One of Walla walla’s premier restaurants! Every time I go to service is always perfect. The penn cove mussels are one of my hands down favorites. The drink list includes some great local wines, beer and fabulous cocktails. It’s easy to spend an hour savoring the food and drinks!!

Very wonderful, personable and quick staff. Had a really good experience and will come back for sure. Expect higher prices and smaller portions, but very fancy restraunt with great service and amazing food

The Whitehouse Crawford anchors Walla Walla's restaurant scene offerings a great menu, ambiance and unique setting integrated with the Seven Hills Winery. We recently hosted a dinner for 36 with most never having visited Walla Walla before. They all came away with a fantastic meal based on a prefix five entree based menu, pre-dinner wine and Cocktails in the Seven Hills Tasting Room and dinner served in the dedicated space off the main dining room. Very strong recommendation as it is the benchmark for Walla Walla.

What an awesome spot to have dinner. Amazing service great food and a fantastic wine list too. Make reservations so you can be sure to get a seat. If you can sit at the shops table it's fun to watch the talent craft amazing food.

There are really only two places worth my time in WW, Whitehouse and Brasserie, two different venues. Whitehouse quieter, deeper and so, so elegantly exquisite

This restaurant is a gem. It really is a fine dining restaurant in the heart of Walla Walla. The dining room is awesome, they have a nice rustic brick walls combined with open white painted timbers and a window wall showing the winery wine barrels stacked to the ceiling next door. The service was outstanding, my wife and I both had the spinach salad with bacon and smoked salmon, the main course was filet minon with a rich and velvety red wine reduction. I had sautéed veggies in lieu of the mashed potatoes because I am gluten and dairy free. Dinner was absolutely amazing. The filet was cooked to perfection and we finished with a flourless chocolate cake and they offered a coconut milk chocolate ice cream for me (dairy free). Simply amazing dinner. We loved the experience.

I gotta go 5 stars. They make great food and the service is very good. It stands up to the hype, If you want a great experience in a small town that creates globally-good wines, by all means visit the whitehouse. It6s worth the cost. Definitely make reservations ahead of time. Try the pate.

We sat at the bar at W-C on a chilly Friday night towards the end of February. At 8:00 PM the restaurant was close to empty, and the bright, large room, with open kitchen, came across like a soulless airplane hanger. However, in season, the space would be perfect, filled with revelry. The bartenderess was very welcoming, and we enjoyed our drinks and conversation. The food was unique and tasty. My Japanese fried chicken was delicious, accompanied by a mound of thin, crispy, sweet onions. The tandoori chicken tacos and steamed buns were great. Prices were good also. This is a top spot in the burgeoning wine town of Walla Walla.

The food was delicious! This is a must-go-to restaurant in town. The drinks were fantastic, the atmosphere fun and fancy at the same time. We were not hurried, and enjoyed a long evening meal. Every dish was amazing, and the rest of the menu looked fantastic, and made me wish I was going to be in town even longer!

Just go. Best of the best. Fork cut your perfectly cooked tenderloin, select from an array of great local wines (like impossible to find Cayuse). Get served as if you were the only customer that mattered. Table 8 was great. James, server and maitre d' was a perfect host. Don't look elsewhere, it's a waste of your time.

You can't beat the Whitehouse-Crawford for excellent food, attentive service and an impressive list of wines from local wineries. My husband and I came in for a late supper. I had a creamy yet light (and dairy free) harvest vegetable soup and a seasonal salad. At the suggestion of the bartender, Sarah, I ordered a glass of Seven Hills Pinot Gris - a perfect pairing! The b nice cocktail she made for my husband was outstanding!!

Took my wife for our 1st wedding anniversary. This was by far the best restaurant we have gone to. The service was excellent, our waiter was Devin, and the food was superb. We will highly recommend to all our friends and we will definitely be back.

Really a wonderful experience. A thoughtful menu and a smart wine list. This was Cayuse’s release weekend and many wine lovers came to town for it. Whitehouse-Crawford did a wonderful job with excellent food and wines to match. The staff was very helpful, steering us to smart wine choices while telling us about menu favorites. And local winemakers, from one of the most celebrated in the region to a couple emerging makers, celebrated the end of the big wine weekend at Whitehouse-Crawford tonight. A beautiful evening!

Love the food here. It is rich, good- quality and well presented. Although it may be spendy, it is worth your money. The service is great with very friendly waiters. Some of these other reviews are just people being mad that they don't know what good food is. But WhiteHouse Crawford does. Five stars!!!

Gorgeous, historic building for this restaurant, a great vibe inside and the food was excellent! Hosted friends from Argentina (who also own a place in Napa) and the local Blue Valley steaks they served delighted and surprised my international guests. Two of their quotes were "This is the best steak I've had outside of Buenos Aires!" and " this is certainly the best steak I've had in America!" Obviously, the talented chef really knows how to showcase the best local ingredients, which all of us appreciated. The service was spot-on and we enjoyed both the Walla Walla wines and the fortified wine list after dinner. My only regret is that of all the restaurants we have in Portland, there is still not any place like Whitehouse-Crawford! Personally, I can't wait to return!

Top notch, lovely home for our visit to Walla Walla. Well fitted out with everything you could ask for. Charming, clean and tidy. I only wish we could stay longer. We will definitely recommend this rental to friends.

One of the best meals I've ever had and I've eaten at some of the best restaurants across the country. Do try the six-course tasting menu. Each course was divine. I will be back and with friends next time.

Coming here reminded me of how good food can taste. The attention to detail by the kitchen staff is unmatched. A wonderful experience from the first bite to the last.

Fantastic food, sometimes portions can be limited which is a shame when compared to the price being paid but all in all usually forgivable. Yet to have a truly bad experience.

Great food, excellent setting, we have been here several times. Service was slow this time. Normally they have good service.

Wonderful experience. Great food and very good service. My favorite part was the old warehouse floors! Beauty in the history of the floors.

Delightful each time. Make reservations, but walk-ins okay at the bar if space permits. We had the hamburger this time plus spinach salad with smoke trout. Yum. Superb wine list and good cocktails.

Food is pretty good, markup on the wine isn’t terrible. The selection on the wine list is pretty good, nice selection of different varietals and Washington wines. Very fancy place, drinks came a little slow when we were there and that was at 8pm when the restaurant didn’t seem as full. $3 for a piece of bread... seems a little much. If you are looking for a nice date night for a special occasion this might be the place. Not sure if I will return but possibly.

I really enjoyed the ambiance. I didn’t like my scallops but everything else was GREAT! Will be back!

We had to wait a while for our food; however, it was fantastic. Not so bad waiting when you have good company and delicious drinks!

Excellent service, good food, lovely music, interesting space (high ceilings, brick walls, open kitchen) all around great atmosphere.

Decent price point, quality food but very small portions. Friendly and knowledgeable staff and a very nice building

When you first walk in its much bigger than you anticipate and the Ambiance is different than you expect it's beautiful. The host was very nice satta immediately. Service was good I feel like she could have been a little quicker on refills but other than that she was great. The food was phenomenal. If you're looking for somewhere quiet quaint and a little different with great food this is the place to go. The only thing I feel they lack in is local spirits I have not had anyone call me back and I have have customers asked me if my product was going to be there. Other than that that's the only reason I'm giving for stars.

R

Excellent service and very personable staff. Cocktails and wine were delish. I had the fried chicken which was cooked perfectly. All and all I recommend this place for dinner!

Attentive service and good food. Good atmosphere; rustic and spacious. Great for groups as well as 1:1. Nice way to finish off a day of winery touring

T

Food is good but the portions could have be slightly bigger for the price. atmosphere is a little on the heavy side (snobby) and is not for everybody.

Make reservations! So this place easily gets 3* just for the food. It was delicious. Unfortunately the service was terrible. Our server was very uninterested in helping us. The kitchen was also VERY slow. This was already an 8pm reservation we had and the place was closing at 9. There was a lot of wait staff walking around, so I do not suspect it was an issue of being short staffed. Of our party of 8, I was easily the least annoyed by the experience. Took an hour from the time we ordered to get our salads/soups. Again, food is great (got Japanese fried chicken). Odds are anyone going would get a much better server than we did, on a night where people seem more interested in helping.

Danute Slapsys

The food was spectacular. Service; cold scripted and choreographed. General feeling; they were doing us a favor by accepting a late night reservation. Musical ambiance of Motown would’ve been fitting of a lunch diner. Price point was “decent”. Would I return? Most probably.

Amazing cocktails. My steak was cooked with precision, and all accompaniments were tasty. Companion one was pleased as well, but companion two's tuna was simply an old piece of fish. She had it rare, and it was the fishiest rare tuna I have ever tasted, comparable to bluefish or mackerel. The only thing that does that is age, that I know of. She wouldn't send it back despite our urging.

Boar was flavorless. High prices not justified

We had dinner there last night. Very pretentious and stuffy. They were out of two wine selections waiter recommended and two of the 3 ports on menu at desert time. Very slow service even the tables were not full. Food was, very good. Extremely poor value.

Our friends took us there, they had been to this restaurant several times and thought I'd was one of the best in Walla Walla. We arrived at 7pm, and began with a waiter with an attitude. When he came for our order my wife had questions about one of the dishes, so he said that it looked like we needed more time and left. He finally returned and took our orders. Three of us ordered the spinach salad, a house specialty. When we were finally served - around 9pm - the salads were absolutely drenched in an overpowering mustard vinegarette dressing, with no bacon as listed on the menu. It was basically soggy and inedible, so we complained to the waiter and he said he would take the salads off the bill. He did not offer to replace the salad with another menu item. Fortunately, he did relate our displeasure to James, the restaurant manager, who immediately came over to apologise and make things right. James served us a complimentary three course dessert, and was back several times to make sure that we felt better about our experience. All in all, I would still not recommend this establishment based on the quality of service and food we experienced on this visit, but certainly give James high marks for his response and attentiveness to try to mitigate a bad situation.

I was less than impressed with this restaurant. We ordered the Bruschetta and got two very small pieces that were disappointing. Wife's entrée was the Braised Pork , VERY small portion served with the pork and noodles separate (not cooked together) and tasteless, beyond bland. Limited menu so I ordered the Grass fed beef burger med. rare. I received a well done once again tasteless burger that I would be embarrassed to serve. Wine was good, I owned a restaurant for 13 years in a tourist town and would not have been proud of the meals we received. Sometimes reputations exceed value and quality.

I chose and reserved this place for a small gathering for a gathering of family who came from WI, MN, AZ and WA to celebrate the dear loss of a wife, cousin and friend. I tried to buy something, a metal ball tooth pick, a glass, anything of a memorabilia from our dinner and was declined. Felt like an amazing lack of empathy. Will never return. Paid $214 dinner for two. There were seven of us....$700.00 plus for the table of 7 plus they added 20% for a tip on each bill. Sad way to end the evening...

terrible service, terrible ventilation we all smelled like fried food when we left:( we went there for a 60th birthday there were like 10 of us and it took almost 3 hours to get our food maybe 4 the staff was snappy and impatient anyway that’s my opinion this was in july of 2019 hopefully they have improved.

H
Harmony Liu

The food is mediocre considering the price. The service was quite slow at the end. We waited a long time after finishing our desert. Our waitress actively avoided eye contact with us. We have to ask another waitress to get our bill
