La Gitana #3 Woodhaven Reviews
Good
I love this Colombian Bakery / Coffee. ☕️
The cakes are awesome as well as staff. Very polite and professional.
It's a small place but has tables. The bakery choices are varied and they have hot food and soups. I enjoy the pan de bono and the croissants.
Friendly ppl In here good service good food
The place seemed comfortable to sit n eat. There were many people who were entering this establishment, for their orders to take out. Nice assortment of pastries aside from the food.
The food is excellent and fresh. The bread is great specially with guava
Workers are friendly and place is clean. Pastries are good. The hot food looks delicious but don't know how good it is because only went for coffee and dessert. They don't have an espresso machine but the regular coffee was good.
Morning breakfast of scrambled eggs with scallions, cilantro and spices, paired with calentado which is a mixture of beans, rice, tomatoes, scallions and cut up pieces of pork it's just fantastic. A warm cup of Colombian coffee an empanada and an almojabana(cheese bread) and i feel like in heaven. I love it Jhadran Rojas
Great food, great coffee, perfect service. The lady behind the counter didn't speak much English, we didn't speak much Spanish but still she managed to advise us on selecting a typical Colombian breakfast. The place is clean spotless and smells nice. The TV on the wall featuring a Colombian soap opera called "Tormentos de Pasiones" only added to the atmosphere :) I am looking forward to visiting again!
Excellent service. The food is very delicious and even just a little bit is enough to fill you up.
La Gitana Bakery has some truly delicious, fresh cakes that are worth trying. The quality of the baked goods definitely stands out. However, the service wasn’t as friendly or attentive as expected. If you’re going just for the sweets, it’s a great stop, but don’t expect top-notch customer service.
I have always loved this bakery however recently this place has changed. The staff are very rude. If you ask for extra napkins Or to clean a table it’s a problem. The staff are older women and they seem tired and unwilling to help you. The prices have increased ridiculously in the last few months. While prices have increased everywhere this place has increased threefold. They have two locations across the street from each other so they seem to control prices in that way. It should be the opposite.. lower prices a little bit to help the community.
Not okay, Some times foods been around a little too long. It's a hit or miss. Let your eyes be the judge. If it don't look fresh, guess what... It's not.
I will put zero stars if I could I went in there yesterday, November 27 and spoke to the lady about Tres Leches she pointed to her right and I asked her if this is strawberry tres leches, she said yes, so I bring it to my mother-in-law‘s house and it was a strawberry cake. They lied to me about the cake. I called back to make a complaint. They refused to give me a refund and said nobody there speaks English, and I know that is a lie. I am very, very disappointed with the service I have received.
This place is the nastiest place in queens the empanada tasted so old like they had it sitting there for like at least 3 days please be careful eating there bcs I woke up sick after I ate there.
I used to like this place, however food and mostly service went down the hill. All the employees have an attitude.
