Update: 03-29-23 Went for lunch. Got seated fast. Waitress was very nice and always made sure we were good. I'm bummed though. They no longer have the spinach dip😔 other than that food and service was good. Visited at lunch time. Ordered a few drinks and food. It was much better this time. Amanda our waitress did an awesome job. Also the hostess was very friendly. Keep up the great job.

Love that this location is very consistent with fast friendly service and great food . The manager Ashton always goes by to make sure all tables are being serviced and customers are satisfied with their visit .

Definitely worth the value! Customer service was on point. The atmosphere was on point. Great place to eat. It offers a lot of variety from pizza and wings to salads to burgers and fries even chicken fried steak dinner! It literally has a little bit of everything for everyone one! Its family friendly or you can seat in the bar section and enjoy an evening with friends. Will most definitely be a returning customer! The spicy Buffalo chicken pizza, was AMAZING!!!! Even the crust was totally on point. Super crazy. I think I almost enjoyed the pizza crust more than the pizza itself. The burgers are so good! They're juicy, mouthwatering, cooked to perfection and made just right! The burgers are literally a burgers paradise for any burger lover. There's even an array of drink options from non alcoholic to alcoholic. So many choices.

Greeted by two young ladies with great big smiles. The burgers were excellent. Dylan our server was amazing so polite took our order right away and was so friendly. The manager Ashton came by to see how we doing. My husband and I enjoyed Bubba's33 very much.

Fair prices. Shotgun shrimp were good but the fiestas dip was to die for. I had the habanero burger with added bacon . Very good portions here and a fat onion ring on top! Salad and veggies were fresh. The California chicken is one of my pics along with the chicken Philly if you were interested. All of it was amazing!

Was in town for an Air Force graduation so we brought our new Airman to Bubbas to try it out and we were not disappointed at all.... The food was excellent with very generous portions, the value was great for the portion size, the location was convenient and the atmosphere was very sports bar/grill with plenty of TV's playing. The biggest positive for us was the service, everyone was friendly and helpful and congratulatory for Our Airman, even giving him a special treat for his graduation... we had Marshal as our waiter and man was he good, he knew the menu well made some suggestions and was hands down one of the best waiters we have ever had, we never had an empty cup or a need for anything as he was right there one step ahead, and they were very busy to boot.... Hopefully he sees this review cause we couldn't tell him enough what a great job he did.... PS. Try the raspberry chipotle wings, it was his suggestion and they were amazing

Food was so good we've been back 2days in a row. Placed my order online then picked up using Curbside delivery. The young lady (sorry I don't know your name) who has delivered my meal is fantastic and I only wish I could have tipped her more.Its always packed here but looks like a lively placed to have drinks and watch a game. Of course we'll be back. Update:Finally got a chance to eat in instead of takeout. Our server was great, drinks & food were good. This place stays busy but our food was out promptly and were were able to watch golf and the NBA playoffs on their many large tvs

Awesome customer service! The onion rings are delicious! And the pizza is yummy. I can never finish it, the best part is that it taste just as great warming it up as leftovers. If your hungry don't go on a Friday or Saturday night, there's typically a long wait. Any other day is a great time. The blueberry sweet tea is good but make sure to ask for extra ice, it taste better super cold.

It’s was my first time taking the family to eat here. It was really busy and the staff did a great job getting us seated, and getting drinks to us right away. We were surprised to find a versatile menu that fulfilled everyone’s craving. The kids pizzas were great and our daughter enjoyed a cheeseburger. My fiancé ordered the fish n chips and they were amazing. I ordered the lasagna and it was well cooked. The ambiance was nice and our server was great! I’m definitely bringing the family again.

Are server unaware you have Burgers 🍔 specials Tuesdays. Even when bringing the bill had to point it out again. She was not attentive at all, I asked another server 3 times for her cause mine was who knows where.

Always enjoy my time out at Bubba's. The food, happy hour, and ambiance makes it a pleasant fun time. What I enjoy most are the burgers, especially the avocado. Burgers are juicy, tasty, and visually appealing. On Monday Madness the burgers are discounted which is the day I usually go. The service has been good to average, so you'll have to be patient. This was our first time at this restaurant. Our son loves this place. So we decided to give it a try. Let me start off with our waitress her name was Courtney. She was the sweetest waitress. It’s my new favorite place to go with my kids. The price is reasonable the food is delicious. I can’t believe I hadn’t heard of the place sooner. It has a retro feel type of atmosphere. The service was not as good as it could’ve been, but it was pretty busy, so I wasn’t so upset by it. Friendly waitress, very sweet, but not very attentive as she was very busy.

This place is a hidden gem. I saw their menu on Google maps and figured I'd try the parmesan chicken sandwich, honestly not expecting much. But I was pleasantly surprised. The sandwich is big, it tastes really good wrih lots of cheese and their sauce had a little bit of kick to it. I highly recommend, it's not your standard Parmesan cheese sandwich. This place is pretty cool from the outside you can't tell much when you walk in it has probably about 40 to 50 TVs all over the place the decor is awesome and the staff was absolutely great. Santos did a great job of waiting the table and was always there asking if I need anything. I highly recommend checking this place out!

After a disappointing visit to 54th Street across the highway—where our request for accessible seating for my father was denied we set out to find another place to dine. Thankfully, we found Bubba’s, and they did not disappoint. From the moment we arrived, the food, service, and welcoming atmosphere made us feel valued and comfortable as a disabled family. A big shout-out to our server, Brandon, and Manager Nick, who went above and beyond to make our visit exceptional. Their kindness, professionalism, and willingness to accommodate our needs truly stood out especially after the experience we had just come from. First time for us at Bubba's and it was soooo good. Our server was very kind and always checking on us. My husband got a stromboli or calzone which he said was very good. My daughter got the tender basket and it was a lot of food!! I got the smash burger with fire fries and my son got the kids cheese pizza. He loved it and has been asking everyday to go back. The food and service were excellent. My daughter had the Philly Cheese Steak and I had the Black and Blue Burger. She goes frequently for the Philly, since she lives in the area. This was my first time. We split our sandwiches. I agree this is the place to go for the Philly. It is also the place to go for a Black and Blue. (For those that are not familiar a Black and Blue has Blue cheese.) The only problem with the atmosphere was the way they were rotating the games on the screens. This is a sports bar.

Bubbas is a great restaurant with a wide variety of delicacies to indulge yourself in, there are many different chains here in San Antonio and this one probably has some of the best! Food: 10/10 The food was very good, the steak I got was cooked really great, it was nice and juicy, and didn’t get caught in my teeth! All the appetizers were fresh, especially the mozzarella sticks! The cheese just kept stretching out. Service: 10/10 We had wonderful service as well, our waitress was very kind and polite despite the kitchen being backed up. She kept up with refills and kept us up to date with everything happening. She served with a smile and I really did appreciate everything she did for our small party. I believe her name was “Angel”, short and worked Tuesday night. Could be wrong but she was really good! She even brought us desserts! Atmosphere: 8/10 Not sure but it’s a PERSONAL OPINION! I’m sure it was probably just me, but the atmosphere wasn’t all that, it was good but not like some places I’ve been too recently. Overall will be back again soon!

The $4 standard drink was good, not just some cheap tasting crap. The atmosphere was good for a sports bar. The restaurant was not too loud because of the games being played on many TVs

Went here for my birthday in the late afternoon for dinner. Wasn't too crowded and party of 2 was seated quickly. I ordered the Southern Fried Chicken with mash potatoes and broccoli. My partner got the chicken Parm sandwich with tater tots. The berry bliss mocktail. The only thing that was kind of mid was the mocktail. But everything else was good and filling. The service was good almost to the point it was starting to become annoying lol we had the waitress, then the Assistant manager come up to us who happened to be training. The waitress ask us how we were doing then followed by the manager asking us how what we were doing. All in all was a great experience and we were happy with our food.

I went there for the first time , and the service was great. I pretty like the Philly sandwich, but the pizza was salty and wasn't as good as the sandwich . Also, the Monday burger deal was $9.99 instead of $6.99.

Went for the first time as part of a large group. They put us in their covered outside area, which was fine as it wasn't too hot. I ordered their spicy habanero hamburger and my kids got the kids mac n cheese, the chicken tenders, and fries. Apparently the mac was good because my son actually ate all of it. Took my kids a bit to accept the seasoning on the fries and tenders though. My burger was very flavorful and just enough fries so I didn't feel stuffed. With the group, they only gave us one server. She was great, very kind and engaging. However the service was glacial. She wisely took the kids orders first but it still took almost an hour from the time I sat down until I got my burger. They really need to have more servers for those large groups. She did the best She could but 15 different checks is a lot for anyone. Only other minor ding is the music TV. My kids are pretty young and they are playing videos of doja cat, dua Lipa, and Prince which are things I don't really need my kids watching.

We were so happy that someone was open on Christmas Eve! The atmosphere was great and the food is always delicious every time we visit. The service could have been a little better. Despite it being Christmas Eve, it wasn’t as busy and our server did not come to check on us after taking our order and leaving our drinks for at least 20-30 minutes. One of my relatives ordered unsweetened tea and is diabetic and uses sweetener, however there was no sugar or sweetener at the table and she was without drinking for almost the whole 20-30 minutes. Another family member had to go to the group standing around at the host podium to get the sweetener. It was thereafter that our server came to see if we needed anything. She didn’t come again back around until we got our check after that. As an ex-server, checking on my tables a few times was a must, especially with refilling drinks, which we did not get either due to the lack of service. We will still be back because Bubba’s has provided us with good family memories and the food never disappoints. Thank you.

Our server, Alexis (I believe that was her name), was absolutely amazing. She made sure we were taken care of. I ordered the shroomin burger and the mango lemonade. Everything for me was absolutely amazing. My husband ordered the signature ribeye. However, his ribeye was not cooked as he requested. But they were so kind to take off for that. Super friendly staff. Delicious food and overall great experience. My only recombination is that the cook learns the difference of medium and medium rare! But the management and our server were too kind to make things right without us asking. Would come back. Thank you so much!

Not a fan of the philly cheese steak or south fried chicken. So far the salmon salad is the best said ever! I am not a fan of salmon. System here sucks, I ask for a double shot for my drink cuz I know it's $2 cheaper. Server thought I said one shot. Once they put into computer system, they can't do anything about it. So I end up paying $2 more. 🤦‍♀️ what a waste of money. Kids grilled cheese was really good!!! They done ripped me off on me tater tots. One time they gave me a lot of tater tots. I guess it depends on who is working. Chunky potatoes, not a fan. They added pieces of chewy potato skins and it just doesn't taste very good at all. It looks good but taste weird with the chunky potato skins.👀 Now still 4 stars: Not a fan of their southern fried chicken. Wings not very good, quality meat and flavor was ok. Cheesecake not as good as Red Lobster. 6 months ago 4 stars: 2 days in a row Justin beiber or timberlake something song. Had to drink my beer all fast & leave. 🤦‍♀️ lucky the onion rings are good. The 4 for $4 is nice except the original LIT? Long Island iced tea I guess. Too sweet for me. Music was good til JB or JT played 2 days in a row. Not bad over all, wait time was 25 minutes to be seated. It was a weeknight (Wed), and we arrived around 8 pm. Atmosphere was pleasant, wait staff followed up on us every 5 minutes or so. Food was GREAT. Appetizers came promptly, drinks took a little longer....BUT our waiter had no control over that.... that was the Bartender. The only critique I have is, we asked for water RIGHT from the start and after everything had hit our table we asked again for it.... Finally we got it 👍.....so over all not bad.

Great pizza but this photo is after I added more toppings. Skip the wings ewww daughter and I left them. Garlic Bread was yummy. This is the large pizza since we took back to our hotel Best Western Plus. Goat Cheese and arugula was fresh and the pizza dough chewy but soft delicious. I do appreciate the marketing manager coming over to let me know details such as Bubba’s 33 is sister restaurant to TX Road House.

Great atmosphere, love the music variety too. Had the sampler platter (can't remember what it's called now), it was gooooooood. Lots of fried pickles, so many I had to bring them home!. We have been to this location multiple times and most recently on May 4th for lunch. They were a little busy but not too bad. We ordered an appetizer and it took way too long to get it. The food came shortly after we finished the appetizer. We noticed other tables that ordered appetizers long after we ordered got their appetizers shortly after we did. It made think our waiter put our order in late or forgot for a while. The food was pretty good as usual. The food was not as warm or hot as it should have been, so I think after it was made it sat too long before our slow waiter brought it to us.

I must be getting old but it was so loud I couldn't hear my hubby and kid. The floor was so sticky it wanted to keep my shoes. My food wasn't cooked all the way and the fries were cold. Only saving grace was our server she was very nice and took my food off the bill.

The food was great. Our waiter was terrible. We were waiting on 2 more people to arrive and when they did he stood in the corner talking to another employee and ignored us for 7-8 minutes. The only thing that made it better was another waiter came over and checked us, took the drink order for the 2 who just arrived andtook our food order. The new guy said he would pass on the order to the original waiter. The original waiter brought us the food and disappeared again. The second guy checked on us, filled our drinks and basically became our waiter. The manager came by and asked how things were. I explained what was going on praised the second waiter. I also have the second waiter the tip. Only after we were finished with our meal and ready to leave stuff the first waiter check to see if we needed anything. The second guy was awesome.

I ordered the bacon cheeseburger with tater tots. Burger was well seasoned. Bacon was very good and flavorful. Tots hot and crispy! Our server was very good and helpful! We also had the chorizo cheese dip and that was delicious!

Chicken was under cooked. Kids meal had a bigger portion of tater tots. 1st cups of water came out in “stained” glasses so the water looked yellow, the waiters brought new glasses when we questioned it. Fried chicken salad and wings were good for others in the party.

Loved the ambience (decor, music, TV options). Enjoyed the food. Okay with the service. Overall, a great place for a buddy hang, casual date, or family meal... but bring a jacket for the cold (the A/C is impressive!). All the staff were friendly and welcoming; however, on two separate visits, we had service hangups, but not so much that we didn't have a really good time. The first time, a weekday lunch, took almost 20 minutes to get the food and another 15 for the replacement (after they made a mistake the first time). The second visit, a weekend lunch (at 11:30), was a little faster but still had an error (pepperoni on a cheese pizza order) that took 15 minutes to fix. And again, glasses sat empty with 10-15 minutes between server visits. That said, the burger and grilled chicken were incredible! We were also pleasantly surprised by the noise level on a football game day...good enough to hear the music or game but not so loud that you couldn't talk using your "indoor voice." The one strange thing was that the dining area has a single, gender-neutral bathroom with one toilet that felt like a tiny gas station rather than a casual dining restaurant, so if it's busy, walk over to the bar side.

Took my mother to have dinner Sunday evening and we both get the southern fried chicken like we have since the first time we came here. Not only were the portions smaller, but the chicken tasted different. It wasn't tender, almost like they fried it really fast and so its not raw but its not well done chicken either. We didn't complain. I hope this isn't a new recipe cause I'd hate for the tradition of taking my mother here for dinner to end.

The food tasted really good. Personally, I feel like they salted the bacon-chicken mac-n-cheese way too much but overall the texture and flavor was nice. The flavored lemonade was excellent, I’m going back just to try all their lemonade flavors. The food and drinks were prepared very quickly, but nonetheless the order was correct. The atmosphere was kind of loud considering the fact that there were only a few people in the place besides us, maybe work on volumes and acoustics. Maybe work on getting those prices down too. Overall, I’m still going to give a 3 star review because I definitely see alot of potential here.

This place was decent but probably not worth a second visit. It feels like the restaurant is a large version of the bar section of a TGI Fridays. The wife and I started with the fried pickles and mozzarella stick appetizers. The mozzarella sticks were long Spirals and very good. The fried pickles were okay a little to oily and greasy for my likes. I ended up getting the blue cheese burger with a fried egg on top. I asked it to be cooked medium but it came out close to well.

The staff was very pleasant and attentive. The fries and onion rings are amazing especially with their side sauce. Idk what it is but it taste great. We ordered a couple of of burger and they looked very juicy, the bubba’s bacon burger definitely has plenty of patty. The wild shroomin was soso.

Went here for a lunch meeting and ordered a kids Mac and cheese due to some dietary restrictions. The macaroni shells were tough the cheese sauce was okay but I could not get past how tough the noodles were. The server was great tho!

So our server was very nice and friendly. We saw her right after we got our meal. My fries were cold. Not even warm. I also had no mayo on some of my sandwich was was supposed to come with mayo. I told her and asked for ranch along with another person in our party. She brought us ranch the new fries and mayo. Then we didn't see her for a while. The manager came by to introduce himself. My cousin was out of his drink and needed a refill. The manager said I'll go get your server. I didn't mention my fries since the server took care of it. Then the server came back with refills. Took awhile to get boxes because we didn't see her. Overall for a first time experience it was meh. Didn't wow me to want to come back. Wasn't bad to give 1 star. It sucks that my first my meal didn't come out as it should have. The strawberry lemonade is super good! It was pretty clean in there as well.

The place was packed but we were able to get in and find seats at the bar with no wait. 🙌🏽The bar staff was amazingly friendly! They checked on us frequently throughout the visit. 🥰The fried pickles were horrible (3/10). They were battered well but they tasted under-seasoned and like the grease needed to be changed 🤢 The drinks were disappointing. We ordered the Triple Crown Marg thinking we would get 3 shots of Don Julio in a margarita as shown in the menu (see photo). We even asked if it came with 3 shots and were told yes. What we realized after tasting the drink is that it doesn’t have 3 normal shots in it because they use the small end of the shot measure cup (picture attached). We were so confused as to why the drink was so weak with 3 shots of Don Julio! We even added a topper and it was still very sweet. With so many options in San Antonio we probably won’t return.

The main reason this isn't getting a five-star rating is the cleanliness of the restaurant tables and menus. I went to grab a salt and pepper shaker, and the pepper shaker was just covered with food debris and sticky. The menus were a bit sticky and also the booth has a bunch of garbage shoved off to the side, it doesn't look like it's been cleaned and there's marks cut into the cushions. I would say this definitely needs a deep cleaning overall, starting with its tables. Also, I had probably one of the grungiest servers as well. Hair was falling all over the place and definitely not the best presentation to have as a server for a restaurant, even in a sports bar. There are TVs in every single room with loud music, so this place is definitely overstimulating. Be prepared for an overwhelming experience walking in, and be prepared to see something different on each screen. This definitely reminds me of a Buffalo Wild Wings type of fell mixed with a Dennys vibe. Overall, the food was okay. The burger is what they're known for, and the patty was good. I had a black and blue burger, but it was more sauce than anything else. The fries would have been better if there hadn't been a bunch of black in the fries. It looks like they just cut a few rotting potatoes and then deep-fried them. The manager came over in the middle of me making this review, and I mentioned the salt and pepper shakers. He just said they would take better care of it, no offer to get another one , or even to have these cleaned. After that interaction, I didn't think it was worth further talking about anything else, as I don't like to complain at a restaurant.

Service was terrible. I was rushed from the time I was seated and pressured to order an appetizer several times. After ordering I saw my waitress once. Food took very long to come out. Once my pizza arrived I was given no plate or cheese or ranch. Check was presented while I was still eating.

I ordered food on May 18th. This is a late review. I do apologize. I ordered a Philly cheese steak sandwich, a chicken strawberry salad, and loaded fries. They forgot the chicken in the salad. They gave me a small order of fries, and not everything was in the loaded fries. It was just cheese and fries. The Philly cheese sandwich was missing everything that it should have. It had meat and cheese. No works. I was not able to come back. It was closed that night. I came back the next morning. New staff and they remade my order. That is the only reason this review is 3 stars and not one. I'm never coming here again. To be honest, I would watch the footage that night when I came and see what happened. Something fishy happened while I was standing at the front that night. I may be wrong, but look at the video footage.

I don’t usually write bad reviews, but our visit yesterday was pretty unacceptable. We arrived at Bubba’s around 12:24 PM and were told there would be a 15-minute wait, which was fine. We were seated at 12:41 PM, and our waitress took our drink order right away but it took about 20 minutes just to get the drinks and place our food order. At that point it was already 1:00 PM, and the restaurant wasn’t busy at all. There were plenty of empty tables around us, so we figured maybe they were short-staffed. We waited patiently, but after 45 more minutes, still no food, no updates, and the waitress never came to check on us or apologize for the delay. We were hoping to enjoy lunch with our daughter before she had to go to work but after waiting over an hour total, we finally told the waitress we’d just pay for our drinks and leave. She called the manager, who apologized and said she didn’t realize we’d been waiting that long. She offered to rush the food out, but at that point it didn’t make sense to stay and have to rush through lunch. When we left, we noticed other tables around us still hadn’t gotten their food either, and by then people were waiting at the entrance and outside even though there were still empty tables inside. It really seemed like they were short-staffed or something was going on behind the scenes. We even noticed our waitress arguing with a host. The manager did comp our drinks, which we appreciated, but overall the experience was disappointing. We left around 1:50 pm. We ended up grabbing fast food and eating in the car so our daughter could make it to work on time. Hopefully they can work on communication and timing, because the service just didn’t match the kind of experience Bubba’s usually promises.

Our server was friendly. We ordered wings as an appetizer and it took so long that it came out with our food. My son just wanted a hot dog and his order came out 10 minutes after mine and my husband's meals. We were pretty much done by the time the hot dog showed up, which I had to ask about halfway through my burger. Too many TVs for the staff too apparently, lots of standing around and watching. When the manager came to ask how our food was, we told him about the hot dog and his explanation was that they probably had to defrost it first. He couldn't have cared less that we were less than pleased with our experience. A very disappointing birthday dinner for sure.

This wasn't my first time at Bubbas. But this time the service just simply sucked. Pardon my French. But our waiter just couldn't be found. Would come every great new moon. But we had to ask other waitresses because we never saw our server. The one thing also we found a hair in our onion rings. Omg. That was really bad. The restrooms were filthy. We still have men and women who can't do their business right. I hate to see their houses. But the restrooms were not kept up and the sad part also. There was a waiter in the restroom and he didn't care about the condition of the bathroom. People just don't care anymore. Employee's don't have any kind of pride in where they work and who they represent and who's paying their pay check. I know it's hard to find help. But it's even more to find the best people who give a Dam. I think the training needs to incorporate more ownership in Employee's to care about where they work. What they see and to take the extra step and do what needs to be done. It all starts with training. Leadership. It's just not there. Well it wasn't here tonight. Besides the hair. Everything else was great. The burgers were great. The pizza was so so. But what do you expect from a place like this. I dont appreciate being contacted in the late evening. This exemplifies how poorly your company is run. From the head mgmt. To the bottom waiter. No respect. As I stated in my comment. We found a hair in our onion rings. How do you think it went? We couldn't finish our meals after seeing a hair and my wife having a piece in her mouth. Nasty. Gross. Sick. Like I stated. We are really not even thinking of going back. A very bad experience. Also with out waiter. Always forgetting what we asked for. Taking too long. Not checking on us. We always had to ask another waiter for things. Just an all around a very bad experience. ONE THAT WE LIKE TO FORGET BUT I DONT KBOW ABOUT MY WIFE. SHES STILL UPSET ABOUT IT. AND ALL WE GOT WAS OUR ONION TAKEN OFF THE CHECK. WAY BAD. VERY. THANK YOU ABD HAVE A GOODNIGHT. Waiter was very rude and had attitude with just about everyone at our table as soon as we got there. Overheard him talking about don't expect good service in the last hour to another person sitting at the bar. I asked for no olives no mushrooms and extra sauce on my pizza , sauce was about non existent and there was olives ALL over the pizza. I didn't wanna make it a thing cause was already an uncomfortable annoying experience with his energy , so just took em off but he wrote down everything so idk how they messed that up. Pizza wasn't enjoyable and his attitude was already enough to want to leave from the beginning. Had hazel eye contacts , should not be dealing with people he has nooooo hospitality bone in his body. Crazy looks and remarks to everyone , should not be a waiter or in the front that's for sure if that's your people skills. Also they advertise the last hour specials on a chalkboard at the front right when you walk in so dont know why he was tripping so much about it. First bad experience I've had at bubbas but makes me NEVER want to go back again with people like that.

After waiting 30 minutes to be seated then 1.5 hour for our food they still didn’t bring out everyone’s meal at the same time. Forgot 3 of 6 peoples meals on top of waiting for refills for more than 20 minutes. Was the worst experience at a restaurant for a small group of people to celebrate a birthday! They sent a young inexperienced manager at first then finally sent someone that knew what they were doing to deal with the situation! If I could give them 1/2 star I would! And then an hour later still waiting for our ticket to pay so we could Gtfoh and not look back! Will not be returning!

Today I came to bubbas and my drink had a fly when I told the manager she ignored me as if it wasn’t anything. She said I can get you a new drink didn’t apologize until I mention that I would be writing to corporate. Manager name is Rayburn Lopez the manager. She decided to finish a side conversation knowing a cup was returned with a fly. I had to ask for a manager to get her attention.
