*** The Best Grill Cheese I Ever Had *** This was my first time at New York Grilled Cheese. The service was great but be prepared to wait a while for your food. After eating here and tasting my grill cheese sandwich, I can see now why it was so crowded. The food was definitely worth the wait. I had the Village Vegan sandwich. It literally melts in your mouth. I've had many grill cheese sandwiches in my life and this one was absolutely the best I've ever had. Highly Recommend. 5 stars!

I visited New York Grilled Cheese Co. tonight and ordered the Blue Buffalo sandwich with a mushroom bisque instead of the usual tomato soup. The sandwich was delicious, with tender chicken strips, tangy buffalo sauce, and melted blue cheese on sourdough bread. The mushroom bisque was a pleasant surprise, as it had a clear broth with a sweet flavor that complemented the sandwich well. I think it was a better choice than the tomato soup, but I know some people might disagree. The waiter was friendly and seemed happy that I enjoyed the food. I would recommend this place to anyone who loves grilled cheese and wants to try something different. It was a satisfying and flavorful meal that hit the spot.

Went for a special occasion on a weeknight. Employee with curly black hair was very attentive, and sweet. Originally went for the poutine but ended up liking the other items I ordered more; wall street grinder, blue Buffalo, Truffle fries, garlic fries, even the tomato soup. I have zero interest in tomato soup and I loved it. And the commercials on the tv are hilarious, even though they're repeated. Please open one in Kendall or dade. I'm too far away from you. :(

Definitely going back! Upon entering this establishment you are immediately greeted and seated. Our server was Andrew and he did not disappoint! Andrew was patient and of course knowledgeable of the items on menu, even mentioned his favorite " 5th Avenue" -which was very good. I had the Vegan Poutine and it was delicious! I loveeeee this place! We were greeted by Aaron, and he is just the absolute BEST! The food is amazing with many options of grilled cheese sandwiches and the fries are fire. I opted for the basic one, but basic it was not! I paired it with glass of Prosecco and had a great time here. It looks small from the outside but it extends all the way to the back. Our server was very attentive and helped us make some pretty bomb choices. The bacon lollipops were interesting, the fries were covered in all that cheesy goodness, and the grilled cheese was mouth watering.

If there is one spot that I recommend after a night at the club, it is DEFINITELY this spot! The food choice were amazing! Always great late night food or when you need that grilled cheese fix. Don’t forget the tomato soup - it’s equally delightful and complements all the grilled cheese sandwiches. Be prepared to have greasy fingers after eating but it’s finger licking good. I especially love the recent seasonal additions to the menu. So even if you’ve had most the menu, there’s always something new to try.

GPS has it on the opposite side of the road it's a small little shop but I heard him say there's more seating in the back they're unique grilled cheese sandwiches I have the turkey and it was excellent... The sweet potato fries came with a marshmallow cake I would have liked barbecue instead

The bacon lollipop dogs were recommended by our server. So glad we took his recommendations not only was it a bacon wrapped hot dogs but they had maple drizzle on them. Wow!!! We decided on the meat packing district grilled cheese and an extra order of tomato bisque soup. We also had the new york soho fries. Everything was delicious.

Do you like cheese grilled like they do in New York? Then you'll love this place! This place is a treasure! One of the best little restaurants on Wilton Drive. There are so many creative options for grilled cheese sandwiches. We got the chicken parm style and the steak and mushroom style. Reasonably priced, great service, and they're open late til 4am.

I have been ordering New York Grilled Cheese since 2019. This was my first time ever dinning in here. It’s super comfortable, I have tried the blue buffalo with tomato bisque and it’s to die for. Now that I’m a vegetarian, I tried the village vegan and it’s okay! But, I think it’s because I paired it with tomato bisque. The waffles fries with vegan mushroom bisque was honestly to die for. I would recommend for a group of vegans to order multiple orders of the mushroom waffle fries.

The guy who was serving us, never got his name was so nice and sweet. The food came quick, the restaurant was clean and when we went it was slowly starting to get busy. If you're in the area, definitely stop buy.

The most wonderful grilled cheese I have had in my LIFE. Garlic cheese fries were unforgettable. Sweet potato fries with the marshmallow sauce were lightly sweet and could have been a desert.

Probably the best grilled cheese I’ve had in my life. All of them come with a creamy tomato sauce to dip in. Very comforting after a night out on the strip. I will say the Mac and cheese is a pass, but do yourself a favor and get a grilled cheese at 1:00am before you stumble home.

NYGC is a great spot in the core of Wilton Dr, and has become a must stop when we visit Ft Lauderdale or Wilton Manors. Great sandwiches, great dipping bisque, great recipes too! Didn't take pics because we devoured them, but the sweet potato fries with the marshmallow dip was insanely addictive. Special mention to Soho sweet was great, the combination of sweet onions and brie. And last but not least, the staff was very friendly, nice, and quick.

All I can say is OMD my food was AWESOME and they've added some new goodies to the menu since my last visit! As usual the service was good, the restaurant was clean and on their COVID protocal and I witnessed our server wipe everything down after each customer... I’m not a fan of grilled cheese but this place made me like it!! I ordered trough uber eats, it took almost 1hr. But worth the wait. The only problem is, it’s not fresh anymore. This place is amazing, the sandwiches' are delicious. My favorite was the garlic fries. The aroma as they were placed on the table was to die for. We were served by Gus, he was by himself but was great at handling the diners that were there. I can not recommend this place enough, you have to make a trip there and see Gus and have an amazing grilled cheese.

We got the Time Square Pizza Melt and the Brooklyn Porkster. They were both wonderful! The staff was very attentive, pleasant and helpful. This is a must if you even mildly enjoy grilled cheese sandwiches. The only surprise was from seeing the awesome clean branding online but walking into the restaurant I was surprise by the floors, and bathroom which could use some updating to fit the brand better. Just my thought.

I didn’t even mind that we had to wait a little longer when the online order didn’t work, the food was that good and people were very kind. They even gave us extra fries and bisque for the wait! The village vegan and the mushroom bisque are all-too-rare reminders that vegan comfort food can still taste amazingly satisfying. The way the bread is brushed with garlic herb oil just takes it to the next level. Partner had the Jersey pizza steak melt and tomato bisque, equally delicious.

I really enjoyed the one in boca but 3 consecutive times our to-go orders got worse and worse and every order was close to $100 each time especially with tip ,which had happened over a month period. When we spoke to management they were rude and didnt help us out. This one in Wilton manner was GREAT and we really appreciated them doing such a good job that it restored some faith and made us feel more inclined to order their food even if it was at a different location. One of my favorite go to meals as a child was of course Grilled Cheese. As I got older I added a cup of Tomato Basil soup to that go to menu. Yesterday I finally had a chance to visit and I was just like a little girl perched at the tip of my seat excited to see the grown up version of My GO TO MEAL… I ordered the Broadway and it was delicious. I think what made the experience even more gratifying was the happy welcome when I walked in. I was of course caught up in taking my pictures for the review and each time I was approached by the staff I giggled as I was either snapping a picture or getting a call talking about how I was excited to finally be at the location. The funny part is I left happy and excited to have eaten. Later on that evening we went to a Halloween party down the street and about 1:00 in the morning we ended up at the same location. Normally I don’t return in less than 12 hours maybe 12 days… so for me to have the same feeling and enjoy another moment here fulfilled my love for grilled cheese and tomato bisque… staff was busy and although the morning team was amazing the night team was courteous but not as friendly as before. At the end our waiter referenced was it better than the Broadway earlier? I realized he was paying attention but with so many people who were either dressed in costume, a few drinks in and no seats available, he was just busy and deserved the same accolade as the morning waiter. Just for the record I had the Wall Street Grinder.. so in fairness the Broadway was a 10 for me but the Wall Street Grinder 9.75 because I was exhausted from dancing… To make sure… I am planning another trip back soon as I am dreaming (literally dreamed) of the bacon lollipops… we added fries too last night but the couple next to me ordered theirs with all the works and I almost got the urge to reach over and grab a piece of theirs. For now this place is delectable! And I am planning to bring my adult kids with me next time as I feel the years of grilled cheese meals at home just went to another level…

Only been here twice and I’m in love! First, the place was nice and clean both times I went and the server was also very nice and attentive. Now…THE GRILLED CHEESE😍 so so so good and even the tomato bisque (and I don’t even like tomatoes) I had the Broadway Classic and the Time Square Pizza Melt, they are both 10/10.

Warning: This place has a plethora of cheese. Hope that's your thing. My dish did not fall short in the cheese department! My Mac and Cheese w/bacon Grilled Cheese Sandwich was hot, ooey gooey, creamy, fatty, scrumptious, and CHEESY! The waffle style bread was crunchy and perfect. My waffle fries on the side were crunchy, but was missing seasoning. A 98 yr old man once gave me advice to "Toast your bread and add ingredients to it". I think I did that today. Also, I will add this place is in dedication to an unforgettable spirit "Magic" Michael Entenza, he passed too soon at age 24. I was greeted immediately when I walked in the door, and was free to seat myself. My server made recommendations on the menu and was personable throughout my visit. The menu has plentiful choices and shows considerations for dietary needs suck as vegan, vegetarian, and gluten conscious. Dining room may be petite, but the environment and decoration on the walls keeps your mind busy. I love this neat little place!! Can't wait to come back.

Get it while you can! Apparently they are (sadly!) closing by end-of-year. This is just a fantastic late-night comfort food post-club (or frankly anytime in the afternoon onwards) spot for every type of grilled cheese hybrid concoction Mac and cheez etc. Delish! Affordable and super filling/decadent grub.

The food here is amazing, you can't go wrong with any of the options on the menu. Also recommend getting extra tomato bisque because you'll want to have more later. The wait for the food was pretty quick, I'd say around ~5-10 minutes and the staff were professional.

The food was absolutely delicious!!! From the fries to the grilled cheese. But the real star of the show is the amazing tomato bisque. Get the bigger bowl. Trust me. It turns your grilled cheese sandwich up a notch, one couldn't think to dream of. Everytime I visit, I'll be sure to stop in!

This is definitely good late night hang-over food. However I was sober and still enjoyed it a lot. Portions are large. The tomato bisque is really really good. The dessert, meh.

A hidden gem for a delicious grilled cheese sandwich kicked up a notch. I was greeted warmly and was instructed to sit anywhere I liked. There are plenty of fantastic looking sandwiches on the menu and fries too! I ordered the gobbler grilled cheese which had dressing or stuffing,American cheese and cranberry aioli and slow cooked turkey which could have been a bigger portion and less stuffing since this was in between bread for the price of almost $16 .Grilled cheese sandwich is grilled in a waffle iron which gives it the unique shape … I loved it ! Served with a flavorful tomato bisque in various sizes from small which comes with it for an additional price.My gobbler was delicious oh yes it also comes with a side of hearty gravy for dipping. I would highly recommend trying anything on the menu, There was a sweet potato fries option served with a marshmallow fluff for dipping which sounds very good. Stop in and give it a try

Great food, delicious and tasty!!! They have single person open gender restrooms, modern and very clean. The service was decent and the ambiance was very enjoyable. The homemade tomato soup is a great side for Every Sandwich they have.

It's a small place, there might be some more seating in the back because it looked like it continued down a hallway or maybe just the bathroom. It feels cramped and darker than it really is. The place itself is clean and nicely decorated. It's not wheelchair accessible and parking could be an issue because of the location. The food is definitely not healthy or vegetarian but you kind of know that going in. The tomato bisque was amazing and the classic as well as the fifth ave sandwiches were utterly delicious. In total we paid around $40 for two. A little pricey for what most people would consider fast food or comfort food, but for the area and for the times now it seems appropriate. Definitely recommended.

let me start by saying i love NYGC but my last visit late Friday night was just a disappointment. for starters, they only have a limited menu - fine, less time picking what to order. what really bothered me was that it wasnt too busy however it took the waiter 30mins to take our order (for some reason the party who came after us was served 1st and obviously got their food 1st). i was literally about to get up and leave when he finally came over. after he took our order, it took almost 1 hr for our food to come, and my brisket still managed to be cold somehow. I'm very upset about this experience Brie Waffleton 😭

Grew up on here when I use to live back in South Florida in my 20s (now 32) and I recently came and visited October 2025. I always get the Manhattan grilled cheese and its gone from cheesey gooey to just dry. Not to mention the price increase over time. Unfortunately just not a place that'll be on my must go visit when I go home anymore.

Over priced, the place was packed and not clean. Just because they are open till late you’re paying like premium. I won’t come back.

Food was good but not great however everything we ordered was hot.

I have been to this location several times and I usually have a good experience. But my experience was far from what I expected from this location. I was in the neighborhood working a festival and decided I would drop in and get one of those grilled cheese sandwiches and soup that I love so much. I went in and even though it took quite some time before I was able to place my order Togo, I didn’t mind waiting because I knew I was going to enjoy my food. After I placed my order I sat down to wait. Then a server came by carrying a ridiculous amount of drinks on a tray. He walked by me and a large cup fell off his tray into my lap burst open and the drink went all over me. At this point I couldn’t believe what just happened. He said sorry and walked off to the back as if he had just bumped into me and didn’t drop a whole tray of drinks. I’m standing there dripping wet with very little acknowledgement. He didn’t so much as offer me a paper towel or anything. Then another worker comes out and hands me and my co-worker our meals and she tells him How the server just dropped a drink all over me and he says “ that sucks” and walks away. Now mistakes do happen but at the very least I expect acknowledgment and some accountability. For that reason, I give this visit three stars. The food was good but it would have been a lot better if I didn’t have to eat it soaking wet and spend the rest of the day working outside miserable.

The service is horrible the guy that was there today was really annoying as he kept bothering us and trying to push us to get more things and was pretty aggressive. He also told us the fries where on special today and when I looked at the bill he charged us full price. Anyway the garlic fries sucked the sprinkle a little cheddar and some garlic on top and thats about it dont get it. Not worth the extra 4 dollars if you want just fries. The grilled cheese was okay just because of the tomato soup which I have to say was really good. Wish that guy wasnt there down your throught it was very unpleasant. Also while sitting down and talking to my friend he just kept interrupting us and tried to clear off our plates when half the other stuff where full. Felt like he wanted us out of there. I wont be returning here anytime soon.

After a disappointing Monday visit to a closed restaurant. I decided to come back with my friend, her 2nd time. I can see why they're closed on Mondays. The restaurants are losing business. It was only two parties when we got there. However, the quality of the melts has gone down big time. The mpd had a lot of meat but not enough cheese, sauce and all bread. The place has very much changed drastically over the years compared to 2017 - 2018! Magic Mike is truly missed R.I.P! The old NYGC pre - pandemic was when the food was actually better. The restaurant also downsized big time but still pretty inside. 3 out of 5 stars and that's only because our waiter was kind.

My Sprite was cold- that's about all the good I can say. Burnt and slimy sandwich. Mushroom soup was awful. Positive note: the tomato bisque was slightly better than awful. The back dining area that we were escorted to looked like a construction zone- unpainted plaster around the bathroom doors, the walls had alot of damage, a large pile of construction supplies and debris just outside the back entrance. (Hint: finish rehabbing the place before you open for business). Had a good view of the kitchen from my uncomfortable stool- not everyone was wearing gloves while preparing food. Kitchen appeared to be hot- staff was wiping thier brow with thier hands. I didn't finish my sandwich after that. Anyone looking for a prime resturant location? - because this place will close soon. I'm adding this section after seeing the unprofessional response to my review from the management. In your response, you say that I need meds and therapy. It's amazing that you can diagnosis a customer's problem but you can't see the problems within your own business. Those are desperate words when you have no explanation or defense of the condition of your shop nor the behavior of your kitchen help. The food was mediocre at best and watching the kitchen help made my stomach turn. Are you even denying that the back dining area is a construction zone? However, feel free to evaluate my mental health if I ever eat there again. And you can bless your heart.

I am Vegan. Unfortunately they did not use Vegan cheese in my grilled cheese. Nor did they grill it with vegan butter or oil. Had to throw it into the trash. NOT VEGAN. ☹️ Update: I purchased a total of 4 sandwiches. 2 other people complained about their grilled cheese sandwiches as well. They said that there sandwiches where Way to salty. And they could not finish them either.

As for the food, it was good. However, the service was absolutely terrible. If there’s was an option for even a lesser or negative points, I’d go for it. Since we enter the waitress had an attitude towards us. NOW! My friend rushed to used the restroom while we waited our other friends. We were a 6 people party but 2 of us arrived first. The waitress was eager to ask if I was going to order “yes or no, because the restroom is exclusive for customers” . I let her know we were waiting for other people. She had a very condescending attitude and definitely a tone that got slightly better whenever the rest of the people joined us. Additionally when the rest of the party arrived and wanted to relocate to the back of the location for larger tables, again push back about that option. Another of the guys order some fries like we saw in another table. Those had toppings, and right again the tone spiked because she already placed the order. At the end, despite the push-back, the fries came up with the toppings. What was the need for arguing if a simple order could be fixed? . It was a very uncomfortable situation from beginning to end. I often go to the Boca Raton location and the atmosphere’s difference was palpable. Pretty unpleasant experience

I ordered on Uber eats and this is what I received. I can’t believe they would let something like this leave their kitchen! There is no excuse for something like this. You really don’t care about your establishment serving food like this. Looks like it was driven through the mud and then set on fire. I’m extremely upset with my purchase. I normally don’t do reviews but the current and new customers really need to see this. I order from them all the time, it became a weekly routine. I don’t know what’s going on?? If you guys were looking to lose a customer, you won that battle today.

After 6 years of living in Fort Lauderdale, I finally tried NYGC. And disappointed is being kind. I got the Times Square (it was to go so I got marinara on the side so it wouldn't get soggy). $13 for a grilled cheese that was more like grilled bread. There was 1 piece of mozzarella on my sandwich and it didn't even cover the bread. The pepperoni tasted like typical store bought. The bisque that it came with was just not right. The flavor was ruined by a heavy handed pouring of chicken broth/stock. It felt like I was eating a weird orange chicken soup. Sorry guys, just not worth it, especially for what you charge...
