment is clean and bathrooms are updated as well. Check it out.
We enjoyed an early dinner at Santa Fe on Rt 28 in Woodstock ❤️ perfection grilled shrimp appetizer 6 delicious shrimps best in life, guacamole, enchiladas tipico, and excellent drinks - the original Santa Fe in Tivoli is very festive and this restaurant is more subdued and very peaceful which we enjoy too - and waitstaff very kind and accommodating
First time here, and it was delicious! It was a bit noisy at first because we were seated near the bar, but otherwise it’s wonderfully decorated and comfy! Food was fantastic, I ordered the steak tacos and they were the best I’ve ever had! The steak was juicy, tender, and thick — not like the over cooked, burned strips I’ve had at other places. Even the side salad and rice was great. And the guacamole was also some of the best I’ve tasted. Highly recommend, will be back! Thanks to our server, Charles!
This restaurant kept the amazing vibe of Woodstock flowing with tasty drinks and delicious Mexican food. The daily drink special was very fairly priced. They didn’t mind when we asked for a substitute off of the menu. We appreciated the easy going attitude. The place was clean and cool looking. The best part was the “above and beyond.” I forgot my credit card, and they tried tracking me down. Once we got it figured out, they had no problem mailing it back to me halfway across the state. Great service! Great atmosphere! Great food! 5 stars aren’t enough!
I hit this place once per year when traveling through the region. One of my favorites. Lobster Quesadilla is on point! Tequila menu is good to go.
Food was amazing. Service a little slow considering it wasn't too busy. A very nice dinner out with family!
Very tasty meal. Everything we had was fresh, a surprise to me during a pandemic, I was very happy with this restaurant I would do again.
Great staff. Mediocre but good mexican but for the times it suffices to say worth the ride. Enjoyed the modelo margherita thingy. Options are nice size.
Give it a shot. On the property of Hotel Dylan. Little pricier but decent. Met expectations for Catskills area. Sangria was well made.
Decent food, great service, but very noisy. Like hard to hold a conversation noisy. You can request the side room, the one with the fireplace, for a quieter environ, or ask to be seated outside on their tiny patio. Or the enclosed porch areas are even ok. The main dining room is a no go for sound.
Have been going for quite some time now. Its always a pleasure. Great staff. We love seeing everyone gather here. Ashley is a peach and always takes care of us.
Great food! And pleasant atmosphere. Staff can be a little edgy, but don't let that take away from your experience. Would dine here again!
Good food. Good prices. Nice large bar, always has seating. Fun atmosphere. Has a good nacho deal on Tuesdays
Great rib tacos and lots of free, excellent chips and salsa. Did is good, upholstery is a little dirty though but not dirty enough to keep me away.
Bernadette took amazing care of us! Food was great and we had a fun girls night!
Good food and great frozen margs. Pick-up can be a little inconsistent, but is generally good. Dining there is great especially at the bar
Tacos were delicious! Went on taco night and had the choice of 5-6 different tacos. My favorite are the braised short rib tacos. The meat is Cooked perfect and all the garnishes, sauces, toppings are excellent flavor bursts! It wasn’t overly busy but yet we did have to wait a few times for our server to come for a refill, sauce, etc. overall highly recommend for an upscale taco night. We will be back!
Let me start by saying I’m just so grateful Santa Fe has a location on 28. I moved to Kingston from Brooklyn 5 years ago and recently purchased a house in Shokan and let’s just say we’re in a bit of a food desert out here (without driving into Woodstock) so super glad to have it on our way home. Plusses are weekly specials and a 10$ margarita. Bummers are 23$ taco dinners for “decent” tacos and small portioned guacamole and chips and salsa for the price. But all in all love having this place close to home. If not for Santa Fe it would just be Olives country store or that disgraceful Dunkin Donuts they’ve decided to desecrate our land with. Anyway, see you on nacho night.
Excellent fare, as always. Definitely should have made a reservation, as Saturday nights are a bit busier than others. Service was good, even though I waited a little longer than I would have liked for entree. Several big parties seem to have thrown off the expediting in the kitchen.
The atmosphere inside is warm and inviting. The waitresses were ok, not the worst service but not outstanding. The chimichanga was very very good and highly recommended. The MY strip was not as good. I ordered medium rare and received medium well, so that was a little disappointing. The fried plantains are also highly recommended! It happened to be wing night and if you like garlic and crispy wings you must tru the cilantro, garlic, and queso wings. I have never had wings flavored like that before. Overall i think we would go back to give it a second try.
Very "American " Texmex food but tastie and large portions. The crab quesadillas are good. Drinks are strong and good
Very good pulled pork & short rib tacos. Could use 1 more member on their wait staff but service was good, food very tasty & reasonably priced for an overall very enjoyable dinner w drinks.
I’ve been to the Tivoli Santa Fe Restaurant many dozens of times over the past couple of decades. I’ve only been to this location once before and it was years ago. It was 3:20 on a Saturday in February. Walking in there were a few other people already in Santa Fe. We ordered drinks. One beer, Santa Fe margarita, 3G margarita and one Frozen Modelo (a Modelo beer with the classic margarita). The Frozen Medelo looks beautiful and tastes almost as good as it looks. Got to try it if you like beer and tequila. The two margaritas were both delicious. I wish there was a tequila menu on the table to know prices. There is a menu on the website and prices are good. A Milagro Anejo is $10. Most Ajejos are between $10 and $12. Interesting is the $2 charge to make any tequila a Margarita. I wish more places did this to make it easy to pick the tequila you want in your Margarita. Now I wish they carried our favorite tequila; One With Life which is an organic tequila. I got my goto Shrimp Tacos (Grilled Tacos, Camaron) which I loved. I’ve had them before at the other Santa Fe’s and always enjoyed them. Not sure if it was the eight mile rail trail walk we did but they tasted amazing. My wife had Enchilada de San Miguel (stacked corn enchiladas with mushrooms, spinach, onion, fresh tomato, queso fresco, salsa verde & white cheddar cheese). She said it was delicious. We shared an order of guacamole. It was fine but not good enough to order it again. Some of the avocado wasn’t mashed, mostly plain tasting (which some people prefer). No chips or salsa comes with it (the menu didn’t say chips would come with it). So we ordered chips and salsa once the guacamole arrived. The chips, salsa and guac were all small portions for the price. Maybe this changes when avocados are in season. One of my biases is that I want chips and salsa on the table. I would be totally fine with meals costing a dollar or two more. Guac and chips aside, everything was great. Service was excellent, the bartender made perfect drinks and the price was good. I want to go back later in the evening when there are more people there to give it a better vibe. Closes at 9:30 Monday to Saturday and closed on Sunday.
Came in for dinner while staying at the Hotel Dylan. The reviews were good, and so my husband and I were really looking forward to our meal. We were sat quickly and our server came over right away to get us drinks. She suggested chips and salsa, but we instead opted for the guacamole. The guacamole was homemade and bland. It came with giant cucumber wheels, tons of chips and raw spinach at the base. The raw spinach was an odd ingredient and we picked it out along with the giant chunks of raw red onion. For our mains we had the chimichanga and enchilada. Nothing about those were authentic or delicous. The enchilada had no sauce and came with huge chunks of unmelted cheese, and more cucumbers. The fried burrito was not as awful, but that is merely due to the fact that it is deep fried. We were offered homemade hot sauce, which was a blaze of heat with no flavor to talk about. The best thing we ate was the key lime pie. It was yummy, and probably not homemade. The chef shluld be embarrassed to call this Mexican cuisine. We must however say that our server was delightful. She was funny, made us laugh and made a bad meal bearable. And the discount to guests at the hotel was a nice touch, but you would be better off eating somewhere else in my opnion.
The food was ok. I got the beet salad. It was good. However it had way too much dressing on it. I should have asked for dressing on the side. We also ordered calamari. It was good. The wait staff were disorganized and were not very friendly. Not rude, just not personable and friendly. The restaurant staff were dressed in everyday clothes. It was interesting.
If you are looking for good, authentic Mexican food, don't go here! I got a chicken enchilada and it did not even come close. Dry tortillas with some dry chicken inside and no sauce on top. It was inedible. If you are looking for a salad, a good burger and fries then its ok.
Our meal started off with dry, stale tortilla chips and the salsa was nothing to write home about. That set the tone straight away. Our entrees were mediocre. Wait staff was slow. The restaurant was dark inside and we counted three flies hanging out on the ceiling. I'm really unsure of how this restaurant has such raving reviews. Maybe it was an odd off night? 🤷♀️
Margaritas were not tasty, no sweetness at all to it, had to order the syrup separately. Didn’t like the taste of buffalo veg tacos. overall disappointing food and drinks. Service was good, location and atmosphere is also good.
We were charged for chips and salsa. Margaritas were horrible. Short Rib tacos VERY greasey. Salad was excellent. Shrimp tacos had no flavor. Atmosphere at this place is a joke. Try the one in downrown Kingston or the one in Tivoli. Much better 😌
Before we had a chance to look at the menu, the server asked if we would like some chips and salsa. We said yes and were surprised when we were charged for it, as we thought it was a free offer. Not a big deal money wise, but surprised. Food was tasty, atmosphere not so great. We asked to eat outdoors and again were surprised when we were taken to a room with closed glass windows facing parked cars right outside . Not outdoors by any means. Also, not attractive facing the parking lot. Plantings of trees to hide the parking lot would be a big improvement. If you are looking for for a quiet dinner atmosphere, this is not the place as the noise from unruly young children was very loud. The margarita was pretty good.
I've had the beef burrito and the shredded chicken and they are nothing special they dont use cumin and very little cilantro or chili peppers very bland. Also there was a (dog) at the bar both times. Not a service dog.
Ordered a pulled chicken burrito. Without any embellishment, I can honestly say it was the worst burrito I've ever had. Dry, flavorless, and barren. The onions in it were greasy and tasted slightly rancid. Hideously overpriced for what it was, please stay away from this place and don't encourage this type of business to keep operating.
The Margarita had to go back. I asked for salt, so it ended up in the drink. Steak Tacos were made with tortillas that were fried, as if to make Nachos. It appears that cheese was added to the greasy tortillas, then pickled and red onion. Bottom line: Inedible.
I paid 16,95 for the tiniest quesadilla Ive ever seen in my life, I'm not one to complain we come all the time , I emailed them personally they never responded so I'm letting you guys know. I felt robbed I was still hungry I told my surver he didn't really care but it was insanely small and I paid all this money and was still very hungry, honestly feel like the owners could care less. I won't be going back ever again. John and Emely. They need to step it up bunch of yuppies.
Glum atmosphere. Few options for vegetarian. Got the quinoa salad on my first visit, found it to be all lettuce and quinoa and a sprinkle of beans. Second try, ordering out I asked for the same dish (the only vegan option) but asked for double beans instead of quinoa. Brought home and found the beans to be bad!! Smelled horrible and could not eat. Will not return.
I have lived in the Woodstock area for over 40 years. My husband and I order takeout. As always, I requested no jalapeños as I cannot tolerate the spice, but they are always iincluded in spite of my request. . The last 2 times felt deliberate. One order had twice the amount and last time they were chopped and hidden in the cheese melted in my quesadilla. I had to throw mine out. I obviously will not recommend or go to this establishment again. It's sad because I don't know why they have done this.
Ordered for pickup online only to arrive at the restaurant and they were closed. No notice of them being closed at all and their Toast system allowed me to place an order and my card was charged. 24 hours later and still no word from Santa Fe about a refund. Be careful ordering online for pickup, they might just be randomly closed!
