Eat Vietnam Express is such a hidden gem! The food is so good — fresh, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. You can really taste the quality in every dish, whether it’s the Vietnamese classics or the Chinese options. The place is also very clean and welcoming, and the service is always friendly and fast. Definitely one of my favorite spots for great food and good vibes. Highly recommend!

Came here based on review and service. Let me tell you!!! It was amazing all the way around. Service was exceptional and pho was hot and delicious. Very clean and even though it was a full house we received refills and extra toppings with no hesitation. As we ate there were many regulars who showed up which is always a great sign. I found my new favorite pho spot.

I just want to take the time to share my appreciation to Vietnam Express! I love the owner, Hai! She has been so nice to me every time I come! This restaurant is my favorite place to go! I love the food and specialty drinks that is served here particularly the blueberry jasmine tea!

Today was my first time here. I ordered the Pho 1 Meat and blueberry jasmine tea. The broth was very good. Portion size was perfect, I felt full but not overstuffed. I appreciated the excellent customer service. I was checked on occasionally to see if I needed anything/if everything was okay.

I've lived in San Antonio 8 years and finally I have found a place that sells what to me is the pinnacle of perfection when it comes to pho. Everything from service to atmosphere is just delightful. My journey for a recurring weekend spot for dinners with my wife is over. I can honestly say this is the spot for me. Appetizers 10/10 Lunch portions 10/10 Dinner portions 10/10 Banmi 12/10 Wether they were striving for the best or it's just plain old family cooking Vietnamese express has shown its one of the best and for that I thank them. Not only was it a delight to eat here but the way they treat you like family is beyond good service. <3 Also the Vietnamese coffee is a banger!

Delicious food, came out and you could tell everything was fresh! And the wait time is short. The whole place is clean, and the staff is very friendly. I recommend this place is you are looking for a good atmosphere and good pho here in San Antonio.

I love this place!! I’ve been so many times. The owners are very sweet too! They have the best pad Thai!! I love their pho and Banh mi as well. Their drinks are amazing too☺️

Super fresh, tasty food and fast, friendly service!! I tried both drive thru and dine in, both experiences were amazing. The order came very quickly, and the food quality was excellent ☺️ I love the grilled pork in the grilled pork bánh mì and the rice pork plate - crispy and fatty. The dish that made me come back was shrimp fried rice. They have their own twist in making it and it was really addicting! I had to order extra to-go haha. They also have delicious bò né (sizzling steak with egg, fries, bánh mì) that you should try if you dine in for the full experience. Coffee was good, strong. Staff service was fast and friendly. I'll return more times to support and try out other dishes on the menu 🥰

Came here for lunch two weekends in a row after enjoying it so much the first time. Small restaurant serving authentic Vietnamese food. They also serve some Chinese dishes, but stayed with the Vietnamese dishes. Same young lady served us both times and she was very friendly and efficient. Both times started off with the Vietnamese Egg rolls and Spring rolls. Also, had to get the Sugarcane juice as they actually had a Sugarcane juicer to extract the juice freshly. They have a few flavors you can add to your juice or drink it straight. For the meals, ordered different Banh Mi sandwiches. Although the meats varied, they were all delicious with the freshly baked and flaky bread. Everything was very good and authentic. Will be back for one of the few authentic Vietnamese restaurants in San Antonio.

##Previous owner, where are you now? visited 9/17/25 Heads up this place is under new management. We did speak with the owner, supposedly they are known for their pho. I am hoping for the best, but the eggroll has changed significantly. It is still good but not the previous good, but I would still get it. ------------------------------- Overall, this place is a solid 3.5 but 3.5 isn't an option I'll give a 4 for now. Been to this place twice now. Beef pho is good didn't feel any MSG affect, but I would avoid eating pho especially when its triple digits outside and their A/C couldn't handle cooling the place down. 3.5 star for the pho. On the 2nd visit ordered the fried eggroll with vermicelli. The eggroll to thin wrap and the filling was on point. I'd say a solid 3.5 the water down fish sauce was lacking the umph. The banh mi with jambon was good but for the price they need to add a little more meat to it. Give it a good dash of the soy sauce and it's a solid 3.5. Would I come again, for sure. I think some of these minor fixes would make this place a diamond in the rough. I think if you want to introduce people to fish sauce do it right IMO. Of all the Vietnamese place I have visit this one I've enjoyed the most. ----------------------------- I visited this place today 5/21 I ordered the bun with pork and eggroll, just the perfect amount of food for the famish. The eggrolls were light airy and crispy, I love how thin the wrap is, and the grill pork was awesome too. Now let's go back to the fish sauce it was ass kicking; they knocked it out of the park!!! Changing their rating to a 4. ----------------------------- 8/20/25 The fried spring rolls here is the best IMO. I order the usual like always.

I wanted to give a 5 star because the food was very delicious and service was really good but I went there specifically for a Bah Mi sandwich but they were sold out because they had a big order for some earlier in the day and it was very disappointing for me. But the Pho was made up for my disappointment, and my family was very pleased with the food. Plates are well served and the teas were really good. The staff was very friendly and Waitress was very attentive. Would definitely come back to try the bah mi.

The food was amazing!!! The spring rolls looked different but the tased exactly like what i was looking for. And the utensil station at the table was very convenient. The drinks were sooo good not too sweet just right and everything was fresh! The waitress was fast and friendly, the atmosphere was very relaxing and calm. The dining room was very clean. Waitress was very attentive we had multiple refills during our meal, she even asked about to go containers before we could. I will definitely dine here again soon. Went back a second time and the fried spring rolls were still good but the brisket pho was literally just super dry and a cinch of noodles, my husband had some spicy shrimp pad Thai, that made him sick all day.

I would have given a higher rating if the price was worth how much food we got. The beef banh mi was $8 and had no mayo or pate. It was just a dry piece of bread with some grilled meat and veggies. For that price I was also expecting a bigger bread but nope. It was tiny. The pho wasn’t too bad. Flavor was there. Decent amount of meat. But honestly after seeing the banh mi my appetite was gone. There was also barely any veggies given with the pho. Lastly, the bun ga nuong was also very small. Again for the price I’m paying it was low quality. There was barely any veggies and the fish sauce was too sweet. Not very impressed with this place. Especially after seeing other reviews.

I was hoping I would love this place. Sadly, it was a miss. The spring rolls were not the ones. They had fatty chicken or something in them. The flavor was sub-par.. The fried rice was basically like steamed rice pretty flavorless.. The orange chicken was not crispy at all and rather dry . The cheese puffs were good. The $7 fruit tea was good but not worth $7 bucks with all the ice. I will not be returning...
