Curry House Wantagh Reviews
Love the food and service is just amazing, second to none. Noman is my got to man, his service to his customers and dedication to his food is just phenomenal. He puts a lot of love into what he cooks and cares for the customers feedback. Keep going buddy! You rocking this spot. The best part is he makes the food at the premises, food comes out fresh each time, and tailors to any Allergy concerns for specific people.
This local Indian gem has been a consistent hit for me and my family for years !! Food is amazing and never disappoints! Literally everything is made from scratch you can tell and I've been to plenty of Indian restaurants and I'm telling you this is some of the best and when it comes to service 5 star! I can't say enough about this place must try! The sit down portion of the place is rather small I have dined in but I do mostly takeout.
As a middle schooler who loves to try new foods this place is AWSOME! Their garlic nan is so good with any type of sauce. I got the curry chicken and it was delicious and light on the stomach. I saw everyone else’s reviews saying that the food wasn’t good but mine was delicious. I was nervous to order there at first but when I at the food I was so happy and my stomach didn’t hurt for once after getting heavy cream sauces. Definitely will come here again!
I am a Doordash delivery driver and I picked up food the other night and I could not get over how good it smelled. I decided to try what my customer ordered which was the vindaloo (I got lamb). This is SPICY but honestly one of the top ten meals I’ve ever had. The lamb was so tender and the sauce was so flavorful and warm. It also came with this delicious white sauce that is similar to tzatziki sauce and it went so well with the spiciness of the vindaloo. I also got the meat samosa and it was SO CRISPY; even after the 15 minute or so drive for delivery. It was flavorful and light as well for a fried food. The naan was perfectly cooked as well and soaked up all of the vindaloo juices. Will definitely be coming back and cannot wait to try the whole menu!
I’ve been going Lazzat for years at the old location and I am loving the new location! The decoration gives the perfect touch and the food has improved so much. Please eat a samosa, they’re delicious! The waitress was extremely hospitable, and it was a lovely experience. We enjoyed ourselves and left with a full belly!
I have loved this restaurant for years and have been a loyal customer. I went abroad for the last year for study and was excited to return to this restaurant as it was a hometown favorite and am sad to write that it has gone tremendously down hill. My chicken tikka masala tonight was watery and looked sort of grey, a far cry from the thick orange/red sauce I expected from Lazzat! I have gotten Lazzat delivered many many times in the past and can confidently say this quality issue was not due to delivery (steaming in container etc. during a lengthy drive) but simply that the food lacked flavor to begin with. I hope they can turn things around because this restaurant used to be amazing. Hate having to write this - I wish no ill will upon the restaurant and wish them nothing but the best but I can’t hold my tongue when the quality has suffered this much.
I ordered chicken karahi, vegetable vindaloo, 3 Garlic Nan, and a mango lassi, which cost $52. I have eaten at over a hundred Indian restaurants all over the USA, but unfortunately, the food at this restaurant was the worst I've ever had, except for the mango lassi. I chose this restaurant based on its four-star reviews, but the food turned out to be inedible, and I had to discard it. I hope the restaurant focuses more on improving the quality. I definitely will not be returning there. I'm posting this to warn others about the food quality. This is solely my personal experience, and I believe people should be aware. Thank you.
We order small tray boneless chicken biryani today. Worst biryani with no masala, burned chicken cubes not even proper salt. It was like you eating colored basmati rice. I spoke to new owner and made him aware of the poor quality food. I just throw away 50 dollars on it . Chicken kebab were good. I hope owners make necessary change to make quality food.
I ordered on Uber Eats but my food came ice cold, with the oil congealing on top which takes a long time to happen. It also smelt off as of it has been unrefrigerated for quite some time. I believe I was given Yesterdays Samosa Chaat with yogurt poured on top. My husband was given the wrong dish altogether. The naan was cold and hard. We used to love this place. In fact, there is a five star review on this restaurant somewhere from me. After tonight I can’t imagine ever going back the food quality issues alone. I feel like I would have become ill if I had eaten the Samosa chaat.
Horrible-Unfortunately we will never support Lazzat again. This actually used to be our go-to for Indian food and Samosas but everything we ordered was terrible this time. The 7 very tough (overcooked) Shrimp in this $18 dish also had onion skin in the dish. (Complete rip off for such a sad and distasteful meal) The samosas were all over cooked/burnt and bland with no flavor which is not at all how they used to be. (Both the meat and vegetable ones) Such a waste of over $40. Don't waste your money here!!
