Mosquito Cafe Galveston Reviews
My goodness the food was absolutely killer! The atmosphere was quite fantastic, but also very crowded, but for good reason! I had the Nancy bet c, and it was so creamy, delicious, and incredibly flavorful! I would highly recommend it as a breakfast / lunch diner location with a lot of options, even including delicious looking pastries!
When we first entered, we were greeted by Turtle and he told us how the restaurant worked. We ordered our food and we were not disappointed. Very yummy breakfast. I had the bacon omelette and there was plenty to go around. The fresh fruit was delicious. Nice strong coffee. Don’t be thrown off by the name of this place. The food is 10/10
This was our first time to Mosquito Cafe as a recommendation from one of our friends. This place did not disappoint! The food was excellent, and the attention to detail with the high-quality ingredients was spot on. The menu had many great options, from vegan to free-range meats. My wife says the coconut curry soup was the best she has ever had. Highly recommended!
We stopped here for breakfast/brunch and were very pleased with the whole experience. The food was really good but what really blew us away is the customer service. The inside is pretty small but they made an effort to find everyone a table even before your ordered. I had a bacon omelette and for the first time in my life an omelette actually had real slices of bacon 🥓. Thick bacon too not that paper thin ihop stuff. Oh, and the mimosas had the perfect mix of juice and wine. 🍷 we will be back in a couple of months for sure
1st time to this restaurant in Galveston. Wide variety & unique choice of foods. Everything was prepared fresh and pretty fast. It wasn't busy on a Tuesday afternoon. Staff was kind. The parking outside is a little awkward if you have a large car but the restaurant is worth a visit.
We were told about this place through a Friend. They mentioned it was delicious, so we decided to give it a try. I ordered the Mosquito which was eggs Benedict over a delicious scone with asparagus and artichokes, their hollandaise sauce was so good along with their eggs and the side apple salad with this delicious cream. I also had a Mango Nectur Mimosa. I tried their Fudge brownie that was also, oh so good. I most definitely will go back. The atmosphere had a NOLA feel and everyone was very friendly.
The breakfast here is amazing! I had the Bacon Cheddar omelet, and it was prepared to perfection! The bacon was crisp, the eggs light and perfectly cooked, just enough cheese to make the meal! Potatoes were diced and had just the right amount of crunch. Restaurant was clean and well layer out. Great service with a friendly smile! A must visit when in Galveston.
Delicious food! I’ve had the crab Benedict, and The Nancy Bet-C which I actually liked better. My husband had the shrimp and cheese grits and oh my gosh the cheese grits were so delicious I will get those next time as a side because the potatoes were bland and chewy kind like they were old, they weren’t fresh and crispy or seasoned. Coffee was great, came in two roasts and I even got a day old discounted blueberry muffin that was still moist and yummy.

Loved the food and such a cute place! I'm from out of town and this cafe was suggested by a friend. Did not disappoint!
This place is amazing. My fiance and I thought the other breakfast spot about 100 yards away from here was great, but this place is even better. We both had the bacon & cheese omelette and thought …

Excellent brunch spot. I've visited a couple times over the last couple years. Service is always friendly and accommodating. There is a comfortable, laid back atmosphere. Most importantly, the food…
A great local cafe with lots of charm. Menu is full of sandwiches, salads, tacos and burgers. Brunch closes at 2. They also have wine. (2 people-no drinks-$30 w tip) Tried the pesto pasta and shrimp tacos and they were both good! The pesto pasta was more of a salad and the tacos were a bit simple but satisfying. The patio was nice and spacious and people even brought their dogs.
It was good for what it is, but it didn’t excite us at all. Vegan Review: We brought our dog and sat in their outdoor area. My husband and I each got the breakfast bowl. I altered mine to make it Vegan. I realize that changes the menu item. They kept the breakfast potatoes and sautéed spinach, then replaced everything else with mushrooms, artichoke hearts, sun dried tomatoes, asparagus, and avocado. I was happy. None of it had much flavor but we poured hot sauce all over the top and liked it. My husband shrugged that his regular bowl was fine.
On a sunny Saturday morning, we ventured to this cozy spot for a hearty breakfast. Upon entry, we were promptly greeted with a breakfast menu and joined the orderly queue to place our orders. Once done, we were left to find our preferred spot either indoors or on the inviting patio. Given the bustling morning rush and the sweltering humidity outside, we kept our hopes up for an indoor table, which we fortunately snagged. However, to our dismay, the indoor temperature mirrored the outdoor heat, slightly detracting from our dining experience. Yet, this minor setback was overshadowed by the attentive and friendly service throughout. I opted for the classic Huevos Rancheros while my DH indulged in The Nancy Bet-C (Betsy). Both dishes were impressed with their flavorful execution, accompanied by perfectly roasted potatoes.
Food was absolutely delicious! We would definitely go back when we head down to Galveston. Be aware that you order at the counter and hope to find an open table. We ate around 9:30. The line was out the door(good sign for good food) which also meant waiting in the heat while the line moved. But as I said, we will definitely go back!!!

Stopped in for breakfast on a Saturday and the place was PACKED. I'd wager that speaks to consistent quality that people enjoy. The menu was fairly carb heavy, but there were appealing options. The prices are higher than I'd expect, but it is what it is. I paid just over $100 for a group of four (2 adults, 1 teen, 1 kid). The service was solid. Lots of smiling faces and positive attitudes. They got the food out quickly too. The venue feels small and cramped when a lot of people are there, but they also have outside seating. If you sit outside be mindful of flies. I don't think I'd go back to this place, given the prices, but it was worth the shot.
Food was good, atmosphere was nice, but way overpriced for what you get. People were nice, I just can't get around the prices.

The overall setup of service for this place is very illogical. Servers can't find the numbers on table since the place is overcrowded and walk around with your food for 5 minutes, resulting in cold…
