Definitely enjoyable! Went here October 6, during the Chris Brown concert. At first it was iffy as we were sat but not attended to. I went up to the hostess stand to address it and possibly move. Two servers were up there talking and the hostess was on the phone handling a customer. Stood there patiently then one of the servers asked me if I needed something. I explained then he informed me that’s what they were discussing and give them a moment. I didn’t quite care for this interjection as I wasn’t needing him nor did he even resolve the issue. The hostess got us together right as she got off the phone. Anyway, we got moved and attended by Evan. Evan has got to be one of the best servers I’ve had in such a long time. The food was great and Evan’s recommendations were fantastic. I had just got the old bay wings. I’d go back in a heart beat for those. I do wish they offered fries and possibly changed up the menu. I’ve been here multiple times and after a while you kind of want to see new items. I’d say the prices are reasonable. On top of the wings, I ended up getting a martini and two (generous) pours of the Cabernet. Drinks were great all around.
Darryl provides an environment that was amazing. He ensured our brunch was perfect during every course (especially letting the mimosas flow). My girlfriend and I have agreed this will be our brunch spot for the remaining time we have left in Washington DC. Ask for Darryl because he makes this whole experience awesome.
Chloe was amazing and totally responsive. Appreciated her recommendations and absolutely enjoyed my brunch overlooking the Nationals stadium.
I sat at the bar, and Darryl was very kind, explaining that this establishment had a different menu from downstairs. I enjoyed the excellent meal and a drink. Daryl is truly the ambassador of Silver Diner. Darryl has excellent customer service.
Silver Social is a great place to grab food & drinks after watching a game at Nationals Park ! The vibe on the roof deck is great with picturesque views of the stadium. The lemon drops were great and a special game day price of 7$ you can’t beat. The grilled shrimp flatbread was prepared freshly and great flavor. Overall our service was great with a very attentive waiter. Go Nats !
Carlton was bomb . com. Very kind and attentive. Made sure the party was taken care of care of. Would love to have him as a server again.
Food is wonderful and the bartenders were very kind! We were a group of 6 on the weekend and had a great time, the balcony space is wonderful. The tater tot latkes were definitely a menu highlight, we just kept ordering more. Solid place for a good boozy brunch and the vibes are very cute.
I just hit up the Silver Social with friends. Anna was behind the bar and, when I tell you she nailed every drink…she nailed EVERY drink!! If you’re looking for a legit chill spot where the drinks are as good as the service, Anna at Silver Social got you covered.
I went solo on a Sunday morning and was pleased once again. I really enjoy hanging out in the Navy yard neighborhood. Silver social offers a nice vibe, with great service and atmosphere. I did the full service brunch menu. My server Eduardo was attentive & I felt the staff overall was very professional & kind. I’ll definitely be back.
Very Deco Vibe. Loved it. Yummy food! Bigger than expected and drinks stronger than expected as well! Definitely recommend 10/10
If you’re ever here ask for Ana! Ana you were great, thank you so much for your kind service. You took the time to talk with us and you were so patient. Food was amazing as always.
We went for a retirement gathering and the service was excellent and the food was delicious. Great place for drinks with a good happy hour. There is rooftop patio as well. Located right outside NATS Park. I would highly recommend.
The drinks 🎯🎯🎯 The chimmicurri wings 🔥🔥🔥 The getaway should be your first drink seriously and the mojito to follow up will definitely be coming back...
Came here for the latest Yelp Elite event. The hosts of Silver Social were phenomenal with a thorough description of everything we ate. Servers were phenomenal. Food was amazing. And the drinks were just right! The standouts were definitely the Crispy Smashed Potatoes, the Tuna Tartare, and the Scallops Risotto. However, the biggest MVP of the night easily goes to Pimm's in the City-- a bourbon based drink with a refreshing mix of cucumber and lemon mixed in. I would come back to Silver Social for the risotto or bourbon drink alone! The pictures really speak for themselves, the food was presented beautifully and it was obvious the staff and kitchen were excited to have us. The night was perfect with a small breeze but plenty of heaters on the patio to keep us warm. I will definitely come back to this location and give them their hard earned money!
Me and my friends went for happy hour! Nice selection of cocktails and beers. We all shared the following dishes: pimento cheese, margarita pizza and chimchurri wings. All were delicious! And the bartender even gave us a drink on the house :). Will definitely come back again!
Had a great time in the bar area during happy hour! Service was wonderful. Food was delicious and quick. Atmosphere was very cute and good vibes. Will def be back! Update to say second time visiting this spot a few months later and it’s still so amazing! The staff is so so kind and helped us get the game we wanted to watch on the TV. Food was delicious. Bartender and managers were amazing! Really love this place. Also - get the street corn appetizer, you won’t regret it.
This new spot in DC is a must try! Located in the Navy Yard right across from the Nationals Stadium. This place is the vibe for happy hour, date night, or just a simple bite before watching the game! Food was delicious the customer serve was phenomenal. Shout out to our hostess Bianca and Manager Brian. My friends and I really enjoy our time here. We enjoy everything from food, drinks, entertainment and the service.
So I recently wrote a review about this restaurant an as stated me an my girlfriend went back for another visit for dinner. Everything was so perfect just like the previous times we had visited. It was so great to see the staff again an to see how happy they were to see us come back to dine with them again. This place is now our home away from home when we need great upscale comfort food. Please continue to keep up the great work!
Visited with friends for drinks and a few appetizers on a Wednesday night. As you may know, Silver Social is right upstairs above Silver Diner. there are plenty of seating options and a nice bar. Perfect for a gathering with friends or a light date night especially during the week. The bartender was wonderful and gave us great service. We had the creekstone farms sliders and the chimichurri chicken wings. The sliders were definitely but maybe a little pricey for two. The wings though?!!? Sooooooo goood. Get them and don't look back. Also ask to get them fried extra crispy. You won't be disappointment. I never knew I needed chimichurri on my wings but trust me we all do. So good. The drinks were pretty good. Really enjoyed the old fashion cherry cigar (video below) and Smokey getaway (yellow drink below) was tasty. I will definitely be back and highly recommend.
Absolutely beautiful atmosphère! Food is amazing. Service top notch! The old fashion cherry cigar drink is a must have and is smoke and fired at the table. Its more than à delicious drink, its a mémorable experience! LOVE LOVE LOVE this place!

I think every Silver Diner needs a Silver Social!!!! This place was such a wonderful experience! The ambiance was lovely: the bar tops, ample bar seating, outdoor seating, and views into the baseball stadium. The food was really good! I forgot to take pictures of the wings because those got devoured!!! Pictured is the short rib (which had amazing flavors) and the surf and turf (a nice filling blend of protein and veggies). I can appreciate menu options that aren't carb heavy.
Great spot to come for food, all the dishes we ordered were on point. They had interesting flavors and no two dishes tasted the same. Cocktails were delicious and the service was amazing.
Carlton needs a raise ASAP. He was amazing. If u dont give him a raise im not coming back!
Our server Sydney was amazing. She was super accommodating and friendly. Basically dope. We loved her and the atmosphere and food was good too.
The food here is excellent for brunch. Darryl is an excellent and fun bartender with great recommendations on the menue. I like the 3 course brunch. The tuna tar tar, Cuban Benedict and pistachio mousse are my go to's!
Had an excellent experience all around! The patio is ACTUALLY heated. Was warmer than the inside. And our server Jayla was at our table checking in and bringing drinks every 20 minutes it seems. Wonderful!
We had brunch at Silver Social in the Navy Yard. The waitress, Sydney, did an excellent job in explaining to us the brunch menu and the food and drinks were given to us promptly. The vibes were fine. Food and drinks were good too!
I knew nothing about this restaurant and walked into the DC location at the baseball stadium. My host was great and my server, Dylan, was informative and I ordered based off his recommendation. The food was delicious. I included my visit into my own youtube video "A Tour of DC". Check it out. @G-1woolley
The service was just as impressive. Our waiter, Darrell, was fantastic from start to finish. He was attentive without being intrusive, knowledgeable about the menu, and genuinely friendly. His timing, recommendations, and overall care elevated the entire meal.
DARRYL was AMAZING! The service made all the difference. He was patient, gave great food recommendations and was timely with each food course. Food was tasty and well-seasoned. Made my birthday celebration great :-)
I visited Silver Social with a friend, and it was an incredible experience. The atmosphere strikes a perfect balance between lively and elegant—ideal for adults looking to enjoy good drinks and conversation. The staff was highly professional and attentive, making us feel well taken care of throughout the evening. The highlight was the stunning view of Nationals Park, which gave the whole night an unforgettable backdrop. Beautiful setting, excellent service, and a spot I would recommend to anyone looking for a memorable night out.
My friends and I were invited to Silver Social to celebrate a birthday, and we truly enjoyed ourselves. Jenny and Brian were fantastic. I ordered a mocktail, a Mocking Mule, which was delicious. Later in the night, someone at our table ordered lemon drop shots, and when they arrived, Brian asked if I wanted a mocktail version! Paying attention to details. Great food and even better service.
Darryl was such an amazing server. He made sure we were fully taken care of, and had amazing suggestions for food and drinks. 10/10 recommend and would def return!
Darryl was an amazing server. We sat in the bar area, and even while juggling both the bar and the tables during brunch, he was incredibly attentive and informative. The rest of the staff was wonderful as well!
Carlton was outstanding! We can for brunch, be gave us food suggestions and made sure we had a great time. Also he helped my sister with her gluten allergy and was super supportive Imari was a spectator hostess! She got us at an accommodating seat for my heat bone injury, say us fast and had sure we made it in time for bottomless brunch. She also helped support Carton during a just time. Love it here!
Carton was absolutely amazing! He was very kind, friendly, and welcoming. As someone with a severe gluten allergy, he was super accommodating and made dining easy. Imari was a super welcoming hostess and very helpful in choosing allergy friendly options. The 2 were incredibly attentive and I appreciate their candor
Had a great experience as a first timer! The drinks were not watered down and Darryl was a very attentive and responsive server. They may want to consider moving to a cream base (rather than tomato) for the shrimp and grits - but other than that it was a great experience. Will definitely return!
UZMAN was perfect man. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth and genuine hospitality. Our host went above and beyond to make sure every detail was perfect — attentive, friendly, and professional throughout. The restaurant itself had a wonderful atmosphere, and the food was exceptional — every dish was beautifully presented and full of flavor. It’s rare to find a place where both the service and cuisine are equally impressive, but this restaurant truly delivered on all fronts. Highly recommend for anyone looking for an unforgettable dining experience! The bottomless drinks were amazing!
Had a great experience at Silver Social in Navy Yard, especially at the Social Hour. Daryl was an amazing bartender—friendly, attentive, and clearly knows his craft. His espresso martini was excellent, easily one of the best I’ve had. He made the whole experience even better. Definitely ask for Daryl if you’re stopping by!
First of all, shout out to Evan. He was an amazing waiter and he was very considerate of our time (here for the CB concert). He also is receptive to feedback. Case and point, My friend and I ordered smoky getaways — the first round was a little “juicy” and when we told Evan that we wanted to taste the mezcal more, the second round came out STRONG! In the midst of the chaos, Evan was still able to remain calm and kind. I appreciated him for that and I’d come back bc of him. Food was pretty good — we had wings, potato fingerlings and Korean tacos. All were pretty good, but overall, I’d try this place again and request Evan as our waiter.
I met up with a couple of my girlfriends for a long overdue brunch here. They were so helpful especially since I made my reservation for 12:00 a.m. instead of 12:00 p.m. 🤭 We opted for the outdoor seating It was a little cool but they do have patio heaters, so it was perfect. We all opted for the Social Dining Experience and added the bottomless drinks option for an additional $10, my drink of choice was the margarita from the available options. For my first course I went with the Korean Bbq Shrimp Tacos 10/10. Second course I decided on the Super Lump Crab cake Omelet 8/10. For my dessert I choose the Pistachio Mousse + Chocolate Brownie 10/10. Service was amazing and I never had to call anyone for my bottomless margarita refills. P.S. there is paid garage parking on the back of the Gatsby Restaurant.
Silver social was a great spot for brunch. We were seated immediately when we arrived for our reservation. The first thing I'll say is to carefully read the menu because although the offer the basics (chicken and waffles, shrimp and grits, etc), they have some different twists that really impact the taste. Overall the service was great. Our main server was good but kind of got distracted at times. I noticed that they were casually chatting with another table on the outdoor deck a few times for a quite a few minutes at a time. However, other servers were happy to help us with a few things (extra set of utensils, refills of champagne for bottomless mimosas, etc) when we asked. There were also some managers that checked in on us. After we finished eating, but still hanging out and finishing our reservation, we were asked to moved to a different booth so that they could accommodate a larger group. We were happy to do so and the manager also offered a round of dessert for the move. However, we noticed the larger party was never seated so that irked us a little bit but not enough to really stain the experience. The food was all really good. We shared all of our entrees and two sides of bacon. The benedict was so good but there was hardly any pork belly on it, so the item description was a bit misleading. The shrimp and grits cake was so good! The grits cake was different and not amazing, but the flavor of the shrimp made up for it, for SURE. The chicken and waffles dish was also good but the items were not really cohesive. The oven roasted chicken was good and the waffles were good separately. We all enjoyed the free desserts (churros and flourless cake) and the entire experience was nice. Great ambiance as well. This will be a great place to return to as the weather gets warmer.
My husband and I celebrated our 9th anniversary at Silver Social this past week and did the 3 course meal experience. Definitely a must in your itinerary!
Shrimp and grits- Kinda sweet tomato sauce. Comes with goat cheese. Much needed item, I personally needed more of the cheese. The portion was great for me. I also got to enjoy the chimichurri wings with the sauces and crispy skin. The wings themselves needed to be seasoned before cooking, but the finished product was still nice. Peach Bellini was nice but it wasn't cold enough, tasted the peach close to the end. Passion fruit Mimosa, was room temp and didn't taste like passion fruit nothing. Moscow mule, strong on the lime. Fresh squeezed orange juice Churro French toast That Kahlua sauce was amazing and so was the churros, but the actual French toast didn't go well with the sauce AT ALL! The apple dessert was tasty would have been better with ice cream. The edge crust was dry. Service was nice, place was clean, staff was knowledgeable and friendly. We plan to come back, and maybe try sitting outside.
Trendy spot with an elevated menu and feel compared to the diner downstairs. They have a limited and rotating menu that changes every quarter that has interesting takes on brunch faves. Drinks are well mixed and the staff is helpful. Try the olive oil cake with raspberries!
I have been a regular at silver social for over a year now and I love the place!! Drinks and service have always been on point, you have to try the mocha-tini!! For food , the scallop pasta and wagyu beef sliders are a must. If you sit at the bar you have to ask for Ishmael he is the best! Only downside, i came today and the manager was staring at me and my friends and it made us very uncomfortable. We waved to him and he came to see if we needed anything, but we just wanted to enjoy our time without any eyes directly on us. After he left from the bar, he continued to stare until we left. I've never had an experience like this at silver social and hopefully things will change in the future. Thank you again Ishmael!! i'll be back soon.
A small group of girlfriends and I decided to finally check out Silver Social last week. While the service and staff were lovely, the food and drinks were not as enjoyable as we anticipated. While I appreciated the attempt to provide an upscale experience, the menu seems extremely limited and the craft cocktails weren't anything to write to home about. Next time, we will likely eat downstairs at the diner first and then pop upstairs to sit at the bar, rather than a table, and order something simple like a class of wine. On another hand, the music selection and views are wonderful and the outdoor space will be lovely as the weather gets better.
The outside patio seat is really nice, especially at night. The food is also really great. The chimichurri chicken wings very tasty. Smashed Potatoes were delicious and the chicken and waffles were exceptionally cooked. However, the waiter I had was very inattentive. He failed to provide adequate service to my guests. It took an extremely long time to get our food and he didn't find the right cadence and how to check in with his guests about their experience. I will return to this location again because the food was so exceptional but I do hope the service will improve when I return.
I chose Silver Social for my birthday brunch while visiting DC because a friend spoke very highly of it. I was genuinely excited to try it, which made the experience even more disappointing. As someone who eats vegan, I reviewed the menu ahead of time and saw several vegetarian options. However, once seated, I was informed that almost none of those dishes could be modified to be vegan. According to the staff, substitutions were not allowed. For a restaurant offering multiple vegetarian plates, it felt surprising and restrictive not to accommodate simple changes. There was only one true vegan option available for brunch. Service overall felt distant and not very solution-oriented. I mentioned I was visiting from out of town and celebrating my birthday, but there wasn’t much engagement or effort to elevate the experience. The wait time for food was also longer than expected. When the dish arrived, the presentation was beautiful, but the flavors were underwhelming. It lacked depth and seasoning; not salt, just dimension. After fasting and looking forward to a meaningful birthday meal, it felt like a missed opportunity. This may be a great spot for traditional brunch diners, but it is not particularly vegan-friendly, especially if substitutions are off the table. I truly wanted to love this place given the recommendation, but unfortunately, it did not meet expectations.
