Terasol Washington Reviews
I have no complaints. My sister had the quiche and crust was very flaky and buttery. My niece had eggs and bacon. The bacon was thick and very good. I had the steak and it was cooked perfectly. The prices are high but that's what you find in this neighborhood. I will definitely come back next time I'm in the area.
We have been her for lunch and dinner now and the food is always surprisingly delightful. The blue cheese quiche is delicious. There's also live music on certain evenings. We are lucky to have this French focused restaurant in this spot of town.
Terasol continues to be our favorite neighborhood restaurant. It is quiet and intimate and the food is always delicious. The staff is friendly and professional and the atmosphere is perfect for conversation. Dining at Terasol is always a 5 star experience.
My first visit to Terasol. Lunch was excellent. The best eggplant sandwich I ever had. Onion soup very good. Service very good. Atmosphere quiet and relaxing.
Cozy, beautiful, artful, and exquisite French food offerings. Terasol time and time again impresses the taste and culinary vision of the chef and the owners. It is a place to go and try excellent food in a cozy setting.
One of the best hidden restaurants in the D.C. area. Dinner is amazing and breakfast is affordable, yet delicious. Only recommendation would be to train wait staff better.
Fantastic lunch! The service was very good and we all thouroughly enjoyed the atmosphere and the food.
Amazing food, live music, fun atmosphere all packed into a tiny intimate room.
Nice! Quaint! French! And consistently good fare.
Loved the setting, food and service
Fantastic place for date night!
They're rude half the time. I love thier french onoin soup and bread. The chicken taste like any chicken youd get from fast fod. Thus a $20 is not worth it at all. I've tried their omelet, good
So-so. The service is efficient if a little impersonal. The food doesn't rise above OK. Mixed salad was excellent (despite the apparently obligatory cottony tomatoes), fish of the day, Mahi-Mahi was overdone. The dish itself was heavy--too much butter on the haricots vert and the sweet potato coulis. The red wine I ordered (by the glass) had a slight medicinal edge. It did nothing to enhance the food. The room is comfortable but the floor-to-ceiling mirror, which gives the illusion of a space twice the actual size, is disconcerting. Removing the mirror would create a cozier atmosphere. I would add that the gift shop at the front suggests a less than fanatical focus on cuisine.
Not a big fan. On a couple of occasions the waiter forgot to brig the credit card back. Never happened to me any place else.
I had a great dessert (berries and cream -- easy but good), but the rest of the food was either fairly bad (hard--overcooked or dry) or just flavorless. I love French food and keep a place in France, so it's not that I don't like French food. My wine was served in the little stemmed glasses you get in French dives, so there was no room for a bouquet and no pleasure from the feel of the glass. There were good wine glasses around -- maybe you get those only if you order a bottle, or something, but why do that? The red wine also was served too warm to taste good, a common fault around here. Also, though there was plenty of space, I was put by the kitchen. I eat alone with pleasure and I usually feel hostesses/hosts are especially nice, for whatever reason. I can't remember being stuck at a bad table and I can remember lots of especially kind treatment. This place, though, had a bad vibe for me. And it wasn't very busy at dinner time, so maybe this tells me something.
Food is over priced and underwhelming. Ambience is nice especially due to the live music. Would come back to sip a cup of coffee or maybe try a dessert, but would probably not have another entrée.
I made a reservation through open table for valentines day night. Nowhere was it shown that they had a special vday menu and no other options. Entrees that were overpriced compared to the normal menu and forced to come with sides we did not want. Absolutely ruined our plans. Now we are scrambling to find a new place to eat on the spot after this very unfortunate surprise. I will never be eating here in the future.
We got there, they filled our cups with water and that's it. We waited for about 10 minutes and they weren't busy at all yet they couldn't take the time to even ask us what we would like to drink. The food... Well it looked amazing too bad we left since they ignored us the whole time and waited on a lady who got there after us. Never going back.
