After many reviews I read and the word of mouth recommendations, I made it to Basil Ginger! Went on Valentine’s Day with the wife. First I will say applause to all the staff! Many ladies worked diligently to make such a night work out well! Balancing dealing with in house people and to go orders galore. Great job everyone! This place is smaller than I thought but they make up for it with an attractive atmosphere leaving you with the Asian feel. The food was all A+ as expected! We had spring rolls deep fried. I almost had a second order made! The dipping sauce was so good with it was almost drinkable! For entree’s we devoured Pad Thai Chicken and Shrimp Cake and Lo Mein chicken. All the flavors were there and both wife and I were very happy! Washed it down with a Thai Tea of course!

If you are looking for asian food go give it a try. The food was flavorful and yummy! We do have a great dinner here, food was amazing, perfectly served and the waiting time was really quick! I think it’s not even 15 minutes until the food was complete in our table 🥰🥰 The waitress were so friendly and helpful to recommend us some of the menus We visited during dinner time and it was full house! But don’t worry because they won’t make you waiting too long and you still have the enjoyable dining experience because we can still have a chit chat here it’s cozy and not too loud here

I've been to this restaurant about 6 times over 3 months. It's always great. It's very consistent and the food is really very good. We've had their Mongolian beef, general tso, chicken lo mein, dumplings, chicken lettuce wraps(both the appetizer one and the entree one, and their sauce is slightly different so there are two very similar chicken lettuce wraps) cashew shrimp, and their soups. I love their chicken lo mein

First time here and we were not disappointed. We had the General Tso, yellow chicken curry, rainbow roll, smile roll and I can’t remember the other roll. Service was fast, food was delicious overall we are beyond pleased.

One of the best restaurants in the valley. Very good food and great service. My wife and I love this place. We have ordered many different items on the menu and they are all good. They have very good sushi. The Alaska Roll is awesome!!! And they have fantastic steak here as well .

Clean, quick, friendly and tasty. We had the Snap Pea Shrimp and Sesame Chicken. Both were good. For those looking for sweeter side, Sesame Chicken is great option. Snap Pea Shrimp delivered on fresh savory. Parking is plentiful and easy to access. Returned 2 years later and had another great experience. Tried the Mai Roll. Loved it!! Highly recommend. Great if someone isn't sure about trying sushi roll. Lettuce wraps are a crowd pleaser for an appetizer to share. The fried cheesecake bites are perfect for sharing amongst a few people. I tried the Basil Stir Fry with shrimp/prawns. This dish was good. Not spicy unless you were to actually eat the chili pepper (which I don't). I recommend the snap pea shrimp over the stir fry.

All I've heard about Basil Ginger is very good. We finally had the opportunity to find out firsthand how special this place is. I recommend making a reservation. The servers are all positive, polite and helpful. It's nice to find a business where the employees seem happy to be there and to take care of the customers. Our order was taken promptly and the food arrived sooner than we expected. The appetizer, chicken lettuce wrap, was very tasty. My first sushi, and not at all what I was expecting, it was very good and now I'm ready to try some more. Reasonably priced, very good food and extraordinary service - I will be eating at Basil Ginger again.

We were pleasantly surprised by our first dinner at Basil Ginger. All of the food was excellent! The service was good, with our servers and other staff were very kind. The busy times you may want to reserve a table but we didn’t have to wait long. Happy with everything and most importantly the food. The Mai roll was excellent. All in all a very good experience and unlike other several places we’ve eaten at we didn’t wish we ate at home. Worth the money and a nice night out. We went again recently for our anniversary. It was delightful. Excellent food, consistently done well.

The food here is amazing but there has been a noticeable downgrade in staff’s ability to get the food order correct. Everyone is super nice so it’s not personal, but over the past few months my order has had something wrong with it multiple times. Twice I have ordered takeout of a maki combo with a substitution of spicy tuna instead of regular tuna and gotten home to find that I was charged the upcharge price but received the regular tuna roll. Both times I called and was given a credit (which is very kind and definitely makes things right), but it’s getting annoying. When I call my order in and ask for the substitution, some of the people I’ve spoken with seem to get very confused about how a substitution works. One time I even received the order with a receipt that read “regular tuna instead of spicy tuna”, for which I was charged the upcharge fee. That really makes zero sense and should have been caught by the people making the food. Additionally, I have also had the wrong soup order on multiple occasions….or even not received the soup that I ordered at all. I really hate to complain, but it’s gotten to the point that I’m super frustrated with all the mistakes. One of my friends has also complained about incorrect orders when she dines in-person. That being said, food is great (the only sushi I will eat in the valley and hands down the best fried rice!), atmosphere is nice and staff is friendly.

After the initial review the owner reached out and our family gave it another try and was happy we did! Secondary review: Completely different experience the second time around! The service team ran it right, they were very friendly, fast, and attentive. The crab dip was again 10/10. The Alaska roll was given a 4/5 by our daughter. The yellow curry was given a 5/5 but was said it could use a bigger side of rice for all the sauce. The Da Bomb roll was 4/5 as it had an underwhelming eel taste which I love eel so I just wish it had a little more of that. Overall experience was a 4.5/5 huge increase from previous experience. Hopefully that last time was just a fluke. We will definitely come back again in the future. Initial review: We went for our daughter birthday, the deconstructed crab Rangoon dip appetizer was amazing so my hopes were high. The soups were all very good. Then our main courses came and everything went down hill fast. I then got one of the sashimi bowls I don’t remember the name but it was supposed to have shrimp and did it and the scallop that was on top was so bad when eating it I literally threw up in my mouth, I had one other bite and couldn’t keep going. Overall would not ever get that again. Daughter got the salmon bowl and said it was okay but was underwhelming. Husband got the chicken Phanaeng curry meal which is his favorite dish and he was super excited they had it there but it was not good at all he took two bites and left it. Probably the most expensive disappointment of food I’ve had in a long time as it started so well. The server asked if we wanted boxes which our daughter got one but never asked how the meal was or anything like that, even with all that food still left on the table.

Just ate there today and portions were smaller from last time. Also the staff kept asking if we were done eating and trying to grab our plates while we were visiting and still eating (our waiter was nice, wasn't his fault). After getting our check they stopped by immediately after, I told her I hadn't had a chance yet to put my card in. They then stared at us while we were getting ready to leave. Akward. I cannot commnt on the atmosphere or service as we got our order to go. As for the food, I cannot recommend this place. The hot and sour soup had some eggs drizzled in but little to nothing else. Aside from the lite tickle in the back of the throat to indicate they remembered white pepper it was very lackluster and if I hadn't known what it was I never could have named it. The Kung Pao Chicken had 3 chilli peppers in the dish but the tomato based sauce covering the zucchini, as well as the chicken, we're nearly tasteless. The Stir Fry Basil Beef was also flavorless. Could taste the thai basil of course but beyond that, nothing. Overall impression left us thinking they are cooking by numbers....have a bunch of prepped ingredients but dont season them because you don't know what dish they go in yet....then just toss in the main ingredients for the dish and serve. That works but only if you actually add seasonings and heat the ingredients together for the dish to come together. I don't know, maybe their sushi is good? If not, you deserve better so try another place.

The waiter was very kind and attentive, the food sucked. The sushi was mushy and had no flavor of anything. Some sort of dark old avocado inside it. My white rice had some goopy brown stuff in it. The General T chicken was bland. Just tasted like sweet and sour, nothing else. Honestly tastes like a TV dinner you grab from the frozen isle at Walmart. $94 dollars for just garbage.

Hopefully you all change and actually provide fresh cooked items for takeout and not just up your prices on the current menu. The meal tonight I ordered was just overcooked items probably sitting waiting for takeout orders. 1. $10 for two small eggrolls is crazy. Anywhere else you get at least 4 for that price. They seemed just heated up too. 2. Chicken lo-mein was way overcooked. Noodles were mush and all that I tasted was crushed red pepper. So my guess is you had a bunch cooked up and shook a bunch of crushed red pepper to make it appear it was cooked fresh. 3. Your Chinese dishes seem to use all the same sauce and don’t taste any different from each other. Also seemed to be sitting out and dished up for a to-go order. Overall, probably won’t order takeout again soon for the prices and quality you have. Maybe different dining in, but I have my doubts.
