Superb. Ribs and Chicken entrees moist, beautifully spiced, and in a word, delectable. Nice choice of cocktails and draft beers. What's not to like?! ;)
Excellent brunch items and fair prices. I've been a few times and tried different items each time. I've always left happy.
The food and drinks are great but we keep going back for the staff and the excellent customer service. The environment is a neighborhood bar and restaurant.
Went here because of the positive reviews. Not disappointed. Burgers are awesome. Wife loved the blackened chicken wrap. Service awesome. Thanks!
Food was great. Loved the apple ricotta pancakes! I went there specifically for them and they didn't disappoint.
Great food, great wine. I would definitely recommend getting the flatbreads. They're awesome.
Great vibe. Solid service and food/drinks. Excellent place for a group meetup or date
Great food and beer. Cool decor, and best quiet bar. No TV
Really enjoyed the first visit here. The meals are very well prepared.
Food is fantastic. Bartenders and staff are great.
Amazing food & atmosphere and hospitable service!
Beautiful place with great food and cocktails.
oh my god the duck will change your life. stellar service, good vibes.
Best "New American" restaurant in DC. Period.
Great place for cocktails on H Street.
excellent cocktails, snacks, and beer list
So much fun
Good drinks
My wife loves interior and has a real eye for what looks good and goes together (I do not have this skill). My wife says this restaurant looks the BEST out of any restaurant we have been to in DC. Even with my unskilled eye, I would agree. It is very open and a great theme going on inside (just don't ask me what that theme is- ha!). The food was good! We had two cocktails and, although small, they were excellent. The fries were good and the meat & cheese amazing. The service was quick and friendly and on it. I recommend you go here at least once. Props to Boundary Road!
Loved the cocktails at this bar! I've never had a cocktail I didn't like. The food was good too. The bar is super cool, lots of exposed bricks. Had the Foie gras there which was amazing! It's a small place, but not super rowdy, so you can definitely have a drink and a conversation without shooting. I love coming here to catch up with friends and have a drink.
Boundary Road is my spot. I live nearby and it's the perfect restaurant and bar to have in the neighborhood. The menu changes, and I've yet to find a dish I dislike. (I once went back almost ten times in a month, bringing various friends along, because their monthly specials were so fantastic, and I wanted to share the love). The drinks also change and they are always on point (the cocktails are unique, strong, and tasty). They host neat events, and the staff is amazing. We are seen pretty regularly here, and find ourselves back at Boundary Road for both date nights and also to celebrate moments - we ended our engagement party here, I started my bachelorette party here, I celebrated passing the Bar exam here, we've celebrated many birthdays and going aways and other fun nights here. They also have an amazing late night menu. The late night special is a shot of rye and a Natty Boh, and their late night food hits the spot every time.
Great food, creatively prepared. Great combinations of unique flavors. Donuts with lemon curd are lighter than air and with having the curd on the side each of us could add the amount we wanted!
I came in last night for a quick bite. They were still serving food past 10pm which made my evening much easier. After scanning the menu I saw pierogis. I hadn't had a pierogi in awhile so I ordered a plate of them. The appetizer pierogi is $10 and the entree is $16. The entire came with about 10 or so pierogis. The sauce was fantastic on them. I ordered a port city optimal wit which was light and refreshing. The staff was really nice and helpful. I will defiantly come back to try out the rest of their fantastic menu.
Went with wife and father and loved the exposed brick, quality beer list, and excellent food. High quality ingredients and a concise menu meant a fresh, wonderful meal. Will go back.
Best bar restaurant on this block. Friendly service. No televisions, yea!!! [Update 2014 Jan] Try the buffalo short ribs, yum! Staff is friendly and helpful.
Great food, great atmosphere, and great service. The menu is not particularly extensive, but it's all delicious and the beer and wine list IS extensive.
Was a little bummed about the lack of food options during the happy hour but still like the place. Great atmosphere and lots of good cocktails and beers.
Great food! Limited menu but what they do have is fantastic. The staff is very attentive and friendly
Decent late night menu and knowledgeable staff in a smartly decorated bar. A fun spot for a drink and bite.
I like this place great drinks and the staff helped me get a hotel close to train station. I love this place !!!
Cool menu. Solid brunch. Approved.
On the pricey side, but our go to for special occasions.
Had a good Manhattan
Excellent food and drink selection on a well-planned and uncluttered menu. Cool space, if a little sparsely decorated. Had a nice upscale feel without being pretentious. Staff was friendly. I would return.
Thoughtful spirits selection. Brunch is lovely -- try the hash (Gentleman Takes a Chance) on top of a pancake. They've got many vegetarian, gluten-free, and dairy-free options, and many dishes can be adjusted to fit special diets. Easy access to transit, and decent parking during brunch hours on neighborhood streets.
The place was very loud on a busy night. The server was ok, but forgot to mention any specials and forgot one of our drink orders. The food was good. I had the chicken, it was delicious. Overall good.
Came here with a group for a Sunday brunch. The interior is lovely and nicely decorated. The food was ok; I wasn't impressed. The staff was friendly!
Craft beers, meat boards, etc. You know the deal. The cheesesteak sandwich and fries were edible. The smoked sausage sandwich was round meat on a flat bun with too much mustard.
A bit pricy for rather bland dinner, but it's a beautiful space. Just opened so maybe still adjusting the menu.
Another bar on a street with many bars. Nothing seems to particularly distinguish this one from all the others. But it's fine.
Funky menu which has pluses and minuses, lacks core menu and veg options, some portions skimpy, super service !!
While the decor is definitely hip and industrial, the food did not live up to the pricing. The waiter seemed bemused by our requests for bread and then some parmesan. He disappeared for awhile. He then just seemed confused when we asked for the check.
I dont ussually take my time to write reviews about restaurants but I think this one deserves my time. we are working along H street in construction, after work we wanted to go out get some drinks and we enter this place. as soon as we walk in we were looked at differently by the staff (all white patrons suit and tie). as we try to be friendly with the bartender (who look like paquiao and we thought it would be a complement if we told him) wrong move!. we knew were the only hispanics or blacks in the restaurant other than the kitchen staff but since we live in the 21st century i did not think it matters. after a few drinks we were asked to leave by the General manager who was clearly anoyed by our presence in the restaurant. my friends had told me about H street and the gentrification and the classim going on but i never experience by my self. this restaurant show me how brutal people can be when you dont look like the people they want to serve. sad. I own a construction company who does a lot of work on H street NE since the beggining of the reconstruction of H street and I have seen how it has change for good and the progress the city has experience but unfortunally it has only benefit those of certain color and economic status. very sad. by the way my company installed the water and sewer for this building...lol. we can work at the building but not drink in it. LOL'
