Server Olivia was so thoughtful and efficient. As we started to sit she saw the freshly cleaned table was still a bit wet and promptly wiped it dry. She brought us a craft of coffee so we were set plus she gave us plenty of creamers in the exact kinds we asked for. Very very pleasant! Food was hot, plated appropriately and good. My husband and I dined in yesterday morning for some late breakfast and had the privilege of having Olivia as our server. She was very attentive, kind, and communicative. I got the fit slam, which was delicious, while my husband got the country fried steak breakfast that he devoured. We also shared a small stack of chocolate chip pancakes that absolutely hit the spot. I can honestly say when it comes to food, Denny’s is usually not my first pick when choosing to find somewhere to eat. But, we happened to be in the area at the time & I wanted to sit down with my son and grab some lunch. Carrie was our server and she was so kind & helpful towards us. My youngest son has autism, so she was very patient and understanding while taking our orders. It was such a relief to deal with service that was so understanding to our situation. She made sure we were comfortable and constantly checked on us to see if we needed anything. My son of course enjoyed his food & we were both happy with everything. I am a regular here at this location. At this Dennys, you will find superb service, notably Juan. He is heartwarming, welcoming, kind souled, passionate. The amazing service I receive every trip is astounding, they even have in store entertainment with an amazing claw machine. (worth it!) The food and drinks here our out of this world, try the strawberry banana smoothie! Best thing to drink in Monterey, and at good price. Every time in Dennys is a good time, as every time is a new experience. If you’re in Monterey, stop by Dennys, you won’t regret it.

The google reviews made me speculate if it was worth the visit but thought I would give it a try since we lived close by and I’m glad I wasn’t disappointed. We ordered the southwestern Benny breakfast and the pancakes. Both of them tasted really good. I suggest you all give this a try and don’t be disheartened by the low review score.

Came in late night. I have not been to Denny's in years. It was quiet, not busy at all. We were seated right away. The server was cool. Very laid back. I ordered the French toast. Wow what an experience I was so hungry this was the right place to come I didn't want the usual bacon and eggs. So my waitress Olivia suggest the Lumberjack slam, what a meal ham, bacon, sausage, hash browns, toast and pancakes, YUM! Although I wasn't interested in the pancakes, so Olivia suggested to up my pancakes to French Toast. I didn't know you could this, it was a little extra money but that was fine with me, it was worth it. My meal was the best ever. Thank you Oliva for this exceptional service I will be back for sure.

I want to give it a 5 star for the service provided by the GM, the waitress Maria not so good. She was rude and unfriendly. I told her if she could exchange some waffles because I am diabetic and they sprinkle them with powdered sugar, she ended up saying well its your fault for not telling me.. This was a very disappointing visit. Possibly because the restaurant physical area is large, and they had only two servers, the service was subpar. The server was difficult to reach and the food did not arrive in a timely manner. When the food did arrive, it was lukewarm which hints to it being left to wait on a counter for an extended period. The floor of the restaurant was wet and slippery. The bathroom was dirty. The dirt seemed to have been there for a long time. That dirt was not just the daily accumulation, but more like weeks accumulation in places.

Placed an order through their website to pick up after working all night, go immediately after work only to find them closed with one guy inside ignoring me when I was trying to see what was going on. Called the store a total of 6 times, with each time someone passing me to another number that just rang until it hung up until the 7th time, someone finally told me there are no managers at night. This level of service is unacceptable and I will never eat at this location again, the lack of respect toward customers is unacceptable. And now I have to be hungry all night after not eating after 12 noon because of their egregious negligence. Not even a chance to correct it if the location doesn't answer the phone.

I waited over 30 mins for someone to even come to my table and i told him i had been waiting and wanted to order something else and he said, "its ok" then walked away and didnt come back. 10 mins later and im having to flag the other guy down so i can finally order. 40+ minutes just tor order one more item. The service here is terrible. They dont even care that you waited forever. There needs to be better management. When i worked at Denny's my managers would never have allowed us to treat customers that way.

The waiter kept getting things wrong. To begin with he didn't bring us our drinks. We wanted seasoned fries as a substitute but he brought regular fries and then tried to charge us for the extra seasoned fries he brought to us. My biscuit and gravy did not have enough gravy which made it dry. My girlfriend's omelette didn't have bacon on it but the picture showed it with bacon. And all the food was just on the plate nothing special

One of my daughters was dining this evening with her classmates. I asked her to order a big nachos. When she arrived t home with the food, we were sad to see how little there was and not all the ingredients. While we mixed the food around hoping to see the rest of the ingredients in the bottom; our surprise was even devastating. We found a huge napkin within the food. I have called the store four times; the first two people told me to wait but the call dropped every time. I requested to speak with a manager but nothing! This is extremely disgusting and unsanitary. Our stomachs are hurting (unfortunately we took a couple of bites before we found the napkin. Honestly, our serving looks like it was made of leftovers from other customers! I wanted to post a video of my serving but it looks like this website won’t allow me!
