Jan 22nd 2026: Got a turkey & Brie toast with a side of coleslaw for just over €10 and it was delicious! This place has lots of seating and seems to be animal-friendly. Food was ready is under 10 minutes.

We walked around for a place to have a pint and a tea. Found this delightful place that serves amazing healthy food. Generous servings at reasonable prices. So good we went back the next morning for breakfast!

I was totally surprised by this place.I have walked passed many a time and thought it was just a coffee shop, but how wrong was I. Had a lovely Sunday lunch here, food was excellent. Not just your average menu. Choice was varied and tempting. Worthy of a retry.

On an early Sunday Morning, I was interested in locating a quality breakfast place and Frank’s Place was near my hotel and this was an excellent choice…The French Toast and Americano Coffee were chosen and the staff were very welcoming and friendly…this was a restaurant with many cozy seating locations inside the Restaurant…Highly recommended…

Had Brunch here. I had the egg bean and crispy chorizo. It was scumptious. Lovely coffee too. The building is an old bakery I believe, so looks great from the outside. Inside is well laid out with plenty of quirky things to look at. Staff very friendly.

is a cozy and elegant restaurant in Wexford that serves authentic and delicious food with a great wine selection. The service is friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere is relaxing and charming. It is one of the best restaurants in Wexford.

Really enjoyed the chicken focaccia from the Franks Deli menu. Only €5.50! So reasonable for such fresh and tasty food. They have lovely ice coffees and the staff are very welcoming. The girl who served me, I think her name may have been Aisling, was really lovely. I will definitely be back!

Quality ingredients used, the 'deli' is so much more than that, it's restaurant quality food. The decor is trendy, there's just such a nice vibe in there. Love this place.

We came for a gig and what a beautiful intimate venue it turned out to be. Staff were without exception polite, knowledgeable and very helpful. Really felt welcome from the moment we came in the door. The food was delicious. Full of taste, colour and beautifully presented. Excellent choice of starters and mains no matter how fussy an eater you are, with a plethora of choice for dessert. They even had coconut milk for my partners latte. Oh and John Blek put on fabulous show too 😃 Well worth a visit.

We had the soup of the day (curry, coriander, spicy), patatas bravas, and the mussels. Everything was delicious!!! Especially, the mussels. We were too full to order dessert, we will certainly be back!! The staff was always very, very nice and friendly. Just great atmosphere

Delicious spot for lunch, very fairly priced. Presentation of the food was amazing - loved the plating and boards - so unique! The BBQ burger was fantastic, filling and tasty! Can’t wait to visit again on our next trip to Wexford!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The food at Frank’s Place 1860 in Wexford is absolutely fantastic! Everything on the menu looked so tempting, and everything we ordered was delicious. I had the seafood chowder, while my partner had the soup of the day — both accompanied by phenomenal bread. For mains, I had the open sandwich, and my partner enjoyed a pasta dish. The food was bursting with flavor, beautifully presented, and the portions were excellent. While the atmosphere wasn’t particularly standout, could well have been the time of week/day that we were there, the quality of the food more than made up for it. If you’re after a great meal, Frank’s Place 1860 is definitely worth a visit!

Had a superb lunch there last Saturday. I was able to bring my mobility scooter to the table. Staff very polite and helpful. Food was excellent and reasonably priced. I had the Shredded Pork bap with salad and sweet potatoes @ 15 euro. They also have wine and beer on sale. Highly recommend 👍

Have gone to Franks Place a couple of times now. Good food. Service is quite quick. Loads of seating inside and out. Very popular place.

Popped in here for Lunch over the weekend. We sat inside and due to the weather being lovely, inside was quiet. Staff were helpful and friendly. The food was amazing to the point where we both said we would visit again, and that it was one of the better meals we have had in a long time in Wexford. Price was reasonable and would recommend it to anyone.

We had lunch with family and we were all more than happy with our food, the steak, chowder, fish and chips and lasagna was so delicious, and the presentation was beautiful. We will definitely be back and would highly recommended it. Can’t wait to go back on our next visit to Wexford town.

Nice little spot for lunch, with a wide variety of artisan nibbles and sundries that can be purchased from all over. This includes a wonderfully varied wine selection. The food menu has enough on it to keep anyone satisfied and not too much that there's a concern it will not be done well. The seafood was fresh, the salad well garnished and seasoned and the coffee delicious and warming on a cold day. The only mark down was that it took a while for someone to get over and take the order, but if you're in no rush, excellent

Lovely big place (Very nice bathrooms!). Generous portions, although a bit pricey, and friendly workers. Big food menu, but maybe too big for consistent quality. Breaded mushrooms were reheated and dry, pasta was over cooked (and cut…). Otherwise very tasty.

Popped in for quick lunch yesterday, my first time but my friend is a regular there. Sat at dirty table for 10 minutes had to ask someone to clear it. Menu looked great stood at counter good 10 mins to order, ordered the chowder €11, tea and eclaire €9. When chowder arrived it was barely half a bowl - my friend insisted on calling over waitress to top it up. Eventually it came back - a good portion and pipping hot. The chowder was amazing like eating silk, it was very loaded with fish and prawns every bite was a sensation for your senses. Its a busy place so allow yourself time - but food all looked amazing, staff were pleasant and apologetic for wait time.

For a change, it’s a spacious cafe with quite the usual stuff that you would found at any normal cafe shop. Having said that presentation and quality is good. Cappuccino that I ordered had a perfect froth to liquid ratio but lacked the caffeine kick, which subjectively speaking is needed from a coffee. And the breakfast was not served with any bread, I wonder why!!!! Has some fine grocery items which wouldn’t at your local stores. Getting quite the attention in town as it’s newly opened, I do like it but they need to work on their menu and service.

Myself and my partner visited for a nice meal and a bottle of wine. Initially all was fine, it was very quiet but we were placed right beside the toilet door which seemed odd but maybe it was to do with reservations. Our food was decent, starters were a bit overpriced for what they were especially the patatas bravas but the steaks were quite nice. The wine could have done with being more chilled which I didn't expect when they sell a lot of wines. The main issue of the night was that of service, as I said it wasn't that busy. But we found ourselves left alone to the extent of us not really having a chance to order another drink. Then it was similar when trying to get their attention for the bill. There seemed to be more than enough staff on to accommodate the number of people at the restaurant but looking at some of the other reviews it seems to be common. Highlighted by the fact they charge a mandatory service charge. All in all it was fine but there are plenty of places in Wexford that have superior service.

Lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. The starter was nice and tasty, but the main course was not good at all, the potatoes were with such a horrible fatty taste. Quiet costly, I was surprised to see that service charge was automatically added.

Ordered the Sun blush risotto and got a bowl of rice and tomato instead, wasn't great and very over priced. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Wine was good!

There was a mixup with my breakfast order so I can’t comment on the food as I never got it after 40 mins but I did get a refund so alls well that ends well. Lovely young staff members - they were doing their best - but they were seriously let down by their manager. He left them to cope on their own while he was glued to his laptop out the back, and then he tried to blame them! Very rude chap, South African accent, I won’t be back - sister cafe Greenacres is far nicer at the same price

Don't go here. Had starters of White Bait and Calamari. White Bait was unseasoned and bland. Calamari was actually very good ordered the chicken then and langoustine . Chicken was over cooked and dry. Now the langoustine they left the digestive tract in so gritty and unpleasant. Can't reccomend to anyone. I also ordered a pint of Chieftain. Arrived with no head looked Luke brown water. Ohh frozen chips.

Always come to Frank's place but a bit disappointed as staff took ages to acknowledge and didn't say we needed to order at counter until I asked. Also another customer had white rabbits with her with one running around with hair flying everywhere!

We were here a year ago and a very different experience. Easy to fund, plenty of space, good decor. But.. It was 14⁰C outside and we were seated under a cold air-con... we asked to be reseated and ended up under another cold position. Food very tasty, no doubt about that but the portions seem to have got smaller and one dish, halloumi "for two to share" at nearly twice the price was a pathetic three wafer thin slices served on a cold plate with few slithers of peppers. Service has deteriorated as we found it all but impossible to attract any attention from staff. It was not particularly busy either. By the way... gin & tonic is served with a slice of lime, not tastless blueberries. In all... not worth the nearly €100 bill. We shall not be returning anytime soon.

Food was fine but the manager was absolutely awful. Giving out to staff in front of customers, very awkward! Would not recommend going here if you want a nice atmosphere!!

I have been a few times during lunch but today’s experience was awful . Lots of staff to be honest service terrible the manager was just oblivious waited 15 mins for an espresso. Only 3 tables eating the wrap was disgusting very disappointed tbh €28 ! Chowder glass of wine wrap with nothing else like a bit of salad and espresso . Took ages to come and then left us no clearance of tables nothing yet staff just walking about aimlessly. Therefore it’s only as good as it’s managed . Won’t be going there again due to my stomach being upset as well . Left half the wrap as it was not edible very sad considering they are a well known restaurant

Went in to purchase bread and a coffee at 9.10 am on the way to work and to say I was made feel like an inconvenience is an understatement. The girl serving me signed rolled her eyes barely looked at me and didn't even greet me when she finally served me. Lovely coffee food and products there but been treated like that would but me off returning.

Vegans beware as staff are not trained to know what this is. I asked about vegan options at desk and was told one item had flour so not that (meaning not gluten free) then I explained that vegan meant no animal products. I ordered the vegan sausage roll which was served with a mozzarella or halumi type cheese :( when I explained later (to the cashier) that vegan meant no cheese/dairy as well, I was told that I hadn't specified that I was a Vegan ! and that it was often just a Choice for people. I hope they don't have this policy on gluten-free as well. Manager/owner need to train staff on what these food terms mean. When people order a vegan option please presume they ARE actually vegan and do NOT add non-vegan items to their plate.

Ordered and paid for hot chocolate & coffee and was told they'd bring it to table. 10 minutes later - no sign so I went to counter again to enquire and was rudely told that they'd bring it to table when ready. Another 10 minutes (20 minutes total) still no sign so I cancelled and got a refund. Place wasn't busy - bar empty with lots of young staff in cafe area. Asked for older manager and told him I've never had to wait 20 minutes for a cup of coffee in my life but he did nothing. Disgraceful service.

I'm far from fussy but I left this place feeling thoroughly ripped off. Way over priced for tiny portions. Is it really too much to have two slices of bread? The waitress was very nice but who I assumed to be the manger there was extremely rude. Would NOT recommend.

Walked into Franks Place today looking for a table for lunch, unfortunately, they weren’t seating anyone as they needed to set up tables for 70 people for dinner, which was understandable, we were advised that takeaway coffee was available. We ordered takeaway coffee and while waiting inside the shop we decided to order the last two slices of banana cake which looked very lonely in the display cabinet only to be told that they were closed for takeaway and we couldn’t buy anything. A little bit of customer service and leeway would have been nice Franks Place ☹️

The young staff are so friendly and have excellent customer skills especially when dealing with long queues over the Christmas period. HOWEVER, the manager ought to be ashamed of himself. He sauntered around kicking chairs and grumbling to himself before approaching two young girls working behind the till and publicly humiliating them by shouting at them in front of at least 14 people in the queue. He has absolutely zero people skills and needs to attend an anger management course. He gave out to the girls because it was busy but he didn't offer to help. The girls were running around doing everything they possibly could, making coffee, making food and taking money. Disgusting behaviour from the manager

The experience in this place was dreadful. 8 off us went in for breakfast Sunday, we booked. Waiter was in a bad mood and unfriendly. Beverages arrived, breakfast arrived 40 mins later, even though the place was empty. 2 burnt sausages, 2 burnt bacon, dried out hard mushrooms, 2 overcooked eggs and dried out beans. €15 for the abomination of a breakfast and €4.50 for the coffee. To add insult to injury, the rude manager wanted full payment for the group. We go for breakfast every Sunday to meet up, this place is nothing more than a utter disgrace.
