Asian Buffet Watauga Reviews
Just like any buffet, food was good but not exceptional. Service was great and the place was nice and bright.
This is okay place for the price. Lot of variety to try but I won’t say it’s the best tasting food. Crawfish was good! Overall, Flavors are little flat as it’s catering all type of people. Friendly staff, clean environment, not too loud, afforded. Good crowd. Definitely a one time thing but it’s subjective
The food was fabulous as it always is. So she was great and fresh and plentiful. That tiramisu cake dessert looking thing was outstanding. Honestly nothing was bad. I drive almost an hour to come eat here. And I will continue to do so because it's good food and good service. Although they put very little ice in my water, I won't hold it against them lol
Fridays and Saturdays they have oysters and crab legs. Paid $14.03 including tax. Food is.good and they have a nice selecion. I always go between 5.30 and 7 pm when most people go that way you know higher volume means fresher food to keep up with. My second time here and just as happy as the first time i was here.
Asian Buffet is my go to place when I’m in the mood for a buffet. They offer a wide variety of food, including hibachi and a sushi bar. The service is quick, and the servers are constantly clearing away dirty plates. The restaurant is spacious, with plenty of seatings for small and big groups. For the price, the amount of decent food you can choose from is hard to beat…what more can you ask for!
It was my first time trying this place after some shopping next door. The food is delicious. There’s a great variety of selections at the buffet. Everything was seasoned well & hot! The desserts were yummy, too! Update: Went by a second time recently after church. It was about 2 pm. The food wasn’t as fresh. Some was overcooked & semi-dry. I guess quality depends on time of day or who cooks.
Server was attentive. Routine buffet. Plenty of crab if that your choice. The mongolian grilled food was best part IMO.
Been going here for a few yrs now. Food quality and taste been great. But noticed the quality and taste is not the same anymore. So I will stay away for awhile and I'll give a try again later.
You might consider coming to this buffet during dinner on the weekends. Friday even. Tuesday night at 7 doesn't seem to be the most appetizing selection in terms of freshness. Quite disappointing. 🥠 So get the Mongolian grill and some sushi.
Food was awful... It was either cold or old. Went to the hibachi grill to try to get something grilled up and the beef looked like it had been sitting there for hours and the tips of it was a dark brown and dried up. I mentioned it to the guy that was sitting in front of the sushi and he stearnly said thank you like he was trying to get me to shut up. Mentioned it again and he just picked the tips out and left the rest. They do not keep their food stored properly or it wouldn't have looked like that. Some of the food was bland tasting, and the rest was cold or hard from sitting and the whole buffet was a waste of money. For $17 per person I would go somewhere else.
Me and my girlfriend went here to get supper and was seated rather quickly by a kind waitress. And that’s about the highlight of the experience. I tried to coconut shrimp, fried shrimp, sesame balls, and other various foods here. None of the food tasted good, for instance the coconut shrimp’s sauce was just too much and too thick, and the fried shrimp was really just the battering with how much they had over the shrimp. They somehow made their canned fruit options taste bad? Idk how they did that. In addition, I went to get some of their banana pudding as a saving grace and they didn’t have any out, their place for it was empty with just the crumbs of it left. When I went into the male bathroom the SINK was downright disgusting, and my girlfriend said the woman’s bathroom was similar. I do not think for what we got it was worth $41.09 for two people to go there.
I came in for the lunch special around 230 and the host was helping a gentleman in a wheel chair which was very nice to see. Got seated, the place is clean and decorated as you would expect nothing too crazy. The food unfortunately flopped between uncooked and overcooked. The food did not look like it had been changed, resupplied or even touched in the past hour or two. There wasn't many other people inside but even the 'picky kids' section looked unappetizing with the Mac n cheese having a literal film from not being touched. I think if they set out new food for the lunch rush or at least tended to the food that was already out by turning or something that the food might look more appealing. I'm sad this place was a disappointment, it's in a very good spot as far as location.
Do not waste your money. We ate at 6:00 pm and food looked like it has been sitting all day. The chicken was grisly and fat. The egg rolls were dried out, dessert bar looked like it had been sitting out all day as well. Our waitress gave us our check while we were still eating. This was not worth my 40.00.
$37 for two adults is insane. If you want better food for a better price, I recommend the Asian King Buffet by the NE Mall. I can guarantee the food quality and price will be way better than this monstrosity I witnessed today. Furthermore, the lack of watermelon was disheartening. The orange chicken had no flavor. Dare I say it? Panda Express has better orange chicken than this! Where were the cream cheese ragoons? Where was that slaw?
Absolutely trash old dry food dont put out fresh food. they have an attitude when you tell them about it. I been here 2 or 3 times never again though its bad . wish I took some pictures the crabs looked a week old
BEAWRE ROACHES: We had eaten here a few times and my husband loves seafood and everytime we would leave he would end up getting sick from the seafood. The rest of the food was normally okay but have had better. We hadn't went in a while and decided to try it again today for lunch and the food wasn't very good, but that's not the worst part about our experience. Today we witnessed MULTIPLE ROACHES crawling in our booth. We took the pictures to my husband took to the lady up front and her response was "oh it's hot outside so they came inside" like WHAT?! DO NOT EAT HERE
