Nancy's Cafe Willows Reviews
A classic diner with just enough bells and whistles to pack a punch even in 2019 and if you are a connesuir of airplanes ! A great spot just off the highway with fully functional airstrip behind the cafe, so incase are in hurry bring your own plane and fly !! We stopped for gas nearby and decided to walk in for breakfast. The omelette are fluffy and well cooked. Hashbrowns are non greasy and avoidable, fries are better. Coffee is great as always but not a speciality by itself. Fruit bowl is yummy. Fun and interesting quotes all around with fine ambience. Enjoy your time at the airport cafe and learn about the history of airplanes from the walls.
First time here and we will definitely be back. The breakfast was delicious. The staff was very friendly and the atmosphere was great! Highly recommend!
I have eaten here a few times before. The lunch was great each. I had the beefeaters sandwich with coleslaw on the side. It definitely hit the spot after being on the road for a few hours. Nancy's is right next to a small airport. Pilots can park their planes nearby and walk over to Nancy's. This a mom and pop operation, in a older building. The interior walls are decorated with photos of airplanes and other aviation memorabilia. You could spend a lot of time just looking at what is posted on the walls. Sorry didn't get a picture of my sandwich. However I did get a photo of the outside and a commemorative plaque which is in the parking lot.
Tricia is the queen of waitress'! When we came in we were the only customers and she chatted us up and treated us like family. Later when 5 or 6 more tables filled up she just as friendly and fun to everybody while still fast and efficient! Great onion rings too.
Wonderful place with all the Nostalgia pictures. Old advertisements of learning how to fly for a Dollar. It’s very quaint and the food is outstanding. It’s Breakfast and Lunch only so get there early. They close at 3pm.
Amazing place to stop. A fan favorite in my family for their breakfast on a long drive up I-5 or after pheasant hunting in Willows. Always have consistently good food with the kindest staff members.
Best pie and coffee around. Trisha was really nice. I ordered milk shake and fries. There was a nice seating area outside to relax after a long drive. Amazing airplane memorabilia!
We needed a pet friendly restaurant for lunch while we charged our electric car at a nearby EV charging station. Nancy's fit the bill. They have a nice, covered patio at the back of the building, which overlooks the Willows airport. They serve breakfast all day, as well as salads, sandwiches, burgers and some entrees. The service was kind and efficient, and the food was hearty and tasty. They gave our dog a bowl of water. My husband was able to walk and get the car when charging was done and then we were on our way. Seems like a popular spot with locals but also easy access off the freeway for travelers. Highly recommend! .
Superb food and service. Highly recommended. Try the broasted chicken. One of the best. Served with fries or mashed potatoes. Salad or soup. Garlic bread or cornbread. Dont forget to ask pies for dessert. Apple pie was my favourite. Blackberry pie a bit to tart for me. Will definitely visit again.
Great location! This little airport is where the 1st Air Tanker came from for fighting fires in 1955. Restaurant is full of great old photos. Food was excellent, breakfast served all day. Closes at 8pm. Back in Willows, back at Nancy’s! Had lunch this time. Great again. Had breakfast with Mimosas the following day. The locals eat here so you know it’s good! Service is excellent! It’s the only place I want to eat in Willows, or at The Last Stand! Back in Willows in January, back at Nancy’s for breakfast and lunch! Waitress, Trisha sang Happy Birthday to my daughter with a free piece of pie! So nice! She sure has a lovely voice! Love this place.
Found this wonderful place while working in Princeton, Ca. Willows was the closest town with hotels. Looked for breakfast near me and found Nancy's Airport Cafe. Food was hot, fresh and as ordered. Service was outstanding and it's a interesting location. So, if your out there or near or passing through Willows, check out Nancy's.
When you want a plate loaded with a hearty breakfast, this is the stop that you need to make! I was recently traveling through California and looking for something other than a chain with some quality thick 🥓 They were very hospitable and the server was very prompt, quick on the coffee refills, and checked up on you throughout my dining experience.
Shaded patio seating available - dog friendly. Service was great & food delicious. I had fish & fries, husband had bacon & eggs finished off with apple pie. 2 small planes landed while we we eating & they came on in for a bite as well. We’d definitely stop again. Easy parking for RVs & semis
Great AC on a hot day, bring a sweater. Friendly staff, gave me suggestions. Lots of "pie talk." Ordered a couple slices to go. I had crispy chicken salad, hubby had breakfast skillet. My diet Pepsi was good, tried hubbies coffee, fantastic.(Easy parking for our 50' RV) Big rigs too.
A friend and I flew up to Willows today. We stopped in at Nancy's Airport Cafe, and ate breakfast. Cool little Cafe just off the runway. They were busy, so I excepted the wait at our table, and took in the vibe😎. We ordered the Bev omelet, Belgium waffle. All was good. Did not get a chance to try the pies, next time. #Justhavingfun When in the area, check out Nancy's, great menu selections.
This little local eatery was recommended by locals. Supporting the local businesses is what I seek out when I’m traveling. We missed eating here the first night we were staying in Willows. However, tonight we ate here. The café itself had a clean and spacious dining area, with booths by the window and plenty of seating. Here’s the tuff part ,we were sadly disappointed that several of the menu items were not available, they had run out. With a large and diverse menu, you would not expect to have a salad unavailable or potatoes, baked or mashed. Also, the Broasted Chicken item I wanted was only served on weekends, though no mention of that was on the menu. So that coupled with the missing critical side dishes offers me no opportunity for anything other than the three star rating. Sorry! I will add that the server was attentive and courteous. However,I will commit to come in some other time in the future to give them a second opportunity to do better, because I saw that their pies were homemade, that’s what the carrot is. The meatloaf dish I ate filled me up!
