Absolutely amazing food!! Service was impeccable! The appetizer came out quickly, clean atmosphere. Love love love it here
Been coming here for years, their sushi rolls are consistent with deliciousness.. their service is quick and everyone is super kind. They have the BEST hibachi fried noodles and the best creme brulee cheesecake!
Always the best !! I go no other place for sushi
We visited this restaurant for the first time today and we are so glad we did. The relaxing atmosphere, the great service and of course the delicious food! Everything exceeded our expectations. We got the filet mignon and chicken/shrimp Hibachi. It was amazing. The flamed flavors were to die for. And our waitress was totally sweetheart and very professional. We well definitely come back!
You can tell from my name that I had authentic sushi in Japan. I also had great sushi in Westchester county and Bay Area. I consider this place a hidden gem in central Connecticut. Appetizers we had were Chicken Teriyaki, Chicken with pine nut lettuce wraps, and Takoyaki. We ordered assorted and individual sushi items and a dynamite roll. Some sushi items were not available. That is a GOOD sign. That usually means the sushi chef care his/her reputation more than serving not so fresh fish to make a quick buck. All the dishes were fantastic. It was a Friday afternoon, very quiet, and excellent service!
It's been a while since we have eaten here but our favorite server Lek started working here. So we followed her. The restaurant is in a shopping center with plenty of parking and lots of other great stores. The place itself is clean and modern-looking. It must do a great takeout business since there were at least a half dozen take-out orders waiting. They don't do happy hour but it's not that big of a place. The menu is not as extensive as bigger restaurants but it had all the basics plus some treats. We started out with drinks. My wife asked for a gin concoction. Lek saw that she didn't seem to like it and immediately replaced it with a different drink. The other ladies got fancy mixed drinks which they loved. I got my usual hot sake. For appetizers, we had octopus balls ( not sure correct name but that's what I called them). They were hit and delicious. We also had the seaweed salad. The Korean calamari was on the tiny side which didn't add to the flavor, unfortunately. We had the Love Boat for two which came on a plate. Sushi and sashimi were fresh. The Miso soup was tasty. The yaki soba was just okay. The dessert was gobbled right up. Ginza is a good family restaurant with good food and service.
This is a very "unassuming" restaurant. The decor is fabulous, and the service was prompt. We went when it was fairly empty, so hopefully the level of service is consistent during their more business hours. The food came quickly and was delicious. The menu appears to have a small section of Americanized dishes along with what appear to be more traditional Japanese and Thai options and Sushi.
Stopped by on a road trip to pick up online order for lunch based on DoorDash recommendation. The spring rolls and eel roll all exceed my expectation. I could tell how fresh the veggie and shrimps were in spring rolls. The home made dip was beyond words too. The eel rolls are great as well though a bit saltier for me(I have kept the diets of less salt). Will definitely come back when I am close by next time.
Great experience. They have hibachi items, but do not cook it in front of you. Larger group service was good and the food tasted good.
Ordered takeout from here. Trying this location for the first time after the Bloomfield location closed. Shrimp tempura and angry dragon roll -4/5-are the two sushi’s that i ordered and they did come out good. Had better before. TSO chicken was so bad-0/5- Chicken was stale and coating was double than the chicken quantity . We asked spicy and they just added more sauces only. Would never order this here ever.
0 Star Review: A Cautionary Tale from a Sushi Lover I’m writing this six days after ordering takeout from Ginza. Let me be clear: I’ve had sushi from coast to coast — upscale spots, hole-in-the-wall gems, you name it. But never in my life have I experienced what Ginza put me through. Within 24 hours, I had full-blown, life-altering, toilet-destroying diarrhea that has still not stopped. We’re talking booty-splashing, body-draining levels of illness that sent me into urgent care, where I was prescribed the same medication you’d take if you got sick from drinking untreated water abroad. That’s how bad it was.🪱 This wasn’t a “sensitive stomach” moment — it was a serious, gut-wrecking experience that completely threw off my health, hydration, and sanity for nearly a week. I’ve been sick, angry, and shocked that a place with such hype could serve food this reckless. The fish? Overhyped. The outcome? Unforgivable. Honestly, they’re lucky I’m not SUING. Do. Not. Recommend. Eat at your own risk — and keep some electrolytes and toilet paper close. The worst part is that this medication doesn’t work. My doctor said I have to go to the hospital. How generous Ginza, I ordered sushi and you gave me parasites for free 🪱
I purchased two general tso meals from the lunch menu. Me and girlfriend immediately became sick. We both threw up and had diharrea. It was definitely a case of food poisoning.
