Torchy's Tacos Irving Reviews
While traveling for work I was looking for something new that I don’t have at home. Tacos sounded great so I figured I’d give Torchy’s a try. The food is excellent and quick. Serving sizes are huge. I got the Trailer Park served trashy style as well as the republican. Both were above expectations. Probably could have gotten away with just one. I also got the Hillbilly Queso with chips. Let’s just say it’s a dancing plethora of meat and cheese on the palette. Will definitely try Torchy’s again the next time I’m in the area.
Great food, friendly staff (Bryce is the best), and now they have Pepsi products. The modern vibe is fun, the bar looks great (I don’t drink so look elsewhere for a review on the drinks). The locale is clean and neat except for the outdoor tables. The outdoor area is very nice but none of the tables were not wiped down.
Delicious quirky tacos with amazingly cool ambiance. This place will cater to any dietary restrictions and has a wide variety of options to satisfy even the most picky palets. Being a friend and come early because the lines tend to be long around lunch time and dinner. I came at 11am and we avoided the long line that went past the entrance at about 12pm.
UPDATE 4/5/2022 Still love Torchy's! The service at this location is always good - friendly staff for sure! My husband and I come here a couple of times a month but it's definitely ALWAYS our first stop when we get back into town from any vacation or weekend away. ***** Love this place! Amazing tacos and queso. I get a side of their pickled onions to put with the queso... probs sounds weird but I love it. I always order the Baja Shrimp taco on flour. My husband gets the Republican. And then we typically split the taco of the month since we're usually pretty full after eating allll the chips + queso. (Hands down my favorite queso) ***** Reviews of Tacos of the Month JAN 2022 - The Midnight Cowboy Seasoned ground beef, potatoes, pickled onions, sour cream, jack cheese and cilantro with diablo sauce on Tandem Tortilla (crisp corn tortilla inside a flour tortilla) FEB 2022 - The Scallywag 👍 Coconut-battered shrimp, bacon, green chiles, pickled onions, jack cheese, cilantro and scratch-made peach habanero jam on a flour tortilla My absolute favorite taco! Coconut battered shrimp gives the taco a hint of sweetness that pairs so perfectly with the peach habanero jam, green chiles, and pickled onions! (I secretly wish it was on the menu permanently!) MAR 2022 - The Roscoe 👎 Fried chicken, crispy waffle, fried egg and bacon with maple syrup on a flour tortilla I always skip out on this one. I love a good carb but the waffle AND tortilla seem like too much for me. Maybe if the waffle was like 1/3 the thickness I'd be more interested in trying it... APR 2022 - The Tokyo Drifter 👍 Teriyaki glazed pulled pork, fried wonton strips, sweet & sour veggie slaw, sesame sriracha mayo and cilantro on a flour tortilla Very tasty! It has a hint of sweetness from the teriyaki pulled pork that is balanced out with the sriracha mayo. One of my top faves! MAY 2022 - The Cougar 👍 Smoked beef brisket, corn relish, guajillo onion strings, BBQ sauce, chipotle sauce and cilantro on a flour tortilla This one was really good! I just wish there was a bit more kick to it with something spicy. JUN 2022 - The Chili Wagon

Damn Good Tacos? O yes, good delicious tacos but the experience and service is what keeps me/us coming management and staff, they welcome you and greet you. We personally usually like to go to the bar and catch a game, and grab something to eat. With drinks or not even the drinks made by Jordan and the other bar tenders are pretty darn good, you can’t go wrong with coming to this location, the food is fresh and delicious. You will leave happy and satisfied!!!!!!
Wife had a day off and both kids were at different events, so we decided to have a breakfast date. We are huge Torchy's fans, but we have never had their breakfast. My wife had 2 migas tacos and I had a potato, egg and cheese and a chorizo, egg and cheese. The tacos were amazing and the prices matched the flavor, amount of food and quality. While we live their lunch and dinner tacos, we will definitely be back for breakfast again soon!
Pypurr was amazing. This was my first time at this location ABs I will definitely be coming back. Now I see why my daughter and friends love this location!!
Oh Torchy's, you make 🌮 Tuesday oh so tasty!! ❤️ I have been to many of their locations, today was my first trip to the one in Irving. When I walked in I was the only one here which was really strange but I guess it was a tad early. I liked the styling that they did, the bar was centrally located and has some really fun hexagon tiles, they also carried that over in an accent wall by the order desk. Lots of Sputnik light fixtures. The servers were all extremely friendly and checked on me multiple times. I ordered the taco of the month Mofaux (but some regular fajita meat instead of the faux stuff they had going on) a half order of chips and queso and some street corn. Everything was extremely tasty as always. That diablo sauce don't play. 🔥 Love you Torchy's, thanks for the taco realness. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I dined in here as part of a meet up. And I am a fan since then. Great food! Great service! Great ambience!
Had a great experience at this Torchy's location yesterday! The food was delicious, and the service was fantastic. Jose Torres was especially friendly and attentive to our table, making sure we had everything we needed. Big thank you to him for a wonderful experience!
Heard the margaritas were good, so you know I had to try them out. Lime and strawberry were on point! Chips and Queso, amazing! I ordered chicken fajita and it was so big and there was so much flavor. (They also have a secret menu at the register) I ordered off the secret menu but I can’t remember which one I got but that one was good as well. Customer service was great, everyone was friendly and helpful. 10/10!!
Torchy's Tacos is a Texas delight! The Airstream salad and Hillbilly Queso and Chips were delicious 😋. The staff were super nice and accommodating. The music was kind of loud, and I felt like I was in a club. Some of the tables could use a good wiping down. Other than that, I had an enjoyable dining experience at Torchy's Tacos in beautiful Las Colinas.
Food was delicious! Hubby got the burrito bowl, I had the monthly special, a buffalo chicken taco. The chorizo queso was also amazing. The young man working the register was incredibly friendly & helpful with ordering since it was our first visit. Can’t wait to make it back to Torchy’s on our next trip to TX.
This was an amazing experience. The food was unbelievable. We ordered breakfast and lunch. The queso was amazing. So was the poblano salsa. It has a spicy ranch feel. The chips were so fresh. Laura was so helpful and explained so much to us as this was our first time. The prices are very reasonable. We left full and had leftovers. Would definitely come back!!!
First time trying this place and it was SO GOOD!! The hillbilly queso was devine! Chefs kiss!! The Hogfather was one of the best tacos I have ever had! Pyper was incredibly helpful! She was patient as my sister and I tried to decide what to eat and she definitely knew what to reccomend to us. Can't wait to eat here again and I haven't even left yet! Pyper is the sweetest!
Trashy Trailer Park taco with lettuce: Bold flavors fit well together. Great sauce, really recommended. Fast service. Inexpensive: 2 tacos would mean leftovers. They have free carbonated water.
It’s my first time to this special Taco restaurant. My cousin suggested chicken Fajita and Baja Shrimp. Both are excellent in their own way of unique style. Mimosa also fine but could be better. Dining experience and table service is super. Definitely refer this for best and tasty tacos and eager to visit again.
Best tacos ever!! My boyfriend and I were only in Texas visiting for 2 days, and Torchys was so good the first day we had to go back the next day. So inexpensive, but such good food!
First time of Torchy's, recommended by a friend and boy he did not disappoint! The area is clean, well kept, and spacious with a modern feel to it. As a first time customer, my family and I were greeted by Bryce at the front where he walked us through the process and specials that they had, which was greatly appreciated. Definitely felt a welcoming atmosphere here. I had the chicken fajita, trailer park, and wrangler and I was extremely happy with the quality and ingredients mixed in. The service was great and Bryce made sure if there was anything we needed. If you are ever around the area and eat here, Bryce will take care of ya! Hope y'all enjoy!!
The food and atmosphere are just perfect. The food was absolutely delicious, the facilities were clean, and the staff were very friendly and quick. This is the perfect spot for a quick lunch, a break from work, or to just hang with some friends and enjoy some tacos. I would highly recommend this location. Enjoy! 🔥 💯
Torchy’s is an amazing taco spot in the DFW area! The menu offers a wide variety of options (along with some not-so-secret customizations), catering to any dietary restrictions. Individual tacos are $4-$6, so meals can get expensive quickly. This location is one of the newer/more modern locations, with a lot of proximity to corporations nearby, so expect weekday lunch to be busier than normal. Service is excellent, so long lines near the front move quickly and the food comes out equally as fast. While there are many indoor/outdoor places to sit, seating larger parties (5/6+ people) may be difficult during busy hours. There are two entrances into the restaurant, one for dine-in and one for to-go orders on the side (useful for Doordashers/food runners); use the side door to avoid delays picking up food during peak hours. Free parking is readily available nearby and immediate access to highways makes it easy to get in and out. The only negative takeaway is that the bathrooms look like they’ve seen better days and could be cleaner. If you’re looking for a solid taco place, make sure to stop by this Torchy’s Tacos!
Great service & Great food as always! We absolutely loved the cashier who helped us but I can't remember his name and not too sure what I did with my receipt, so I apologize for not being able to put his name on this review. Yes the food was 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 all the way but that cashier is what will keep us coming back for those awesome 🌮s. If Torchy's is reading this the gentleman y'all had working the register on Tuesday (4/2/19) evening at about 8:20pm-ish @ 7855 Los Colinas Ridge ➡️ HANDS DOWN THE BEST EMPLOYEE WE'VE EVER SEEN while out on date night/taco Tuesday. We've seen a lot employee's during our dates all around the DFW area and most are good but are still missing something. We found it with your employee so thanks for the best Torchy's experience.
I stopped in based on the recommendation from a local. Loved it. I had the fried avocado and beef fajita tacos; both were delicious. Two tacos is about the minimum for a solid meal, and there are about a dozen options. I definitely plan to tell some of the other options when I return to the area. Combined, my two taco meal was about $12. There is plenty of seating inside and outside. Food is brought to you when it's ready. For other outsiders like me, Torchy's is a chain with several locations throughout the Metroplex.
I love coming to Torchys in Las Colinas! Our cashier Pypurr is so helpful and gave great customer service. She’s usually at the bar when we come, hope to see her there soon she’s amazing at it!
Trying to figure out a new town, a different area… it’s beyond stressful. Torchy’s was less than a mile away. And, the chick on a random Friday night, slightly after 8PM… the ABSOLUTE BEST!! I didn’t know anything about the menu, I’m as obnoxiously picky as they come, I probs chat too much… Kacee P. was perfection; AND, she did the same for every other patron. Food: 7/10. Kacee P.: 16/10. Thank you for the experience.❤️
I visited Torchy's on a Sunday evening and had a pretty good experience. The restaurant was empty when I arrived, so the atmosphere was pretty quiet. It was pretty cold inside and it felt really good coming in from a hot day. I ordered the fajita taco, and it was seriously good. Definitely my favorite part of the meal. The flavors were on point, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a tasty taco. The food took longer to come out than I expected, but once it arrived, I could tell it was worth the wait. The prices were a little higher than I'd anticipated for a taco, but the quality made it worth it. Overall, I’d go back for that fajita taco!
Experience was great. It’s one of my favourite place to hang out. Cashier/waiter Afifa, she was so kind and helpful with my orders. I love to visit this place often
Torchy's is a great place to visit if you are in a mood for some delicious tacos. I go there on a regular basis because I enjoy it. The atmosphere is calm and you have the option of eating inside or outside. One has the option of selecting a flour tortilla from there menu instead of a regular hard Taco. I recommend the flour tortilla because they give a good amount of meat and vegetables with each serving. Additionally for a dollar or two more, you can upgrade and add more ingredients to your tacos. And if you are in a mood for breakfast, they serve breakfast style tacos all day. There dessert menu doesn't have a lot of variety but they make up for it in taste. Torchy's is a great place for breakfast, brunch or dinner. This particular Torchy's is located in the Las Colinas area. There is also a bar inside, in case you would like do drink a few cold brews with your tacos. I would definitely recommend giving Torchy's a try if you haven't been!
As a former Texas resident and recently from Utah, I have pretty high standards of what makes a good taco. Amazing Tacos in a kind of TexMex style. Lots of flavors and styles of tacos. Did not have anything that we didn't simply enjoy. They have plenty of seats you can pick. You can even sit in the bar area. I highly recommend this place.
No one can beat the flavor, ambience and service of this place at the price they offer. I am a vegetarian and I had fried avocado and independent taco along with street corn, chips and queso... it was super filling and everything was super amazing in taste. I am sure that everyone else in my group enjoyed it too! We were a group of 7 and it was a busy time of the day but our order came in less than 10 minutes of wait.. I personally liked the flour tortilla more than corn. Kudos to the staff for the great service and creating a wonderful experience!
Pypurr is a fantastic bar tender and every single time we come in here she takes incredible care of us. She is also really good with all the other customers and does a phenomenal job of practicing hospitality. Not only do we love coming to this particular Torchy’s, but she is such a big reason that we continue to come back and sit at the bar. We are thankful and spoiled to live near one of the best Torchy‘s in the DFW metroplex!
Oh my god when I tell you I’ve never written a review before I am so serious. I had to take the time out of my day to write this one because the service was just that good! Afifa took my order and she was so sweet, she is the nicest employee I’ve ever come across. The food i ordered was amazing best tacos ever!!! I recommend everyone to come to this resturant and try their delicious food and hopefully get amazing customer service like I did by Afifa. 😊
Our group of six came in with the kind of complicated order that usually makes people in the restaurant industry rethink their life choices. Grace handled it like a total pro, calm and unbothered, like she designed the whole thing. Alex brought out our food perfectly. Every single item was right, which is wild because I can barely order for myself without messing something up. Bri was amazing. She checked on us, made sure everything was great, and kept the whole place running like she had it all under control. If I were on Undercover Boss, I would give all three of them anything I possibly could. This team is incredible. Thanks for making a positive impact on this trip 💖
Haven’t been to Torchys in a minute and this experience did not disappoint! We sat at the bar and Victoria was the server/bartender. She was great, super friendly and attentive. She assured me I was not crazy when I thought the Republican used to be a different taco (it was)! We had some great drinks and food and enjoyed a chill Saturday night at the bar. IMO the bar at Torchys is underrated, it’s always my favorite place to sit and get great service!
Torchy’s has always been our go to place for Tacos however never wrote a review. So finally, here it js. 5 star. The tacos and the sauces are the best at this price. Their cocktails are good so is their sides and queso. I never get tired of being here. My favorite is the Baja Shrimp Taco.
Tried Torchy’s Tacos recently and overall, it was a really yummy experience! The Trio Dip (queso, guac, and salsa) was a definite highlight—super flavorful and perfect for sharing. That said, I really wish the queso had been hotter. It was barely warm, which was kind of a letdown because a hot queso just hits differently. I got the veggie bowl, and it was delicious—fresh ingredients and great flavor. The portion was on the smaller side, but the quality made up for it. The atmosphere was great—casual vibes—and the staff were friendly and welcoming. Definitely a spot I’d go back to.
Love this place. Great service and amazing food. Queso dip is very good and I love their chips. Options to get a taco in a bowl is perfect when I don't want the shell.

Fast, clean, great service!! Laura was the best with some great recommendations and simplifying the menu! Definitely recommend visiting
The food is great. It is reasonably priced. There is a good ambience. The staff is friendly. In particular, Eli has gone above and beyond. \n\nI typically get fajita tacos.
Loved the food and atmosphere of the restaurant. Service was great! Make sure to get yourself a Trailer Park and make it Trashy.

One of the best non authentic Mexican food spots, yeah it’s mainstream but I’ve never had anything that wasn’t good
Not really a fair review of the food for I'm just not into spicy. All the food is great. My son also has a difficult time finding something he likes here since he's just not into spicy. Good service? Order line moves fast! I appreciated the manager jumping into to take orders as well.
Food was great, they have a nice patio! If you are new to Torchy's, I recommend the Trailer Park tacos! If you are indecisive, get a reliable breakfast taco on the side (2-5 tacos is a good range)! Service is great! I think making sure the place is consistently cleaned would push this yo a 5 star review tbh. Other than that, they also have a bar and TVs!
Very delicious tacos! Has good dining space with take out option as well. They also have a bar area where we can hangout. Chips and salsa taste really good. Service was good. They also have a vegetarian taco, chips and guac and street corn as well. Corn was not up to the mark but it taste good with sauces. Overall we can definitely try different tacos!
The tacos are still good but not as good as it used to when we first tried them, when Torchy's opened in the Highlands shopping center in Arlington a few years ago. We used to eat there almost every week. But the ones in Mansfield and Irving just don't seem to be as good. Take out orders are wrong, or barely have any of what should be on them... Their queso is still great at all locations.
This was my first experience and I wasn't there long. I ordered ONE taco and the service was nice and fast. That ONE taco was good. I gave it 4 stars because I didn't get a chance to try more due to my time constraint. However, I considered returning. 4 stars is great considering I only had ONE taco. The atmosphere was nice, staff was nice, and service was quick. If the Owner disapprove my 4 stars then no problem I don't have to return.
Great little spot. Interesting, you go in and order off of a pop-up menu. Be warned that the tacos look about three times the size they actually are, but they're not that expensive so order a couple. Tacos were delicious. They would do well to bring out a couple separate plates with share items like the queso and chips.

Torchy's Tacos is a great place to go taco's, queso and drinks . The atmosphere is excellent and welcoming.
Torchys has great queso and chips, however to my taste I find their tacos overly complicated and meats not particularly tender. For my money there are better Mexican restaurants almost always available, however Torchys has its fans and is very consistent which is no different for this location.
The lighting is dim. Not very inviting. The service was OK. This is the first Torchy's location I've been disappointed with the food. Tortillas had not been warmed. Queso was luke warm, as was the meat on the tacos. I could expect an off day at a busy location, they however were not busy.
Good service in a nice atmosphere that delivers way over-priced, mediocre, thrown-together tacos that simply don't live up to hopeful expectations or the price paid. But it's definitely better than Taco Bell!! (for 5x the cost).
Food is great, but not a fan of the new order kiosks. They do not work well at all and are quite confusing even for people familiar with technology. Nobody wants to use these and it only serves to show down the line.
This location has lots of patio seating which I had the pleasure of enjoying when I went. When looking at the menu, I was a little confused as to how many tacos would be given solely based on what I saw. The reason I was confused was because the price point per taco was rather expensive, anywhere from 4 to 7 per taco. The girl at the counter taking orders was curt and rather rude but our waiter was sweet and kind. I ordered the vegetarian tacos (pictured), chips and guac, and the street corn. My friend ordered the vegetarian burrito (pictured). The vegan taco meat was entirely too salty. The chips were fresh, as well as the guacamole. The chipotle sauce was flavorful and had a slight kick. Portion size was on the larger size, which I'd expect for the price point. The burrito by far was the best bang for your buck. It was flavorful and large for the price. My biggest disappointment was the street corn (pictured). The corn was clearly canned and way too salty! They had fake roast marks (to me, I couldn't taste the grilled or roasted flavor at all). It was severely disappointing and we had to send it back . Overall, pretty alright tacos and chips. Expensive for what it is.
This is place has a hip vibe and great decor. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The food is pretty good as well, but the value isn't there. I spent $20 for 3 tacos, chips, and fountain drink (fried chicken/trailer park, green chili pork, bbq beef/crossroads). The one with the avocado (crossroads) was my favorite. Fairly pricy for a quick lunch. I would give a higher rating but my expectations rise for the cost of the meal.
The crossroads Taco was a disappointment. The brisket was dry and for some reason they put a chunk of avocado on the taco. I think slicing it a little thinner and putting two or three pieces along the length of the taco would be the way to go there. The sauces do a lot of the heavy lifting on flavor here. The tomatillo sauce is excellent, but the fajita chicken taco was bland. The bright spot was the trailer park taco which has nicely seasoned fried chicken. The green chile queso was also good.
Really amazing service service from the counter to bringing out the food. Other than that the tacos are overpriced and just ok. Maybe someone could steer me the right way. I ordered the brushfire t…
I’ve had great coffee at many other Torchy’s. Staff at this one informed me they no longer have coffee at this location. Surprised that they are open for breakfast without coffee.

While there was nothing wrong with the food the couple of times I’ve been here, my concern is the lack of acceptable sanitation practices of the bartenders. I observed a bartender graze her hair, and then proceed to pick out mint leaves and then put them into a drink without washing her hands. Not to mention she had handled receipts and everything else prior to the grazing of her hair and did not wash her hands once. The icing on the cake was her grabbing the top of a straw and putting it into a drink. This made me change my mind about ordering. Is this standard practice? Germs are too easily spread to be this lax.
Decent service at the restaurant while ordering food to-go. The server was nice and helpful. However the food that I ordered was just absurdly heavy on green and red peppers 🫑. Ordered a Veggie Burrito 🌯 and each bite had many peppers. I like peppers but in moderation. Then I dip my chip in the queso 🫕, and more green peppers! All I could taste was the peppers in my entire meal. It was an odd experience.
Neither the tables nor the place is clean. The front desk isle, fountain area were dirty too. I've been with couple people and we have ordered different varieties of Tacos. When the Tacos arrived they were so cold and the my tortillas were hard. Queso is at it's best. I would recommend Queso with chips for appetizer. We tried all of their sauces and every sauce tasted different and would recommend all of them.

The place was filthy. The worst margaritas in Dallas exchanged my margaritas for grey goose vodka/soda. Needs a lot of work. There are many better places to go in the area
Bartender named Casey literally left me sitting there 15 mins because she was talking to other customers, not making drinks . She did turn around and seen me sitting there. No customer service. There was no one else at the bar. I had to go get someone that was working in the back to come up and make a drink for me. There was no one at the bar horrible horrible customer service. I live in this area and I paid taxes in this area and I think it’s very important to be attentive to all customers..
Does Torchys even cook to order anymore? I ordered Queso that came out stone cold. Brushfire taco came out after 2 minutes of ordering. Chicken was like a brick! Sitting probably in a bucket all day long. This place has gone downhill! I don’t know how you managed to keep a 4.7 rating? The first time I thought was a fluke. I decided on a second chance, because the food used to be freshly prepared. I was wrong. They probably batch cook their food and let it sit all day not caring what they serve. Might as well consider Torchys fast food, the food came out faster than ordering at McDonald’s. What happened to standards?
This is specific to this location only and is focused on the customer service of one employee. I ordered food with the cashier who was great, I got the food which is ALWAYS great but then I asked for two pico de gallos and two other salsas from the person who brings the food who I believe is the manager. She returns with 1 pico de gallo and the other 2 salsas. She then proceeds to tell me pico is considered a garnish and next time I would have to be charged and they have had this conversation with me before. I then say I contacted customer service about this and then I say “Can I show you?” twice as she walks away from me and says “No”. For reference I wanted to show her an email where I ask specifically about how many pico de gallo (AKA - Salsa Fresca) and salsas I can have and the response from Torchy’s customer is as many as I request but I typically only ask for two salsa per item. See their response verbatim below: “A Damn Good guest experience is important to us, and we know how delicious these sauces are to pair with your tacos.” Based on this email chain I thought I was asking for something reasonable. This experience ruin my appetite and if I was not with my children I would have left. I don’t have this issue at any other Torchy’s I go to but this one occasionally gives me issues and I have trepidation coming here every time since to don’t know what I will encounter. If I didn’t live in Irving I would not go to this location. In summary… Food - 5 stars Cashier - 5 stars Torchy’s Corporate Customer Service - 5 stars Torchy’s Las Colinas Manager - Negative stars…if only that was an option
