Best sandwich place west of DTLA? LA has so many sandwich places but only a few stand out. Even fewer stand out towards the east side of LA. Uptown is one. Everything is quality, the service is excellent and staff are like busy bees in this shop. The place is hot and rightfully so with their exquisite sandwich selections, sides and other little party provision items they add a breakfast sandwich and coffee to their menu.

Delicious sandwiches and super friendly staff. I had the turkey with avocado, my mom and dad ordered the tuna and my daughter ordered the kids turkey. It was very delicious and now that i know we can order ahead we totally will.

This place is absolutely worth the hype, the drive, and the wait! Some of the freshest ingredients and tastiest sandwich combinations I’ve had. Their gluten free bread is fantastic AND regular size. Run don’t walk - I can’t wait to go back :)

I have been wanting to try this place forever and absolutely loved it! My friend placed a pickup order for us, so I didn’t get to go in person, but the sandwiches were truly fabulous!

Excellent quality. Staff is friendly and welcoming plus professional. It is a very small place so it can get crowded. I'd call my order in and it was ready, thank goodness cause it was wall to wall people.

Hour wait, but worth it. The curry chicken salad sandwich was soooooo good as well as the veggie sandwich. Going back to try different flavors. Crispy bread. Quality ingredients. Potato salad was ok, not my cup of tea. Also, GREAT PRICES.

Awesome Reuben, the meat was tender the sauce to meat ratio was perfect. I highly recommend it. I went during a lunch rush so the wait time was a little over 25 min. Well worth the wait.

The best Reuben you’ll ever have. Turkey has a kick but it’s fantastic. I can’t believe how amazing this was. ORDER AHEAD. I saw people waiting 45 minutes in this small joint. However, worth the sandwich and drink variety. There’s a reason this place is the rumored best sandwich in LA!

I’ve ordered from this sandwich place a couple of times already. Every single time I’ve ordered a sandwich, it has never failed in being delicious The sandwiches are always crunchy and full of flavor. A good amount of protein is served. The ambience is chill yet lively at the same time. A great place for sandwiches. By the way, they have baked goods and they sell a variety of spices.

Sandwiches were amazing. Good quality bread and meats. There will be a bit of a wait if it's busy, but the sandwich is worth it. Mine was so big I ended up saving the other half for later. I am super picky on pastrami, but this one was tender and delicious. It comes out HOT!

What a wonderful shop - truly next level deli sandwiches — loved the egg salad. Very friendly and helpful staff and great vibe. Didn’t get any but great selection of Jeni’s ice creams too!

I've tried their sandwiches before but only stepped foot inside the deli for the first time today. The prime rib sandwich is delicious and I'd have it every week if possible. The Italian sandwich is also good and of course their egg sandwich is also popular. The service is simple and courteous. You can dine there or do takeout. You can also place an order ahead of time for pickup. There's only a few tables indoors but plenty of tables outside. The restaurant has an A food health safety rating. The restaurant also sells gourmet beverages, ice cream, and more.

Went with my family here and got a variety of sandwiches. All which were high quality and delicious My 100% favorite was the sandwich that had pastrami with egg salad. I think it was the Tom's Way sandwich Pastrami here was salty and super tender. Perfection Spicy gabbagool tasted like authentic Italian sandwich. I've never had authentic but im betting its on the money or close to it. Amazing sandwich I liked my sandwich which was the prime rib and bbq brisket but the broccoli slaw took me out of it a bit. I went in figuring it might. Don't care for sweet in a meaty sandwich. But if you like broccoli slaw I'd imagine you would love this sandwich. They have Stumptown products which are the best coffee products I've ever had so this place is a must try. Im gonna start hiking over here so I can get this place more often. My new favorite sandwich stop!

Best sandwich I’ve ever had. Seriously and not trying to blow smoke but I get it. I totally and completely get the hype. I’m raving to my coworkers about it. Telling my friends and family there’s this mom and pop in uptown with bomb sandwiches! The customer service just adds to an already delicious experience! Tysm for being in uptown! I love this city.🫶🏼

amazing sandwiches! loved sitting at the tables outside and enjoying them with friends. this spot has such a nice neighborly feel, i’m glad we could make the stop in on our drive from the south bay to big bear. while known for the sandwiches, the range of drinks (bottled dr pepper) and baked goods (chocolate donut cake) are not to be missed!

My first time trying their sandwiches, let me just say I'm happy I tried them out. The hubby and I ordered their Market Veggie Vegan & Vegan BLTA sandwich. Although I was skeptical about having asparagus in my sandwich, we went for it with an open mind and we're very happy with both choices!!

Found this place while staying at the Doubletree Hotel and needed something close! This place does NOT disappoint! Siena was patient as we made our custom sandwiches!! She was so customer oriented and did not appear annoyed at our specific tastes! Sandwiches were wonderful! There definitely was a steady stream of customers after just being open for 10-15 minutes! I say, a lot of customers means, it must be good food! Enjoy!

I was very excited to try a sandwich. I ordered the pastrami and my husband ordered the turkey. We waited 120 minutes for the sandwiches. When I asked why we had to wait so long. I was told the oven was too small and we ordered a hot sandwich. Honestly, it is such an easy fix. Please get the right equipment. The sandwiches are very tasty, but I will not wait that long again.

Found this place in a pinch while in town for an appointment. The food was amazing! Just the photo of the pastrami sandwich reeled me in! Definitely as good as it looks! Street parking is difficult, there's no designated parking for the restaurant and limited seating is available. Definitely not a comfy spot more like a little cafe or a quick diner. Not a place to hang out. The staff was friendly and helpful - just rushed because they were super busy. Pretty much self-serve except the sandwich, you're supposed to grab your own sides out of the cooler and your drinks. Definitely makes things more efficient but with awkward because I didn't understand that's how it worked when I asked about the sides. The potato salad was so-so. I'm an East coaster and I definitely enjoy a little bit more flavor to my potato salad, it was pretty bland to my tastes.

Food is really good. Tried the egg salad and Italian-ish. Recommend ordering online then picking up because it's very busy and the wait is long - about 20 minutes in line and 15- 20 minutes for food. The employees are friendly and the owner/manager checked in on customers.

3/5 for the prime rib and bbq sandwich. I’ve tried quite a few sandwiches in cali and by far this was quite disappointing. There was nothing special about the sandwich and the meat tasted like it was store bought. I’d like to try their other items though.

We had heard about this restaurant from the social media landscape of LA foodies who all recommended we come to this place unfortunately the hype is not real. Unfortunately the food was not as good as we expected and it when we came around noon. The line was out the door so we were very, very excited and unfortunately, either because or indirectly because of the weight the quality of the food was not what we had expected the sandwiches which we had expected to be hot or cold. The portioning of the ingredients was non-satisfactory and unfortunately, we were let down by this place because the egg salad sandwich was just not that good and that sandwich was dry and cold. And given the fact that we waited about 90 minutes for this food, we were shocked to see that the Quality of food was subpar.

The sandwiches aren't to bad but for $16 there shouldn't be the same amount of bread to whatever in between the slices. Also their not worth the 35+ min wait. Could've order Jimmy Johns online get about double the contents then bread at after the price ready in 5mins. Sorry but this is my last trip here. Just not worth the drive or money and service is as fast as a snail. Ordering online said ready in 15mins checked out with 1 sandwiche and 1 bag of chips now went to ready in 31mins. Got there at 1:15 and still waited another 10mins. You guys can keep your hipster sandwiches and your slow speed. I'll go back to getting my sandwiches at Jimmy John's I'm making them my damn self.

Ordered online, pickup time was 45 min later. Okay thats fine..lunch time on a Sunday. Took 90 minutes to actually get the 2 sandwiches. I get you are a small "mom and pop" shop but are you interested in making a profitable business or just wasting people's time? Sandwiches were fine, but unless you like standing in line and waiting in the sun for over an hour its not worth the experience. Get it together!
