Short Stack totally lived up to its name! I tried the crepes, steak and eggs, and pancakes everything was fresh, flavorful, and cooked just right. The crepes were light and perfectly filled, the steak was tender and nicely seasoned, and the pancakes were fluffy with a touch of sweetness. Service was quick and friendly too. A great spot for a hearty breakfast or brunch!

A group of 7 of us went here. They didn't seat us until everyone was there. After seating, Brittney, our server was very attentive. Drinks came out quickly. Order was taken in a timely fashion and everything came our correctly. Food was great. Everyone said their food was good. I tried the casserole and it was so gooey and yummy. The grits were cooked to the right consistency. Eggs were cooked to order. Sausage gravy with biscuits was so good! The upchange for substituted items were also within reasons. I sampled some chocolate chip pancakes, blueberry pancakes, fries, and tuna salad sandwich on white bread. Delicious! The atmosphere was lively and loud. Felt like a big get together ❤. On top of that, all the staff were very accommodating, kind, and friendly. Definitely will come back. Thank you for providing a nice place to dine at.

Great place for breakfast! Very light and airy decor, just right. Service was excellent ... Kimberly was friendly, efficient, and has a great sense of humor! The food was great, portions were generous and very tasty. I had the Cajun Breakfast with a biscuit. Very nice presentation and, well, the taste was great. Lots of parking and easy access. If I still lived in Wellington, I would be here at least once per week. Go and enjoy ... You will not be disappointed.

Great food and engaging, friendly staff. Inside is clean and cool. Outside is away from the foot traffic. Our server Julia was sweet and funny and patient when we couldn’t decide where to sit.

Since i walked i got the biggest smile from the host, great customer service, food was delicious, i got the banana and strawberry with Nutella Crepres and i got me a second plate which was steak and eggs everything was delicious. 10/10 I highly recommend it 🙌🏼

This place is a hidden gem and the food is outstanding. But what makes the experience better is the awesome staff. Ms. Annie and Lynne were fantastic and ensured everything was perfect. I ordered the Ms. Annie and had the best cinnamon roll French toast I have ever had. Highly recommend! Thank you!

Found this little place by accident and love it. So many things to choose from on the menu, it was hard to decide. I went with the French toast and omg, the plate was so full. It was totally delish and I couldn't finish it cuz there was so much. I will definitely come back to try something else on the menu for sure. The staff were very friendly. Great little place for breakfast...will try the lunch options next time.

I tried this place for the first time a couple days ago. Great breakfast place in Wellington! Prices are not bad and the serving size is good too. The servers were all really friendly. It has a very local feel to it. The place is big but can get busy around peak hours so there may be wait around that time. I believe they do take reservations for large parties. Anyways, I ordered the corn beef hash which is better than a couple places I tried in this area. It’s not salty and is slightly crunchy. My scrambled eggs were good too! The only thing I would say is the hash browns are not the shredded kind like in some breakfast places but it’s alright. One of my friends ordered the steak and eggs dish which I tried and was also good. It was not burnt or overcooked. Overall this is a good place to at least check out if you’re in the wellington area and looking for a breakfast spot! 💯%+++ would recommend!

Was $5.25 for one sausage link. That's a little steep. I thought would of been a couple of them. Better off getting the combo meal that's comes with a bunch of stuff. The hash browns are really tater tots. The containers the sides came in melted together due to the heat from the food so was hard to open. They do have a large menu though. Would eat there again. Will eat in person next time.

We had not been to Short Stacks in quite awhile, but wanted a quick breakfast while out running around. Greeted quickly and sat in a booth, drink order taken and served timely. The table was a bit sticky as if it may have been wiped with a heavy dose of syrup from the guests before, leaving the fresh place mats stuck to the table. Our order was taken by our server Lynn who was sweet and efficient, a short stack of pancakes with whipped cream, and scrambled eggs with bacon, hash browns and toast. The food came out in a short time and served with a smile. As far as the food, ehhhhh, mediocre I'd say. Honestly, the scrambled eggs felt old and over cooked, like they were not cooked fresh to order, not hot as one might hope. The hash browns also not to a nice serving temp as one would expect, scooped out of a pan and served. The bacon just ok. The pancakes....just ok, not hot and fluffy like some others I have has in other places like this. Given the choices in Wellington I would choose Gabriel's, but for a place in the bigger area of similar offerings Gun Club Cafe will always be the winner when it comes to food, feel, and consistency!! UPDATE To the "Owner" I give honest reviews sir/madam. What competitor are you speaking of? Instead of acknowledging you missed the mark today and reading an honest review, you want to say I was sent there for some reason other than to have a decent breakfast. Your reaction and accusation seems to indicate you have a problem with some un-named competitor, and a lack of accepting an honest review of your establishment!! Good day!!

Edit to add: The response for an email is not quicker than a phone call would be… I emailed before I gave a review to try and resolve and I still haven’t gotten a response but happy you can reply here! Not to mention Uber has nothing to do with your employee not putting food in the bag and ensuring it’s correct and also no Nutella in the Nutella crepes. As a manager at Costco myself, I’m disappointed in your response. Missing food from my order and I can’t even call and get a hold of someone since it’s automated and telling me I can only email someone which is ridiculous considering I just spent $60. Ordered the Nutella crepes, with not an ounce of Nutella in them just chocolate syrup, which are disgusting and soggy— I have gotten these in the past and they had actual Nutella in them. My husband’s biscuits and gravy, came with no gravy.

I placed an order through DoorDash yesterday & received MOLDY food. I ordered a Ms. Annie with scrambled eggs and sausage links. The eggs, sausage, and home fries were fine. When I took a bite of my cinnamon roll, I immediately knew it was bad. Stale & somewhat odd tasting. I looked down & realized it had MOLD in it. Absolutely disgusting, and impossible to miss when looking at the top of it. I'm so disgusted that they would send this order out. When I called to share my concerns with management (Amber), she was extremely rude to me. "This is the worst time for you to call, can you speed it up? What do you need?" When I informed her she was serving moldy food she said "Well that's never happened before" which I find very hard to believe...Very unfortunate as the rest of my meal was not bad.

Its been some time since I've visited Short Stacks, and it has fallen pretty hard. Our party was excited to order two of their specials: the buffalo chicken sandwich and the oreo pancakes. The chicken sandwich came out first, 10 minutes earlier than the pancakes. For the sandwich plate, the fries were cold. Not warm, cold and unsalted. It was as if they were cooked the day before and were out of the fridge. The red onions were wilted, clearly cut days before - rubbery at best. The lettuce was not fresh, like a wet band aid. After waiting for the second plate to come out, I found out the bun was completely stale (not toasted, stale). The last straw the chicken was tough. I found that difficult to understand, since it was fried. The oreo pancakes, while sounded good, had little or no oreos. Even two children who would eat any pancake stopped half way through. The spoonful of whipped cream and tub of whipped butter could not make up for how dry they were. Normally, I avoid bad reviews, but this was over the top bad. Even when I mentioned the issues to the server, I could overhear them yelling in the kitchen. This is a definite "avoid at all costs". This was 12:30 for their lunch menu, so in the prime of their service. They have lost any sense of pride in their food.

Waitress asked do you want bacon extra crispy. I said yes. It came out like rubber. I also ordered hash browns extra crispy, i got home fries. During one of the waitresses fly bys I asked about the hash browns. 5 minutes later she delivers a scoop of potato mash which at one time was hash browns but certainly not extra crispy. Waitress took 10% off but that only added up to a couple of bucks. J
