SriPraPhai Williston Park Reviews
One of our family's favorite Thai restaurants. We have been there multiple times and the food is fresh, flavorful, and spiced to order perfectly. There are no bad choices, but our favorites include the curry puffs, calamari, drunken noodles, any curry, and other noodle dishes. Wait staff are friendly, attentive, and professional. Portions are generous and prices moderate.
Always delicious! The staff is friendly and attentive. The service is fast. The atmosphere is nice and clean. I'm always happy with my experience when I dine-in or order from here.
The best best best Thai food. Ever. Full stop. The end. Efficient service too. Google asked me to update this review since I was back for the time in many years (I moved out of state sadly). Yup. Just as mind blowing as ever.
My absolute go-to Thai spot! I've been going here for years and am never disappointed. Their crispy pork belly is delicious! If you're looking for delicious Thai food, try this spot. Check out my full review on Yelp!
My wife and I go here more than any other restaurant, since it is SO GOOD, and the atmosphere is modern and nice. Service is fast and friendly. I really cannot believe that some lousy reviews from 4 years ago are pulling down the rating. It should probably be averaging 4.8 to 5.0. You will know how good they are by just how busy the restaurant is, but they handle the volume and waits are short. My wife is Korean and we lived in Asia, and we love Thai food. This place beats other Thai restaurants in the area hands down. Frankly it is the best Thai we have had anywhere in the U.S. They have a great variety of exotic choices, and the classic curries and noodles are all excellent. We love the staff and they really take care of us.
One of my favorite Thai restaurants - delicious food and quick & courteous service. The tom-yum shrimp soup & fried bean curd (for appetizers) and the sautéed chicken pad gra-prow (for dinner) are a must try.
Just the best Thai food ever -so delicious! Service is wonderful and friendly and fast!
We love Red Curry with Tofu (Vegetarian), Cashew and Pineapple Chicken dishes. We order take out most of the times, but service must be great because restaurant is packed whenever I pickup my food. 😀
I usually don't write reviews - but this place deserves a good one. The food is really good and the customer service is amazing. We had an issue with our take out order tonight (not a big deal) - and the restaurant went above and beyond to fix it with the least inconvenience for us - while being super sincere in the process. Everyone messes up orders at some point, but I've never had a restaurant care so much about fixing one and it makes all the difference!
Great food, great atmosphere. Very very good food! Will be going back.
Yummy authentic Thai food!!! Best Thai food in my opinion. Gets very busy during normal eating hours so best to come on off times. Staff seems to be running around a lot since many tables/ people to serve so service could be better. Food is spicy. Would definitely recommend. Downsides are the wait and the small parking lot. There is street parking nearby though.
Only true Thai restaurant I’ve eaten at on Long Island. I’ve gone half a dozen times and really can’t wait to go back each time.
I orderd the Massaman curry with chicken($17), and let me tell you it was so delicious!!! Usually when I order chicken from places, I usually get small pieces. But the pieces of chicken were so big I thought they were beef at first! The only thing is that I wish an order of curry came with rice, but you have to order rice on the side, but not a big deal because the portion size is worth it. I also ordered the Tom Yum soup, and there were a lot of mushrooms in it, my favorite. Food is delicious, service is fast, and you get your money's worth!!!!! This is my new favorite thai food place.
Food was great. Appetizers were bigger than expected so don't order too much food.
Excellent food. Very flavorful. Good service and a nice clean place. Would definitely return. The only thing I did not like is that rice did not come with the dish and had to be ordered separately. Most Thai places give you rice either the dish. Otherwise I really liked the food. Ordered
This was easily some of the best Thai food I had ever had in my life. Service was speedy portions were plentiful, and staff and holes were particularly attentive and accommodating to our needs. Would definitely recommend this to anyone in the area or anyone passing through looking for a quick and affordable bite.
Extraordinary Thai cuisine. Excellent, outstanding and super professional customer service. Try the pad tai or the drunken noodles with minced beef as both are outstanding. The ginger chicken over rice with spicy ginger sauce for dipping is also a must try. The taro custard for desert is also outstanding. Restaurant is super clean as are the bathrooms. Highly recommended.
Authentic, delicious, consistent. Been going for years, the original in Woodside is great as well. Clean, quick, friendly staff. Watercress salad and curry puffs are a fave.
I love Thai food and eat it often, and this is by far the most delicious I’ve ever had. We’ve been back at least once a month since we found it
The drunken noodles were incredible, immediately, from the first bite. Red curry was good too. So happy to have found this local place and I can't wait to come back! Prices are very reasonable and it is a nice atmosphere upon walking in.
One of the best spots to grab GOOD vegetarian Thai food. Things that I absolutely loved (veg review): 1. They have a separate section (very rare) dedicated to vegetarian options and there is a good variety of vegetarian options. Love it!! 2. Food that I tried: -> vegetarian SPRING ROLLS. SO CRISPY. im not a fan of the dip that they give so we requested a fierey hot sauce and oh my that didn't dissapoint. So if you like a bit of a spice, then please request that as they generally dont serve that. ->TOM YUM SOUP: im not a soup person but boy oh boy do i love this one. Right amount of tangy and flavorful with variety of veggies!! Order with fried tofu and you'll love it. ->DRUNKEN NOODLES: quite literally puts you in the food coma. Again, dare to ask them to make it spicy and they might just actually serve hehe. MY FAV ON THE MENU!!!! one of the best noodles i have ever had.
Wifey wanted Thai and this place was in the area. Having never been didn’t know what to expect. Wifey always orders pad see ew with either beef or shrimp and she loved it. Says it tasted great. I got the appetizer combo figured it was the most bang for my money. I enjoyed everything except for the Thai chicken wings. The seasoning didn’t agree with my taste buds. But everything else on the plate was great. I also ordered the Thai iced coffee as I have been looking for a place that had it. Was a little too sweet and small serving size for $4. Service was great. Was seated as soon as we walked in. Staff were friendly and attentive. It was not too busy for dinner. I appreciated that there were other patrons inside. Decor was beautiful. Very clean and well lit. We will definitely be back but next time i wont they the Thai chicken wings.
Had a very tasty and authentic Thai meal here. I tried the drunken noodle and the grilled pork with sticky rice meal combo. The grilled pork with sticky rice meal combo was the star of the night. They also had a wide variety of traditional Thai desserts which are also available for purchase to take home. Very tasty. Will be back in the future!
I had an excellent dinner at SriPraPhai. I appreciate their very extensive vegetarian menu. The larb made with mushrooms is tangy and spicy. The crispy Chinese watercress salad is one of my favorite things on the menu. The veg. kao soy is delicious for those who like soupy curry noodles. The veg. green curry and papaya salad combo is very good and excellent value. Service is excellent. Parking lot is tight and a little hard to maneuver around.
Very nice dining space with great service and food. I got a black sweetened Thai iced tea and really liked it. The dumplings are a fun and paired with a great sauce, the chicken Satay was delicious and paired with and incredible peanut sauce. I got the seasoned pork’s over rice and it was perfect, large portion of deliciously spiced pork with cilantro and rice. This spot has a large menu with options for everyone that are worth a try.
Memorable Thai food experience. A large and welcoming tablecloth restaurant with a bar and plenty of seating. Very attentive, kind and quick service. The menu is broad and it is tempting to stick to the basics which will be delivered. I was pleased with my portion size and food was authentic. Dessert is a speciality to leave room for that. A great spot for date nite; group dinner or with friends. Enjoy, make a rezzy on the weekends. Large free parking lot next door is a plus!
This is my first time in the Long Island location and it's definitely as good as the Queen's location. Wonderful authentic Thai food. Two cases of simple desserts. We've had whole steamed fish, chicken penang, chicken larb, pineapple fried rice, mango jelly coconut dessert, banana sticky rice dessert (they heated it up). Good service.
Very good Thai food. Service is usually good and quick, however they have their very off days where the wait can be much longer than normal.. Update: food is still great, watch out for spiciness if you're sensitive to spice. Specify how spicy you would like items when you order!
SriPraPhai offers an extensive selection of Thai dishes. While the menu features numerous pages and photos—something I find a bit cheesy—the variety is impressive. I opted for the Thai-style beef stew over rice. The flavor was excellent, though the meat was a bit tough. On the positive side, the server was courteous and attentive. Overall, I recommend SriPraPhai for its flavorful dishes and good service.
I have taken my family to this place several times and it is always good. The service is always good. The prices are good. It is a great alternative to the usual pizza or Chinese discussion. They have a great variety of noodle dishes and appetizers. It's even better when you go with a group of 6 or 7 people because you can share more items. We don't drink alcohol, but they have a nicely stocked bar and a very small parking lot. I'd recommend this place to friends.
Delicious and authentic Thai food. This second location of SriPraPhai is alot smaller but has much nicer decor. It also had its own parking lot which is great. And unlike the other location this one takes credit cards. The menu is identical to the other location. They make a really delicious beef pad see ew and fried scallions. There's also a bar at this location so you can have drinks with your food. The staff is super friendly and attentive. I really love this restaurant. The only reason I haveo it four stars is that they never have the mango sticky rice dessert. Every single time it's not available. They might as well take it off their menu.
The Good: restaurant is spacious with many tables and seats. There is a full service bar, and everything seems clean and modern. There is also a small parking lot attached along with street parking. The location is convenient if you are looking for Thai food. Staff was courteous and quick with their service. Prices were also reasonable with large portions. The Mid: food was average. There are definitely better Thai restaurants with more flavor out there. The appetizers came out very quickly (which can be both a good and bad thing). The main complaint I have about the food is the lack of flavor and depth. It tastes like Thai food, but nothing I would rave about 🤷🏻♀️ The Bad: there’s nothing explicitly bad about this place, but also nothing amazing either. Just average. Recommendations: shorten the menu and focus on perfecting a few dishes. There were too many choices, with no stand outs. I would come back if I was really craving Thai food within 10 minutes from home, but definitely wouldn’t go out of my way to have it again.
Came here with a few friends, everyone loved their dishes. My pad Thai was a little too dry wish there was a little more sauce. Prices were great, servers were responsive and quick. Would definitely come back to try another dish! Helpful tip: They have a discount for takeout orders if you pay in cash.
I used to frequent this restaurant when I first moved in, however, truth be told have not been in quite some time. Disclaimer, we came pretty late and kitchen was closing soon after we arrived. We got our order in and waited for the food to arrive. Only a few parties inside at this time and by no means busy but again it was close to closing time. The food arrived and we noticed the drinks we ordered did not come to the table. No worries, figured it was still going to be made and would make its way to the table eventually. It didn't. The food was pretty dry, sauce with some punch and spice, but overall nothing I would come out of my way to have again. Got the check and charges for the drinks were included. Mentioned it to the waiter and he apologized profusely and brought out the corrected bill. Would have liked to receive all the items that we had ordered but things happen. Likely will not come back as there are pretty of other thai spots close enough with better prices and better tasting food.
Ordered take out from restaurant in wonder. Drunken noodles with tofu, flavor good, tofu delicious, noodles unevenly cooked with undercooked pieces throughout. Disappointing.
Food and service was fine but look out for the double service fee for large parties (5+). Their receipts will list an 18% mandatory “service charge” while also including that fee into the add’l “suggested tip.” If you don’t see the line-item, you’ll pay an extra 35%+ for your group meal.
Nicely decorated place with clean bathrooms. But the food was just ok. First of all, the menu was like a small book, too many items to look over. I had the Thai wings, the sauce was good, but the wings were not, they were the frozen nubs. I had the fried snapper, the veggie sauce on top was delicious, but the fish was fried so hard, I couldn't enjoy it.
Food can be good, but often inconsistent in quality. Overpriced for take-out, given what they offer - especially given small portion size + no rice. Much better Thai options around other parts of LI if you can drive.
I have eaten at dozens of Thai restaurants This food was mediocre, at best. Service was great until i gave 88 cents below the suggested 18% tip! The waitress began making annoyed faces and stopped responding to our requests. I wouldn’t return and judging by my waitress’s response, they are probably happy about that.
Super disappointed that this place my family used to frequent has gone so downhill. On the first visit back in years, we had to wait 45 minutes for entrees. We were completely ignored by the wait staff during that stretch of time, with no updates on the food or any acknowledgement until we asked about the food (repeatedly). The food finally came right when we were about to leave, and the waitstaff offered no explanation or compensation besides "we're really busy." Also witnessed other tables and takeout orders complaining about the ridiculous wait time and missing food. It's a real shame, since the food is great but not worth the poor service and waiting around.
I was really surprised to find that the curry dishes here don’t come with rice (you have to pay extra and order a side of rice)—it’s something I’ve never encountered before. At every Thai restaurant I’ve been to, rice is typically included with the meal, so this was definitely unusual. To make matters worse, there were fruit flies buzzing around the restaurant, which was honestly quite off-putting. As for the food itself, the green curry I ordered was extremely oily and lacked the authentic flavor I was expecting. Overall, it was a disappointing experience, and I definitely wouldn’t recommend this place to others.
Service is terrible. The man in front was obviously annoyed when I didn’t leave tip for a pick up order. Why would I leave tip when I’m picking up my own food? Very strange. Food is always mediocre. Also you have to pay extra for rice when you order a curry.. curry is meant to be eaten with rice, why charge extra for it? Makes sense to drive a little further into Queens for good Thai food.
Let me start off by saying my wife and I (girlfriend at the time) have been patrons since their original location in woodside which had a handful of tables. We have been bringing our kids to this location since this location opened. My mother last week mentioned that her food was spoiled. How she was never going back. I thought it was just her and had to go try for myself. Nope, the food was spoiled. We had chopped cucumbers with the satay, the cucumbers were mushy and the liquid tasted weird. My kids ate the satay so I hope those were ok. I had the coconut rice that tasted like it went sour in some parts of the rice. Papaya salad was bland. It truly is a shame. We had fond memories of going out on dates before the hype/expansion. There was one waitress that remembered us. She would always say, your usual. We would laugh. Til this day we still ordered the same food. She stayed there long enough to meet one of our kids. Please do better.
I ordered take out at this restaurant and it was the worst quality of service and food ever! The amount of money charged for our order was a joke and complete waste of my hard earned money! When I called to ask the gentleman who took our order if the food was ready when we arrived at the restaurant, he demanded that I need to pay first which was a red flag. I refused to do that and asked him to call me when the order was ready. When I went in the restaurant to pick up the food, the young skinny Oriental Thai waitress at the front was not welcoming, had no customer service skills, did not smile, and looked like she was mad with the world! I had to ask her for forks and napkins when that should have been automatically provided in the first place. She only gave 2 cheap small forks and 2 napkins like she was doing me such a huge favor to do so. Then I had to ask her for my credit card receipt which should have also been automatically provided to me as well. As per the food, the white sticky rice that came with the sweet and sour trout fish was wrapped in a small piece of plastic instead of being packaged in a proper food container! Even fast food restaurants package food properly and provide utensils with napkins! The shrimp fried rice only had a few pieces of shrimp in it. The iced Thai bubble tea was very small for the price charged! I called the restaurant right away and notified the gentleman who took our order of these discrepancies and all he barely said was sorry. This is completely unacceptable and a huge disappointment! They should be ashamed of themselves! Don't these people realize they are conducting a restaurant business in America but they want to be rich overnight by being a ripoff?? We told this gentleman to step it up and never provide the type of service he provided to us to other customers in the future! This was a complete rip off and would never recommend this restaurant for take out and dine in. Their lousy quality of customer service and food will kill the reputation of their restaurant!
Came in on a Saturday afternoon when the place was nearly empty. We put our basic orders in of an appetizer and two entrees. Three other parties sat down after us. All other parties were served and we had waited for nearly an hour without even receiving our appetizer or update on our food. When I asked they said it was coming. Finally I went up to leave and they said they didn’t have our order in. Waiters and waitresses were very rude from the moment we sat down and as we were leaving. Will not be coming back here.
The spot looks ok and it is big. They have their own parking. Servers are nice... but food is SO BAD I can't give more than 1 star. How can you prepare bland thai food? Nothing tasted like anything at all. If they started seasoning food and buy a little better quality protein... it would be a no brainer.
Authentic ingredients and dishes. The particular day I was there the food was not good. We were given the incorrect drink order. One of our dishes came out nearly 20 minutes after the rest of them even though it was ordered at the same time. We confirmed the number of dishes with the server but they still did not get our order correct. Spicy dishes were not spicy at all. Food was overly salty but our party had enough and just wanted to leave. All we got was a sorry and we couldn't even tip less for our bad experience because it was automatically added to the total. We won't be back.
According to the owner, the customer is not right. The food here is good but inconsistent. I ordered a red curry - and specifically asked for not spicy. The curry was not just a little spicy it was very spicy and it was watery. It looked more like tom yum soup. When I called to say that is what I was given, the owner called me back and told me that I should've ordered the panang curry and everyones spice pallet it different. The thing is I've ordered the red curry from here before and really enjoyed it and I wouldn't have ordered from here if I thought it was too spicy. But according to the owner my pallet is incorrect today. I even offered to come back and return the curry but he basically said no. Really disappointed with the customer service. I basically had to throw 18 dollars in the trash. I will add a photo later
Ordered the crispy egg noodles (vegetarian) for take out. Two issues. The first is the portion which I’ve attached a photo. This will barely feed one adult. The second issue is on the menu, it is noted with a (S) which I thought meant ‘spicy.’ It has no spicyness at all. Maybe it means ‘small!’
Their service went bad: called them at 8:10 for dine in at 8:30pm , they said kitchen closing. So rushed and ordered something. While we were about to leave I saw people checking in around 8:55 and still ordering food. Ridiculous!!!!
I have come here often with my family on special holidays, but no longer. I don’t know what has happened in the past few years but service is absolutely abysmal now. My family and I went to SriPraPhai to celebrate Mother’s day. After appetizers, we waited over FORTY minutes waiting for our entrees. We weren’t the only table waiting — at least three other tables complained about the long wait. The wait staff insisted that they were back up… then, why do I see so many take out orders going out when multiple tables are sitting waiting for their food? One of the waitresses brought out our rice and insisted that our food will be out soon. (Spoiler: it was not. It took another 20 minutes after that and, by then, the rice was cold as our table wanted our rice with the curry we ordered.) Two tables next to us came in 10 minutes after us and yet they not only got all their food before us, but also had their to-go/left-over containers before we got our entrees. Management and servers refused to even give a slight discount on our dinner, stating, “If I give you a discount, I would have to give everyone waiting a discount.” Actually, yes, that’s called decent customer service — when you make so many different tables/parties wait so long, that’s what you should do. We were actually going to walk out when the entrees finally came out after 40 minutes. All in all, food is decent, but not worth the wait. The lack of proper service is worse than the wait, and more easily preventable. For this lack, this restaurant just lost a repeat customer. There are restaurants with better food for cheaper prices that don’t treat their customers badly. Better to patron those.
Ordered tofu dishes from here and it was Not Tofu. How could someone take someone else's free will to not participate in this death CULTure? They infringed on my Free Will
Why was there no rice with my entree? That is completely unacceptable for a 20 dollar small curry. This is the first Thai restaurant I have ever seen do that. I expect an answer .
After 15 years of going there this was our last time. Good bye the good kind and friendly service, good bye tasty savory food. We haven’t had such a bad experience with both service and food ever! The waiter was arguing about the food and then he said if you want to change let him know…? Sure we won’t! Some kind of major change took place there. Bad experience. Last time visit.
My experience was horrible. My server gave me attitude from the moment I walked into the restaurant. She took forever to take our order, I ordered soup and it wasn't up to standard so I asked for a different soup with no hesitation she told me no. I asked several times again and she ignored me with attitude. Her boss gave the ok but she still had an attitude not wanting to give me the soup . She then went ahead and ignored my table the entire time. Im truly disappointed. I ended up leaving unhappy and hungry. I tried asking her for her name but she continued to ignore me please don't come here. Especially if your black.
Quality has gone down. Been ordering from here for years. 2/3 ordered through doordash and the green curry smelled old. It had that old smell from the first bite, must be a vegetable they added or some thing was bad. Very disappointed because they are not cheap! My bill was almost $100. Food should be edible and fresh- Really disappointed.
I had been ordering from here almost weekly on and off for years. Last time I ordered, the chef screwed up my order. I called and explained, spoke super respectfully, but was treated like garbage by the man on the other side of phone, who screamed "sir please stop talking!", when I was speaking calmly and not talking over him. His argument was that my order wasn't very good, that I asked for a dish to be spicy that is more delicious not. Are you kidding me? I had been a loyal customer for a long time, never caused any trouble, was always respectful. The one time I had a problem with my order, that wasn't even my fault - it was the chef that screwed up, they treated me horribly. I'm not coming back here. Also, sometimes there are egg shells in the food, including this last time. In the past, I never even brought this up because I'm not really someone to make a big deal, hence why this was the first time I actually complained about something, as it was glaringly a problem. But if you don't want egg shells in your meal and don't want to be refused a refund when the chef makes a mistake (or at least just re-make it for me and let me come back to pick it up so I can have a dinner tonight), then don't come here.
I reserved a table for 16 people for my child’s birthday and reconfirmed the reservation by phone the day before. However, when we arrived with our guests, the restaurant was closed due to snow, with no prior notice. While I understand weather-related concerns, notifying guests with existing reservations is basic and necessary. Having everyone show up only to find the restaurant closed was very disappointing.
I order takeout from this place very often, and we have a similar order every time. My family likes their Thai wings, but today’s order was absolutely unacceptable. The wings were burnt and black. Only 2 wings were “acceptable” enough to consume, and the rest had to be thrown in the trash. The other items in the order were also very spicy, and we didn’t order it this way. I don’t know what went wrong on their part, especially because the restaurant didn’t seem that busy tonight.
