Pollo Loco West Covina Reviews
Drive thru and got a chicken tostada salad - something I have got for years at other locations and this was the freshest salad I’ve ever had. The chicken was tender, and the lettuce was crisp. Everything was on point super friendly staff tenant. I was honestly surprised only because every other location has been mediocre.
I always order a 3 piece leg and thigh and ask for substitute of the leg for another thigh, this location honors the change, thanks
Best place to stop by and have a birthday dinner after bowling at Bowleros. 1 family deal from the app and 2 large family meals worked perfect and we still came in at half of the cost of a bowling birthday package. Great food and all the staff was accommodating, especially Evelyn.
Not the best El Pollo loco. Several rock hard pieces of chicken in my taco. Don't the employees pay any attention to what they're putting in the food?
They act like they are paying for the food themselves
Food was okay, service was horrible. They are super understaffed and stressed, and won't even come to the register anymore because they have those touch screen monitors to order. Those are not convenient for everyone. The day I went there was many people before me that were complaining of being there for over an hr waiting for their food. Happy I didn't wait that long. Most likely not returning to this pollo loco. We'll find another one from now on.
The people always have an attitude. Especially the shirt chubby lady with short hair at the drive through. The staff always treats you in a rushed manner and they basically throw the food at the window in drive thru. This place really needs the management to step up. Also every time you go there, you really have to make sure the order is correct because they can’t even get the drink right
The 3rd time I've gone here and it's the 3rd time I've not gotten what I ordered and paid for. I'd recommend going to the one on Azusa rather than Vincent.
Workers are super lazy (older mexican crew) and took about an hour to get my meal out. Had me waiting at the drive through for 20 minutes then made me come inside and still waiting another half hour. Older mexican lady is rude too
I love getting the taco salad. Usually, it's amazing. Yesterday I went and got me a taco salad and the taco quesidilla for my son. We seemed to enjoy the items. However, both have been up since 1 am getting sick. It was the last thing we both ate, my boyfriend got a burger elsewhere. Me and my son are the only ones who can hold food down. It's so sad that we won't be coming back.
I went in to pick up a quick lunch in between appointments. It was kind of busy, so I have them the benefit of the doubt when they gave me a dime in order instead of “to go.” As she packed it up, I didn’t pay attention, but they actually missed items on my order. When I got back to work, I realized the order was wrong. I am pressed for time, so I called them and asked them to refund me for the missing items. The manager was super rude. He said if I want a refund, I need to go back. I explained to him that I would like the food, but my schedule doesn’t permit me to go back. He said, then I can’t help you and hung up. This is the manager in charge of training others. The owners of this place need to re-think their staff.
I ordered my meal and everything was fine. UNTIL I went into the restroom. I washed my hands and realized there were no paper towels or a hand dryer. The first thought was how do the workers dry their hands? A little disgusting since they DO NOT wear gloves and they prepare food. With everything going on you would think this place would be more cautious. When I brought it to the manager Fernando’s attention he didn’t take ownership. He said”oh we are busy” I replied there was only 1 person ahead of me and there are many employees here. He basically made me feel like I was disturbing him. He didn’t offer a refund, so I had to ask for one. One would think after the complaint a refund would have been offered, so so could take my business elsewhere. The district manager happened to be present, so she stepped in. I told her the situation and not once did she apologize for her employees conduct. Gloria the district manager said it won’t happen again. I informed her the fact that kids will be getting out of school shortly and imagine the possible germs that could be spread with paper no towels available? Once again Gloria said she will take care of it. No mention of her employees conduct. Once I stated she did not acknowledge her managers behavior which is a reflection of her THEN she said “I will talk to him.” This location has a 3.9 with reviews? I will not be surprised if if goes lower than that. If you care about cleanliness DO NOT come to this location. Other location’s employees wear gloves. I don’t understand why there is a difference here. Especially, when there are no paper towels in sight. I will NEVER come to this location again. I was groced out
I come here all the time despite many messed up orders and the stinginess with the salsa. Today I came here for a quick meal before I have to go into work only to see that the drive thru was closed. Totally fine! I parked my car to go inside only to be met with a locked door and an employee blankly staring at me. A lady standing outside told me they refused to communicate with her and shook their finger “NO” at her when she gestured if she could come inside. Why not put up a sign outside saying you’re closed for the day?!!! Super unprofessional!
