Casual atmosphere, great food, fantastic customer service. The vibrant colors definitely help brighten your mood, along with the soft music. Highly recommend it. Heads up: the burritos are massive!

Great first experience. Grew up with this spot being another taqueria, Sal's now is an elevated yet authentic dining experience. Had the chilaquillas Verde with Carne Asada & eggs added. Our server was kind and took the time to ensure he had each part of our order correct.

The best enchiladas suizas and chips and guacamole! Margaritas are awesome too! The refried beans are creamy and just the right consistency. Mexican rice was fluffy. The shredded chicken in the enchilada suizas was melt in your mouth, most delicious chicken suizas. The food is fresh, well seasoned, and delicious!

I loved it! This place is so cute, with bright colors and mosaics. The enchiladas de mole were delightful. No problems with service

Street tacos and guacamole was amazing ! Even had vegan options but we didn't try them. The margarita was nicely not sugary as I requested no agave, but then didn't have an passionfruit flavor. Tajin was a nice authentic touch. Outside was pleasant enough, though pretty busy road was close.

Amazing one more time! A Gem in West Sac. Friendly staff....Colorful Decor...Patio Seating. Recommend arriving early as it became very busy on Saturday.

This place is a jewel. Off the main track but once you know, you know. My very favorite is the Chilli Relleno. My family had the Torta, and the street Tacos. The service is friendly and I love a place where you have the same people waiting on you, cooking, and making drinks every time you go.

Sal’s has really stepped up its game. Full bar, great decoration and service outside. Our meals were big and tasty. Only problem was the single guy running the front of house wasn’t able to get the food out quick enough for it to be hot. Sadly our dishes were just above room temperature. We will absolutely come back again because the place has always been solid before this. Next time 🍺

Got a recommendation to eat at Sal's. The restaurant was pretty busy during lunch which was a good sign. There was one guy covering the restaurant and he was doing a great job. The Chile Verde caught my eye and the waiter said it was delicious. The portion was huge but it was so delicious I finished the whole thing. The pork was tenderly stewed. Had excellent flavor, just enough kick. The rice and beans were great. It was delicious.

I've never had refritos that I couldn't stop eating — these must have been the best in my six decades. Honestly, that's strange. I finished them first. The asada was tasty, service attentive, and atmosphere was a little more boutique than merely taqueria. Nice refuge from the world outside.

Very cute taco restaurant. I enjoyed the chips and salsa. I just wished there was a spicier salsa option. The tacos were very flavorful, and the beans and rice were good as well. Overall, a good meal. The servers were all extremely friendly. The decor was very fun.

Lots of colors and art inside. Outside is eye catching too. Staff friendly. Food was fast and had god presentation. I had Carne asada and enchilada plate. Felt good was good but not fantastic. Refried beans were tasteless.

Cute spot and very friendly staff. The location is clean and has space outside to eat as well. Loved the decorations inside with the colors and mosaic art. I would stop in there again.

I loved the food and service. I've never had tacos so filled up with meat before. I love that there was an actual option for spicy sauce than just Cholula. I haven't been back to the West Coast for a while, and the food hit the spot. There weren't many people at the time so my friends and I got our food fairly quickly. Our waiter was very attentive and quick to meet our needs. The restaurant was filled with decorations of Latin culture and it really added to the ambiance. I had 4 street tacos with rice & beans, 2 chicken and 2 carnitas. I wish the chicken was shredded but it was still delicious. Will come again when i come back into town.

Ultimately... Check this place out! Great spot in a cozy neighborhood! Whether you are dining with family or relaxing with friends, the patio is perfect for evenings enjoying food and beer, and Margaritas! Very colorful interior and exterior with unique tile mosaics on walls and floors. The bright colored tables and surroundings make you feel like you are somewhere else. The service was very limited, but if you are not in a hurry you will be rewarded. The food is quite good. The chips and salsa are tasty, you get a red and Verde for the chips. The guacamole was very tasty but it came out with the dinner, a little late IMO. The beer was cold and kept coming, need I say more? The only critique I have besides slow service (by being understaffed) would be there was a true lack in spice and depth of flavor. (review based on new ownership only being open 3 weeks; 3/31/2022)

First time here, We got here before brunch time, Ordered a mango margarita, sorry but that drink wasn’t wat we ordered, our drink taste just like straight alcohol, orange juice, my chicken burrito was good and the ground beef burrito was good but BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE for us, we had too keep asking the guy for extra salsa, forks and napkins but no other customers where asking for anything, the guy was already giving chips and salsa to different tables to different customers without them having to ask for anything and I don’t do the picking and choosing my money can spend good as well as anybody else can, their was only two male servers and they both wasn’t that great, one guy he kept passing our table helping everyone else, the other guy was outside plus I flagged him down and he acknowledged it but ended up, taking other customers orders in the front and the line was long so we had too wait, til they where done then where we was sitting was very hot with no air. We won’t be back.

This was once a family favorite in the 80s and 90s. I moved back to town and thought I would check it out. I ordered nachos and an enchilada. To be honest, the cheese enchilada with red sauce was actually pretty good. The nachos were covered in groundbeef but more like a thick gravy consistency and beans tasted like canned beans. Service was ok. It looked clean but there were more flies inside than outside, we chose to eat outside. I was expecting a nostalgic experience but it was far from what I remembered. It used to be one of my go to places for tacos and enchiladas, too bad Emma's closed down...

This was my first time eating here and probably the last time eating here. My mom likes to eat here a lot and she suggested we go eat here. When I think Mexican food, I thing loaded with great flavors, and this place just wasn't that. I ordered the taco plate, and the chicken was bland and gamey. The portions were small. Anywhere I go, I'm never able to finish the plate no matter how hungry I am. I had to drown my tacos in salsa. My sister ordered street tacos, my son got chicken nachos, and mom got the enchilada plate. All I know is that the food fell short on the flavor and the portion size. As much as we spent and I was disappointed in the food.

We arrived at 6:15 PM on a Thursday night, and were meeting up with friends to celebrate my mother's birthday. An earlier Google check indicated we were well within their hours of operation, and that they were open. open. Alas, no. A graveyard. No notice posted. No recorded message on a machine when I called them. What TERRIBLE customer service. We traveled from southern Sacramento in rush hour traffic. Do better Sal's. Yes, things happen. At least post some notice of explanation for your (now gone forever) customers.
