Casa Mexico Winter Park Reviews
Had a great time here. Very welcoming. Food and margs delicious! We had tequila shots out of a hoof!! Would recommend!!!
Came in with a big group (13 people) on a busy Saturday night, and Casa Mexico delivered. Our server (Miguel) was friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient, which helped us have a fun and easy experience. The food was great, and the margaritas were even better. This was a highlight of our stay in Winter Park!
Miguel was the best bartender ever! The drinks were fabulous and we had the best homemade tequila shots ever. This man deserves a raise! Best experience in winter park!!
Vegan friendly. The staff seemed knowledgeable. The beans have no lard, the rice has no chicken broth, the guac has no sour cream. Mezcal marg was tasty. No split checks fyi
Perfect place to get a hearty Mexican meal after skiing all day. They accommodated our 19 person party as though we were part of the family. The service was remarkable. The steak tacos and queso were a highlight! Thank you Jorge for your hospitality.
Casa México is an absolute delight. We were here a little while ago but I wanted to ensure I shared our positive experience. We loved the food so much we even went back for a To Go order! The staff and environment are so warm and welcoming. Esteban and Imelda were wonderful to talk to throughout and after our meal. They even helped me with my Spanish. The steak fajitas were to die for as were the enchiladas. We got to wear authentic Mexican hats and were offered some of their home made reposado tequila. You absolutely must visit this place when in Winter Park and they also have amazing lunch specials. Thank you Esteban and Imelda!
Miguel was absolutely fantastic! He was prompt, friendly, and made the whole experience so fun and memorable. He took pictures of us in sombreros, kept the energy up all night, and even served homemade tequila shots out of a hoof. It was truly an awesome experience and one I’d highly recommend. Thank you, Miguel, for such a memorable evening at Casa Mexico!
Super delicious molcajete! The staff was so friendly! Such a fun environment Definitely recommend getting Mexican food here
This place was awesome!! we’re a big group and they accommodate us quick with no problem. Eduardo took care of us. good timing on drinks and food! such a good vibe. i got caldo 7 mares.. FIRE. well definitely be back! 🍻
Came in with a large group and the staff was genuinely welcoming. No attitude, no stress, they actually seemed happy to have us. Eduardo took great care of us and made everything run smoothly. Super friendly, attentive, and on top of things the whole time. The rest of the staff was also very kind and helpful. Food was really good and came out without issues even with our group size. Definitely recommend this place for big groups and anyone looking for good Mexican food with great customer service. Easy five stars.
When we showed up with a party of 20 people for a 4 years old birthday party they were very accommodating. The service was very friendly and Miguel and the rest of the staff went above and beyond to make sure the day was special. I would recommend Casa Mexico if you are looking for great service.
Casa Mexico is hands-down one of my favorite restaurants in Winter Park—honestly, in the whole valley. The staff is consistently warm, kind, and welcoming, and the food is always fresh and delicious. Recently, I hosted a birthday dinner for my boyfriend here (he’s also a huge fan), and they went above and beyond to make it special. Our reservation was for a large group, but even when more people showed up than expected, the team handled it with ease and grace—what could have been a stressful situation turned into a smooth, enjoyable evening. I also want to mention something about the negative reviews: in my experience, Casa Mexico is consistently excellent. Sometimes people who leave one-star reviews are hard to please anywhere, and that’s definitely not a fair reflection of this restaurant. Casa Mexico is amazing—great food, exceptional service, and always a welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommend!
Wow! The food, the service, and the ambiance were absolutely outstanding. Their house margaritas were delicious, and the in-house tequila shots (on the house!) were the smoothest I’ve ever tasted — hands down the best tequila I’ve ever had. My kids devoured their entire plates, even with the generous portions — it was just that good. They even let us wear their beautifully decorated sombreros for a fun family photo. We’ll never forget our experience here. This place truly went above and beyond. Highly recommend!
The “Pollo Loco” was so good, it’s got a bit of a kick. The horchata was absolutely delightful. I recommend it. They seem to have lots of little fees (like first chips and salsa is free and the next costs money, and there are fees for splitting plates) but they didn’t seem to enforce it (it probably would have brought my rating down if they had). Staff was very friendly.
We've been here before, but this was our first visit in a couple of years. The food was very good, just the right degree of spiciness, and they seem to have expanded their menu since our last visit. I was really impressed by the music--very contemporary, sort of like a Latin alternative.
I had the sunset margarita which was tasty but spicy which was unexpected. I had their chicken fajitas which were okay. I'm used to a lot more flavor in fajitas back home in Arizona. I would not order them again. They bring you queso as well as salsa and chips. The salsa is a little spicy but good. I also had a shot of there house tequila and that was the best part of my whole meal. Very good. I asked them if they made the tequila and they said yes but it's also with a blend of others. Lots of parking.
My kids love Mexican food so this was their choice. Service was good and so was everyone else’s at my table except for mine. I totally loathed the soup and honestly hardly touched it. Presentation was good but be careful when tipping. My husband added the tip for the bill but the waiter came around the second time with the slip for a tip.
We've been coming here for over 5 years and had no.issues. Tonight we came with 4 family members and we're seated in a booth with 7 of us. This created a tight space and we asked to move and they seemed to have reservations to this. We got seated at a 8 person table and they brought 1 chip tray. Once we ordered, the food was fast in arriving but the food was not as good as prior experiences. I think we'll try new options next time.
My family and I were looking forward to eat, so we chose this place but unfortunately did not meet literally any expectations. The food came out cold conveniently on all of the plates, the cups were dirty, and nothing was really done to accommodate us. Also, the wait was really long from when we got there to when we were going to leave. The bill came up to over $200 for terrible food and even worse service. DO NOT COME HERE!!!!
$200 DOWN THE DRAIN. Absolutely atrocious. Food took forever, came out cold, they tried to MICROWAVE IT and it still came out horrible. The service was horrible, cups were filthy. You would think they would try to make it up somehow but absolutely NOTHING. Never coming back and you probably shouldn’t even try it if you like hot food and good service. If I could leave a negative review I would.
Me and my family were excited to eat some good food here seeing the pictures and all, unfortunately we didn’t get the experience we expected. Firstly, we didnt get water until about 20 minutes of waiting and when they did bring it to us the cups were filthy. Then there was the wait for the food which would have been fine if the food didnt come out cold. We didnt even get the appetizers until after the actual meals came out. And somehow they thought a smart solution to the food being cold was heating it up in the microwave, left the food looking atrocious. Even when the second plate came out “fresh” it was practically the same. The service was actually extremely MID and they did nothing to actually apologize or accommodate us and kept us waiting even longer for the bill. Would not recommend this place if you want good service or hot food.
We decided to go here for my mom‘s birthday dinner after a fun ski day, The service was HORRIBLE!!! Our waiters name was Eduardo and throughout my whole life I don’t think I have had worse service. He was rude the whole time, I totally understand that some people have bad days but his service was unacceptable.
The food was not good. Our beans and rice were watery and the chicken cheese and rice barely had any cheese. We came for lunch when it wasn’t has busy so maybe it would be better at dinner time. Service was good though.
The presentation of food is good but it lacked any and all flavor. The server was extremely rude and pushy and hardly spoke to us. When asked for refills on the drinks it was as if we were bothering him. We ordered the super burrito, the paulito or whatever the name was burrito, carnita enchiladas and my husband ordered some other enchiladas. They must be completely out of spice or any flavoring because it was just god awful. The green special sauce tasted disgusting. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Even the kids food was poorly put together and burned. Anyone who says this food is delicious is either missing taste buds or has no idea what actual good mexican food is. The only thing that was good were the chips not even the hot sauce had any hint of any flavoring. What a disappointment for our first night here and this was the restaurant we ate at. If you want badly tasting food that's extremely over priced and poor service then this it.
