Great little donut shop, and one of a very where you can get a good cup of coffee at any time night or day.

Really best donuts around, so fresh and gooey, just how I like them. This place is a problem, because every time I pass this intersection I think about stopping to get a donut, and I pass every day, so it's a daily struggle 😂

The Matcha Mochi Donut & their Breakfast Croissant is a must, they begin serving their breakfast items after 5 a.m. from personal experience. - @eatingwithricardo

My wife and I love to get our ham and cheese from this donut shop. They honestly have one of the best tasting croissants, they are also almost always fresh. Their mochi donuts are also really delicious, but my favorite has to be the blueberry doughnut. I haven't been able to find a blueberry donut like the one here anywhere else. It has an amazing crunchy outer layer that just explodes in your mouth.

This place has been a neighborhood establishment for so long. It's become a right of passage to try the Ham and Cheese Croissant, which never fails to delight. Their variety of offerings is just right and the people are nice and efficient. For COVID guidelines, their entrance and exit, one-way flow of traffic are clearly marked, and social distancing, face covering requirements are followed.

I love this place. The donut holes I bought were so sweet and chewy! They were a bit expensive but it was worth it! I recommend this place. So you guys should check this place out!

I've come here occasionally over the past several years and felt it was time to finally give a review. I always love the donuts here. Aside from the donuts, the owner is always so friendly. I cannot think of one negative thing to say about this place.

My family and I are making it a routine morning stop here at the Donut Tree. My children love the donuts, my husband and I love love love the Jalapeño Ham & Cheese Croissant (the ham is amazing) and we love the coffee. The Donut Tree is very welcoming. We love the staff, this is a very diverse donut shop, sitting inside you see many different people coming and going. Family Favorites: Jalapeño Ham & Cheese Croissant, Blueberry doughnut, coffee, Breakfast Bagel Sandwich.

As long as I can remember (been living in Walnut on and off since 1977), the Donut Tree has been consistently making great donuts at a reasonable price. My dad loves the apple fritters and my wife used to love the sugar twists (until she tuned anti-refined-sugar). My favorite is their bear claws (when I'm feeling rich), but most of the time I buy chocolate or maple bars or sprinkled donuts (to remind myself the kid in me is still alive). If you're getting gas in the morning, why not get a donut while you wait? Their hot cocoa is good too.

This place is so well-run and their donuts are very well-made. I usually just get the glazed because you can't beat a classic. My husband loves their old-fashioned. The couple who runs this, we mostly deal with the woman, is very nice. We love coming here.

...Walnut's unofficial city hall. If you live in the city, this is the spot to meet! You always run into people you haven't seen in a while. Donuts are good, and the family is even better. Full disclosure, I may be a bit biased, but I've lived in town for over 30 years, and this has been my spot. I took my kids here when they were young, I've taken my kid's kids here for a treat before school, and I've even brought my pup in for some forbidden donut hole treats. I like walking into a spot, like it's my very own Cheers, and I'm Norm.

The donuts are incredibly fresh, soft, and delicious, with a wide variety of flavors that are sure to please everyone. You can really taste the quality in every bite. I’ll definitely be coming back and recommending this gem to friends and family. If you haven’t been yet, you’re missing out!

Was in thw area and stopped in to get some donuts. Owner was there and was very friendly, we ordered a dozen and she Gabe my daughter an extra donut. These donuts are delicious.

j

donuts are $1 each, a dozen is $9. blueberry donuts are definitely worth getting, as are the fritters. the blueberry is sweet, and is infused with blueberry, so good. the parking is pretty easy as it's in a huge plaza.

One of the best donut shops in the Walnut, CA area. They always have a great selection of yummy donuts and hot coffee. The owners are very nice and always seem to sneak into your order an extra surprise or a few donut holes. Seems like there are always a few older gentlemen hanging around enjoying the food and coffee. All their donuts are fresh , tasty and delicious.

A

This is where I first discovered the hidden gem donut shop breakfast sandwiches. Their croissant breakfast sandwich is delicious and huge, easily can be shared between two people. The donuts on the other hand are a hit and a miss. Some things I've had from here are just ok others are amazing. Nothing is really bad, but nothing really stands out either. However along the same line as the breakfast sandwich they have the absolute best croissants I have ever tasted.

C
Chris Orona

This donut shop has fresh donuts daily, like any other shop should. The difference is this shop doesn't let their donuts taste soggy, old, oily or stale. They taste fresh and great! There is a decent selection of typical donuts: maple bars, twists, plain donuts, buttermilk & glazed buttermilk. The only 1 star loss comes from the old aesthetic and feel of this shop. The ovens , counters and displays are very old and fading. Definitely, do not judge this book by its cover. Try it out as they even have some breakfast sandwiches, but did not try them.

C

Started going here for donuts instead of the chain places once I moved here 6 years ago. Good quality donuts, I like their apple fritters especially. Good, friendly service. A great little local business.

Owner very conscious about proper customer courtesy and safe food handling especially in ham croissants.

Their donuts are ok not the best but ok. Service is nothing special. I have been going here for years because its close to my house and they NEVER say good morning. Just NEXT.

Old man is a grouch. Said everything was fresh. Just threw away half my stale chocolate twist donut.

No idea where all the great reviews are coming from. I am a huge fan of random donut shops and avoid the big chains as much as possible (they honestly rarely compare to local shops). Found this place and was excited but was quickly disappointed. These are very basic donuts yet a dozen is twenty dollars. I had a basic chocolate donut and coffee. The donut was on the small side. The bread was fluffy and tasted good... however I've had better for less. The chocolate itself was slightly on the too sweet (or artificial sweet?) side. All in all a 6-7/10 donut. The coffee was the expected pot coffee in a Styrofoam cup with a lid that won't stay on. They do not have a little coffee station like most shops where you can add sugar and cream yourself- the cashier pours the creamer. For their price this place is not worth it.

🍩 Donut Tree: A Bitter Taste in Lemon Creek Village 🍋 ⚠️ Mt. SAC Students, Proceed with Caution ⚠️ As a former Mt. San Antonio College student, I expected better from a local business. My recent visit to Donut Tree left me with a sour taste that had nothing to do with their lemon-filled pastries. The Not-So-Sweet Experience: - 💳 Payment Hiccup: When my Apple Pay glitched, I offered to get cash. The response? Let's just say it wasn't exactly "service with a smile." - 👮 Overreaction: Threatening to call the sheriff over a minor payment issue? Talk about glazed and confused. - 🕰️ Early Bird Special: This all went down during the wee hours. Nothing like a side of drama with your morning coffee. Silver Lining: - 🏧 ATM to the rescue: Thankfully, I had my card and could make the purchase. - 🤔 Food for Thought: The quiet corner where I sat became an unexpected spot for reflection. Bottom Line: Students, your meal plan might be a safer bet. If you do venture here, maybe bring cash... and a thick skin. Remember, even the sourest experiences can lead to sweet reflections. Just maybe not the kind you'd expect from a donut shop. 2/5 stars - Might be better off with a vending machine breakfast!

I called because I was looking for my netspend card and this location was the last place I went to. Anyway I called and an Asian lady answered the phone and after I asked if anyone seen a netspend prepaid card she quickly answered no without placing me on hold and looking she just quickly said no and said I dialed the wrong number. Donut Tree has been around for as long as I can remember. I go here every so often and the donuts and other food are usually good. Last year, I saw on the local Facebook page that they had merch! Black and white shirts available. We had first asked in January 2024, for a small black shirt and a medium white shirt. The lady told us to come back next month. So first week of February we came back and asked, she told us they don't have it right now but to come back next week. So we came back the second week of February and guess what. She said if we could come back next week. So for a while we called every couple weeks to see if they had any before we came but it was always the same answer. We visited in May, she asked if we could come back tomorrow, we called instead and they didn't have it. I thought we'd give them a couple months. Visited in October 2024, did not have it. Visited in November 2024, asked if we could come back the next day. This whole experience had turned me off to ever coming back unfortunately. That and during the last visit, the ham and cheese croissant we ordered did not have any cheese! AND it was cold! The donut was also stale, not what I expected during a Sunday morning. I love supporting mom and pop small businesses, but I'm beginning to feel like they told us to "come back" in a ploy to just get us to make more purchases. Consumers shouldn't be decieved. If you don't make them anymore, just tell us. Was really looking forward to representing Donut Tree merch, but not anymore...

L

Overpriced donuts! I never thought of buying a dozen donuts for $20 & to top it off with a lot of grease. I wouldn't mind paying that price, but only if they are worth it & good donuts @ this shop they are not. The locals might love it but it's only cause there's not many donut shops around this area, so they are stuck just buying from this shop.

****If you use credit card, they charge you 3.99% no matter what amount you spend.**** **Shady: They do tell you the amount of the things you bought. HOWEVER, when you pay credit card, they don't even tell you or say the amount and when you go pay using credit card, they'll press a few things on the credit card pad. If you're not paying attention, which most people don't, you'll up charge without knowing if you don't read the fine print on their cashiers register. However too the fine print is so small for customers to truly see it without really leaning in and squinting with your eyes.*** ****pay cash if you can to avoid the 3.99% credit card charge**** I asked why they're charging, he told me it's cuz the credit card machine charged customers. In my head I said yeah right, I see you put in the numbers for it to be charged that amount. I think they're just trying to avoid themselves having to pay the fee. I think the right thing for them to do is to tell all customers that there's a charge fee and actually tell them how much customers end up paying. I don't get why they tell customers the cost in total, but when credit card is scanned, it's silence, no mention of anything. ********************************* Besides that, they sell donuts, muffins, sodas, milk, and chocolate milk, etc. It's open 24 hours.

Mochinut not up to par I was excited when I saw their banner of Mochinut available here in Walnut! After tasting it, I’m disappointed. Other than that it is named as mochinut, it tasted like a regular donut. It’s small and definitely not worth $2.50 or returning. Another reviewer thinks only Asian are welcome here, that is not true. I’m Asian, I didn’t feel welcome here either. The person behind the counter just gave me a blank stare with a straight face while waiting for my order. She Took my money and gave me the change, never said a word. So no Hi or Thank you - same treatment to me Asian.

Don’t come here. Find another donut place. They charge extra 3.99% for just using credit card without your knowledge or tell you that they there’s a service charge for it. I've been a walnut resident for years and always loved making my treat occasionally to the Donut Tree. But no more. I went in at around 9:20 am to get a breakfast bagel sandwich made. The two girls were talking spanish and one toward me and I asked if I could get a breakfast bagel sandwich made. She told me Yes. So im waiting and waiting to see when she would start preparing the sandwich and she was still talking to the other girl in spanish. The other girl was wipping down some pans and then another customer came on and the first girl who told me I could get a sandwich starts to help the new customer. The other girl looks to me and says to the other girl in spanish. Didyou help him? The other girl says someone else will have to make it. Thats when I just walked out. Sorry Donut Tree.
