I dig their slogans! My car is on autopilot at this location. I tried their milk tea & squid balls. But it's their Taro milk tea that keeps me wanting more! Can't wait to explore the rest of their food menu 😋 😊

My family and I have been coming here for decades. Most servers are still working there, so that's a good sign of the owners. It's always a great place to eat with my family.

Great meal! The Crispy pork chop and Taiwanese were delicious. Yummy yogurt frost as well!

I got a milk tea with easy boba. The boba was good and the milk tea was perfect sweetness for me. I’d say it’s good enough that I’d return to try other drinks. Employees were nice too

The Chi Chi fries here are quite tasty. I have come here multiple times, and every time I have ordered the Chi Chi fries. The only downside is that they are $10 for a small amount, and they make you really have to poop afterwards.

I used to frequent the Tapioca Express In Lakewood, located on South St. and Woodruff Ave. Having closed many years ago, I missed their crispy chicken (aka popcorn chicken) and pork chop plates. Many a day were they my go-to dinner or mid-afternoon merienda. Usually whenever I'm at the Cerritos Town Centre, I hit up Yasai for some hardcore sushi action, passing up Tapioca Express, The Great Steak & Potato Company etc. Hearing my stomach rumbling with hunger pains of yesteryear, I finally indulged this Tapioca Express so they can show me what they're working with. Yup, had to order the porkchop plate & crispy chicken plate, mild spice with both including choice of iced black or green tea. Greasy, yet good. The porkchop was tender with each bite, the chicken moist and sized in perfect poppable bites. Both were seasoned well, even if they were supposed to be mild. The cabbage was soggy, but the soy sauce egg was as delicious as I remembered. The ground pork reminded me of corned beef and the few slices of Taiwanese sausage were the combination of both sweet and savory. Maybe my nostalgia has rose-tinted glasses, but the plates didn't taste as good as I remembered. Or, it could be my taste palate has become more refined over the years. Yeah, foodie snob here ;p Service was a little slow, with the late dinner crowd filing in for some cold boba drinks to indulge in and cool off. I was told the wait was because the porkchop takes a little longer to cook. Can't blame them for making sure it's cooked thoroughly. Don't want worms in the tummy! There are a few tables inside and outdoor tables to dine al fresco. I'd recommend ordering food and/or drinks to go. Overall, Tapioca Express is A-okay. Nothing extraordinary, but not a bad choice for a boba drink, coffee or an order of crispy chicken. Recommend!

Probably not my lucky day, I ordered the coconut tea, I couldn’t even give a 2nd try. I don’t know if that is only tat particular flavor but, just thinking about it makes me feel sick… Costumer service was poor, I had to wait staff finish socializing and preparing the order for a “customer/friend” who came after me. I was very disappointed. I am giving 2 stars ‘cuz my daughter’s drink was “ok” but end up in the trash as well.

I think it might have just been my luck but I ordered a coconut milk tea and it tastes really bad. It doesn't taste at all like coconut, more like a really heavy workout powdered drink. Poorly mixed too . They have great service though.

Well it was icy but had no flavor no milk not that red beanie taste it was terrible Think-it didn’t help that while we were the first in line. You think that was a good thing but no he started our drink then stopped to get every freakin order that came in other person in back was no help…then started our again maybe that’s why it had no flavor it probably melted as it sat there !!!!! Zero stars but it wil not let me! No quality control

Ordered food 4-24-2022. Got home to eat. Ate 1/2 way through food and found a human hair attached to my popcorn chicken. Called to advise staff to wear hairnets and gloves so they can avoid further loss of business. Lady on the phone could not comprehend basic english. Issue unsettled and will not recommend nor return in future. Review finished, thank you google.

I was ahead of the line but still had to wait 17 minutes while dumb and dumber lolly gagged around. The layout of the store is also not work ways at all! Dumber wastes a lot of time walking across the store to deliver drinks when he should be behind the counter making stuff.
