Shaw's Halal Food White Plains Reviews
I’ve been coming here a while. The food is always great and packaged up great. Rifha Was a big help!
Rifah here helped me out with food and I appreciate Rifah and the rest of the staff for their wonderful work and customer service definitely recommend for a quick eat and talk.
Food is SO good. The bomb.com!! Service is so! Will NOT regret coming here 🤤
Love the guys here and the food is always so good and fresh. (Highly recommend the chicken platter with extra chicken) This will be my main halal place until the Yonkers location gets revamped. The service there is no good, very bad actually. Thanks to white plains location for holding it down !!
Great place to get food late at night when most places are closed. You can't go wrong with the chicken over rice. I always notice new things on the menu. The service is always fast and friendly.
"The food at this spot looks incredibly fresh and inviting! I love the setup with the customizable salad bar – it's great to see so many vibrant ingredients like chickpeas, hummus, and what looks like a fresh salsa or chopped salad. The sauces, both 'White Sauce' and 'Red Hot Sauce,' neatly lined up on the top shelf, suggest a place that knows its flavors and offers variety. Plus, those squeeze bottles below with different colored sauces hint at even more delicious options. It's clear they prioritize choice and quality, making for a promising meal experience!"
Love love the food and Rifah's service was excellent. She is very attentive and listen to the customer needs, while serving you with a smile. The food was also very good, freshly made and well balanced. Options for salad based and vegetables are also available. Will definitely come back here soon.
Our experience today was excellent. Our server, Rifah, was exceptionally attentive. She guided us seamlessly through the entire ordering process, even though we came as a family with several orders. The food was equally impressive especially the gyros, which were flavorful. Overall, a wonderful dining experience. Def coming back!
I never had halal food before and she let me try the chicken so I felt secure in my decision. Everything was so good! I was going to stop by another establishment (that starts with a C) for a bowl of essentially the same food and I’m so happy I decided to try something new! The cost was awesome for the size of the platter, the front + bathroom was clean, the food tasted fresh, and the service was wonderful! I am eager to enjoy halal food again and this was a great first experience.
I decided to eat here after seeing a growing number of great reviews. The restaurant is very clean and has comfortable booths for dining. Service is quick and efficient, as the food is prepared on a line where you can customize your perfect plate or pita. I chose a combo plate with chicken and lamb, and I loved being able to pick from so many toppings. While my plate might not look very appetizing in pictures, not a single grain of rice was left—it was absolutely delicious! Not pictured are the green sauce and hot sauce I asked for on the side, which were fantastic additions. I will happily eat here again in the future!
The family tried a new place for lunch today, SHAH's Halal Food. (First time customers) Lamb gyro with topping of tomatoes/cucumber mix and white sauce. Lamb gyro with cucumber/tomatoes mix white and hot sauce. Three orders of fries. Cheeseburger. Didn't know the cheeseburger had mayonnaise. The menu board didn't have it listed or the food menu to go card. (First time customers) Cheeseburger when brought it home has: lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, onions, mayonnaise/ketchup on both sides of hamburger buns. Sadly my Husband doesn't like mayonnaise, so we gave the cheeseburger to a member of our family. The temperature of the food is great. Salad topping fresh and stocked to put on platters and on gyros. Fries taste seasoned and at a great temperature. Variety of sodas, Snapple, and fuze tea drinks. Staff friendly. Time to go there: 11am before the very busy lunch rush. Thankful and grateful for the delicious food and staff. Next time ordering a cheeseburger without mayonnaise and going to try a platter which is served over rice.
Busy place with good food, but service needs to improve please. One more person at the register to help out would improve business
It was our first time trying out Shah's Halal Food .We ordered the Chicken Over Rice, Lamb Over Rice, and the Pakora Fries—all of which were genuinely tasty and felt like great value for the money. The portions were generous, and the flavor was spot-on. My only minor wish is that the sauces could be just a tad spicier, but overall, it's highly recommended for a delicious and satisfying meal.
Was driving upstate from Queens and decides to stop here on the way as it was one of the only Halal places up north of the city. It wasn’t a bad choice, I’ve had Shahs in the City and it tastes similar to what you would get at carts in the city. Also the price is very affordable and portions are decent. Family tried the Philly cheese steak, lamb gyro and chicken & lamb over rice. I tasted everything and the rice dishes are superior to the others in my opinion. This chain is more authentic then halal guys for sure and I hope they can keep that authenticity as they expand. Still can’t beat the carts but this is worth the price and tastes better then other chains trying to take cart food and making it into sit down restaurants across the country.
Horrible inedible chicken nuggets. Not really chicken or even food. Maybe should have ordered something else but problem is first impressions stick and I can't imagine going back there. Got a can of lukewarm soda and was told they don't have a cup with ice?! Yes as many have said, staff is incapable of dealing with customers nicely and manager is impossible to understand but at least TRIED to be helpful.
