This place is what you'd call a hidden gem, sort of hole in the wall place. Super affordable and quality food. If you're ready to stop going to Taco Bell and trying some real food for once, come to this place. Their 3 taco combo is just too affordable to pass up for what you'd pay at a chain restaurant.

It's such a nice little place. The food was really good, and they let us film a youtube video inside. They're just a really awesome restaurant.

This place has the biggest burritos in the valley, definitely a must try. My wife enjoyed the asada nachos and I tried the mojarra, it was a bit over cooked for me but everyone has their preference. Great customer service, they ran out of chips, I asked for them to refill them so I could take some home and they just gave me bags of chips because I waited too long.

Have used El Tapatio many times for catering and aways happy with the quality and quantity for the money. Absolutely delicious and everyone is always happy. Recommend for anyone who has an even or party coming up.

This is the BEST burrito in the valley! The food, service, and ambience are always incredible! My boyfriend has been going here for two decades and recommends the al pastor burrito supreme. I get the shrimp burrito and am always more than satisfied! I got mine without sour cream and cheese and didn’t feel like I was missing out. You’ll love the authentic decor and salsa bar. This place had plenty of guests dining in at lunchtime on a weekday, but we didn’t have to wait long for our food. The parking lot is a little crowded but not terrible. They cater with party platters too!

I was very very surprised me and my mom ordered two combo burritos and we had asked for The food to be made fresh and extra well done on our meat and extra beans no rice they paid attention to literally every detail that was asked of them and they were very friendly and gave excellent customer service to us. The beans were not watered down at all had a very nice flavor and extremely delicious will recommend to anybody!!! yummy come again

El Tapatio is my number one choice for Mexican food, when I am in the west, San Fernando Valley. This is a family run establishment, with several locations in the area. I know of (3) three locations; Victory & Fallbrook, Saticoy & Fallbrook, and just off of Sherman Way near the Post Office. This review is for the Fallbrook & Victory location. The food here is excellent, I recommend the Super Burrito (pictured). They also have a Salsa Bar to spice up your order. All in all, I highly recommend El Tapatio, the staff are friendly and courteous, the food is excellent, though it may be a bit pricey, it is worth it. The only downside is the parking (park in the supermarket lot, and walk over. It's easier).

Oh come on you big taquito you! This is a five-star place all the way. Whoever gave this place four stars and below must be like those four out of five dentists. Just saying. And the main reason why I gave it five stars is because for what it is, it's a casual Taco stand that you can actually sit down inside. It's good at what it does. The food is really good, the prices are right, and the people behind the counter all have a smile. You can tell the men and women who work here love their jobs, and pour their heart into the food that they prepare for you. I Love this place! For good food that is served quick, eat here or take it to go, this is some of the best authentic Mexican food you'll have around. Value! Whether you're a family, or on a casual date, or just coming in on a work break, or don't feel like cooking at home, this might be the spot for you. I feel like for the amount of money you're spending, their prices are perfect for May 2024. You're getting your money's worth, and it's good food. Their three taquito and drink special is $6. I mean where else can you get a deal like that, especially considering the fact that everything is truly homemade. I like the 3 beef enchiladas, and I also like the three taco special as well. So why not have everything? Today I got it all. Lol. Everything I just mentioned, the 3 enchiladas, the three tacos, and the three taquitos, and the drink all came out to $33. It's enough to feed at least three people, maybe four if you have small children. Parking can be tricky, but just go into the Pep Boys parking lot on the other side of the fire station, and you should be able to find tons of free parking if there's none available in the lot out front. Don't expect anything fancy here. This isn't a Cantina or anything. But on the day that we came, Cinco de mayo, there was actually a three-piece band playing with a beautiful harp, a guitar player, and a bass player. All acoustic, like you'd find on the streets of mexico. This was an unexpected surprise, started a year ago. Sundays from 3pm - 6pm or so. It's a taco stand, but you can sit down. No hype. Just really good food. I could go on and on about this place, and give you some over detailed account of what happened here. Just trust me, put your phone down, walk in the door, order some food, and eat. Lol. It's that good. "Free" Chips and salsa are on the sidebar as well if you want to add to your order. Yes I will be back.

What a great place to have tacos. I usually get the combination of three tacos it comes with rice and beans and a drink for $10.50. Plus chips and salsa bar. You have your choice of meat. But everything is good here I also enjoy the burritos. Also the free coffee for breakfast is a nice treat.

Stopped by for a quick bite and was not disappointed! Got the Burrito special. $11.82 with taxes and it came with a free drink. Burrito was real good and huge! They also have free chips and salsa bar.

This place is just fantastic for a go to spot on the Valley. Colorful and festive interior, super helpful staff and the food is just out of this world! Had the Huevos con Machaca (Eggs with a Mexican Beef Jerky) (1000X better than it sounds - and super authentic) - and it was off the charts! Eggs were amazing, tortillas, rice and beans were solid - but the salsas were out of control - pico de gallo for the chips, red and green salsa for the eggs, and another smoked salsa on the side. In short - Salsa Heaven! An absolute must visit place in the Valley for your Mexican fix!

Lookin' for a great Taco Stop with all the trimmings? Look no further... The standard $2 Steak Taco is anything but standard! Loaded with meat... & a great combination of cilantro, tomato, & onion. Queso If you'd like for 80 cents. Add a side of refried beans for $2 & you'll be greeted by a player of beans, topped with ample Queso! Now take a stroll over to the condiment station for some self serve red or green sauce, a great carrot, jalapeno, onion & potato salad! Fresh chips & lime wedges... Now we're off to the races! Dine in & you'll receive all you can eat, complimentary fresh chips & salsa! All-in... $4 you'll fill'er up! Yup, this former Taco Truck chaser has found a home! Full, authentic Mexican menu, clean atmosphere & service with a smile. Dine in, carry out, delivery, & catering. Your welcome!

I was recently introduced to this restaurant by a friend and I’ve been so happy with the food every time. If you’re looking for good quality Mexican food without the high pricing of a fancy restaurant, this is the place to go. The food is delicious so you won’t be disappointed. That being said, I had to dock a few points from my rating because of the lack of customer service I received every time I’ve gone in. The one lady who is usually taking orders or giving out food had been incredibly rude and unfriendly every time I’ve gone. I’m always friendly, I say hello, I smile, I say thank you, but most of the time I’m met with a dirty look and no response. Sadly I haven’t had many interactions with other staff but the few I have interacted with seem kind. I do hope this changes because it’s the one thing that makes me hesitate to visit, but I continue to come back and try to ignore it for the quality of the food and to support their business. All things considered, I do hope those of you see this review are not dissuaded from giving them a try. The food is fantastic, the other staff has been kind, and I hope you’ll have a much better experience.

Food is really good and generous portions. You pick up the food and take it to your table but staff are friendly. Atmosphere is okay-cool tables and chairs and if it wasn’t so bright could get 4 stars. Bottom line is the food is really good.

Did was okay. A bit oily compared to other Mexican food restaurants. Service was almost non existent. Took more than 10 minutes to clean the table before we sat down

I had good expectations coming into this place, and it was moderately busy for lunch. I ordered al pastor burrito with added guacamole. Burrito took 20 minutes which is very slow for a take out place. Other orders made way after mine came and went. I believe they lost my order because shortly after asking about the status, the order was done . Pastor was just ok, burrito had no guacamole. Perhaps it was just an off day for this place.

Today 27 of December and 26 i make an order. And It's not what I expected. Beef soup. Was really bad. And camarones ala diabla . Was sweet.

Been coming here my entire life and have had them cater multiple events. Today a man on drugs walked in and was asking everyone for money. They then got violent and were screaming at people for 10 minutes. Not one of the 4 guys behind the counter asked him to leave or did anything. No apologies. Didn’t even get to finish my food.

I’ve been coming here for a long time since I live in the neighborhood, but today was disappointing. Someone new was at the register, and because I didn’t speak Spanish, they tried to overcharge me for the same order I always get. I called it out, and they said there is no price increase, and when I pointed it out, they just smirked like it was a joke. I told them to cancel the order and walked out. Honestly, I’ve supported this place for a while, but after that, its questionable but there food is good
