Indian Kitchen West Hollywood Reviews
“The Indian kitchen “Excellent food with authentic Indian flavors.Everything was fresh and delicious. Special thanks to Chef Mr. Shajahn for the amazing taste and quality. Highly recommended!
Another happy discovery in my new neighborhood. I asked a neighbor who grew up in India for her recommendation. Her instant reply was Indian Kitchen. The sophisticated yet simple decor, walls lined with multicolor pillows, is warm and inviting. We were welcomed by Raf, who answered our menu questions and advised us on spice/heat. We started with a creamy and delicious Vegetable Vegan Soup. My friend ordered the Butter Chicken (mild spice) with Paswari Naan. His go-to order is Butter Chicken and this one did not disappoint. I'm a BC newbie and it was love at first taste! The chicken was tender, but I'd be happy with a bowl (vat) of that amazing gravy!! and a pile of naan. I ordered the Lamb Biryani (medium spice) with Garlic Naan. Both of our naans were buttery and soft - and the size of an elephant ear! (Portions overall were generous, easily shared.) My biryani was very good. The lamb was tender, the rice deliciously spiced and the heat was perfect. I've never met bread I couldn't finish, but their giant naan did me in. We were served white rice but neither of us touched it. Finally, a shout out to Raf, our server and guide, who was friendly and attentive and made a terrific meal that much more enjoyable. 11/10 for Indian Kitchen! The comfortable room, reasonably priced delicious food and gracious service make for a most satisfying experience. I'm eager to try their weekday lunch specials, too.
Hands down, some of the best tasting Indian food I’ve ever had. The service was amazing as well! Tahmid was our server and he was the nicest guy ever and very attentive to us. It’s also in a cool location with plenty to do after eating here.
Such a great place. The staff is so nice, the food is great for the price! Their lunch special is unbeatable. Really attentive service, comfortable seating, and great atmosphere
Everything was on point. Lovely attentive service, calming clean atmosphere, and delicious food. Mango lassi, chicken tikka masala, raita, aloo chana so good. I will up the spice level next time to medium. They advertise a very reasonable lunch special. We're for sure coming back
The food is worth the wait. Everything is made fresh which takes time but the food is full so flavorful. This restaurant was a great find for us. We love Indian food and this is among the best Indian food we’ve ever had.

Some of the best people who work here. They make you feel like home and the food is more than delicious I would rate this restaurant A++++ restaurant
Great food, very warm and hospitable service with promptness. Rafiq was excellent and took great care. Will surely visit again.
Food has always been fantastic, and the service is outstanding! Sam is a delight when serving lunch with the best smile. Thank you… keep up the great (and delicious!) work!!!
I've been driven into many Indian restaurants due to following my nose as I wandered streets of numerous cities and that aroma of spices wafts me in. As was the case for The Indian Kitchen at 8165 Santa Monica Blvd in West Hollywood. I felt transported back to India for about thirty minutes. The food was delicious, the music warm and inviting and the staff was immeasurably courteous and thoughtful. The only part that saddened me was I was the only one sitting down on a Friday night at 730pm. This place deserves to be filled to the brim. Please make it happen.
Food was awesome!!! Best Indian food I’ve had in a while. Our server Sam was great too! He was kind, attentive, and fast.
Really great food and very kind staff!! Service was great :) Great neighborhood Indian spot.
Such wholesome people…. Warm and cozy atmosphere. Taking care of their customers and going above and beyond… they really go the extra mile to make sure authenticity doesn’t get overshadowed by their pride in their food. Highly highly Recommend (and if you’re daring like us get it very hot very spicy. Dungerrrr man). Sam’s great!
Saag Paneer is my favorite. This place is so good and well packed for delivery. And spicy means spicy so careful with that. Some of my favorite samosas in the city. Thank you so much.
Great food and cozy atmosphere. Sam was our server, he was very kind and attentive. Will definitely come back.
First time here and the best Indian food ive had in a long while. Will definitely be back. Super friendly staff too.
We’ve been coming here for years. Wonderful food, great flavor, friendly service.
Awesome late night spot! Lamb korma so good, Sam was great:)

I love Indian kitchen, but recently there is inconsistency. I really can’t tell if that’s oil on the bottom when I said no oil . I like going here because they usually make it healthier than other Indian restaurants, but For some reason, it's been more oily these past few weeks and not very attentive to special instructions. I am PRETTY sure the cook DOESNT follow it. I feel like they are more consistent only when the owner is there. Other than that , I still do recommend because the owner is very nice and so are the waiters. I'll still give it a few more tries before going down the road to curry kingdom. If you look at my photos, one has oil and one doesn't even though I wrote the same thing. All three photos are different. Also for some reason doordash pick up is more expensive than delivery which does not make sense. With that said, I still believe Indian kitchen has really nice staff and one of the better Indian foods. I just hope there is more consistency.
A little confused, and I don’t know if this is a regional thing, but I’ve always known kofta to be made from veggies and paneer. These seemed like bread. Completely white and bready on the inside. The green you see are bits of herbs but not a single pea or anything. The tomato sauce is of course good, even though I asked for medium spicy which was the 2nd highest option before hot and would say this is 0 spicy. Naan was good too but kind of unnecessary. With the breadiness of the kofta + rice, the naan was too much as far as like, too heavy of a meal. If I eat here again I’ll just get the paneer masala.

Great food, not very crowded at all. The servers were very friendly and the portions were generous. I would eat here again.
The saag paneer gave me food poisoning :( Wish I could endorse this place because the tikka masala was great, but the saag made me sick immediately.
