Apple Jacks Woodside Reviews
Quick Beers and friendly people. No food. Pool table and fusbol + great Firestone heater. Check out the back porch next to babbling brook creek.
Very cool old time bar with a great big deck out back. Live music on the weekends, good prices and a friendly staff. Stopped in with the fellas while riding and it was a great place to rest and wet our whistle. Just driving by is a mistake. Place has some history to it as well.
Our local and historical bar in the heart of the redwoods. Great friends gather here. Beware of the locals, we love our town we love our bar.
Waited here for our friends to join us for camping trip in Portola. Got a couple of beers, chatted with the local crowd, and had a merry time sitting in the redwoods shade. They had a live band on Sat at 4-20 pm which we couldn't wait for, and Sun at 2 pm.. But a guitarist played some tunes which made our day. They're pet friendly and our doggo loved hanging with us on the patio. Not pricey & rustic ambience with friendly staff.
One of the best dives in the Bay Area. Incredible location tucked away in the trees, good beer selection, and undeniable charm.
Great bar in the mountains with live music and amazing people
Just coming back from the first night of karaoke I've been there for. Never been much for karaoke anywhere..but it was an absolute blast! Fun, relaxed & I didn't sing but it's impossible not to have a great night with so many laid back & FUN people. Thanks, as always.
Perfect little dive bar in a beautiful location. Friendly staff, cheap drinks, great music.
Great place for a stop. Old fashion watering hole with very friendly staff. Highly recommend. Biker friendly for sure!

Nice local pub in La Honda. We rode there to use the bathroom and get a couple beers. Bartender was super helpful. We looked a bit damp and cold, and he pointed to the wood stove and brought us chips.
Love this place. Last weekend, I stopped with a friend and played pool and had a couple beers on tap. Been here before, years ago and it ain't changed none. Very rustic and relaxed, as expected for the territory. No food, though.
Applejacks is always a fun place to hang out with really nice locals. Stop in if you are over on the coast and want to go a little inland to warm up and grab a drink. Its always 10 degrees warmer in la honda so thats nice. They do occasionally have food and bands so its with it to call and see whats going on for the day if your not local enuff to just pop in and see yourself. It is a no frills place so if your looking for a blended daiquiri this isn't the place for you. Also it can be quite busy on the weekends, its a Very popular place for car enthusiasts and motorcycle riders.
I stopped by for one of their weekend BBQ events. The food is fantastic, the setting in the huge redwoods is amazing and the building makes you feel like it's a hundred years ago. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Oh, and they had a high quality band playing outside on the deck. I'll be going back for sure!
This bar is the coolest! Saloon style doors and old plank wooden floors give this historic tavern an old westy feel. It's a local hangout, but also a great destination bar... on the weekends it is frequented by people day tripping on their motorcycles. Service isnt great, but Apple Jack's is full of character, a spot not to be missed. There is live music on the weekends and a huge patio.
Apple Jack's is a must-stop if you are day tripping along highway 84 or anywhere near La Honda. I believe the building is about 150 years old. It's a beautiful area in the Santa Cruz mountains among the redwoods. It's always lovely to walk the squeaky, hardwood floors, belly up to the bar, and order a Jameson. If the weather is good or bad, it's no matter. On a warm, sunny day, it's open and airy, and on a cool, rainy day, it's snug and cozy.
This is where the folks that say they're "Old School" get together for a drink after riding their motorcycles on some the best and most famous motorcycle roads in the country. The quaint medium sized local watering hole can even have tour buses stop in from time to time. It's bikers and cowboy friendly and the wood burning stove, pool table and dance floor are all frequently used. The staff and service are true service minded staffing with a very friendly vibe.
Awesome place to stop for a quick beer or a few beers. My buddy and I stopped by on our way back from delivering a vehicle and this place didn't disappoint. We were expecting a place where we could get a quick beer fix then get back on the road, but what we got instead was a place where we would definitely come back to. One person gave this place a low rating because it was "very loud". Quick tip for that person, stay home and drink wine in front of the TV. If you hate fun, this isn't the place for you.

We took a bus trip out here for an event we used to do in college. Great beer selection considering the location. Locals and bartenders were super fun. We managed to drink all of their blue moon. Goal of the trip was to drink them dry but with a group of 50 I think that would be pretty hard given the vast selection of taps.

We didn't get dinner but the Saturday grilled steak n mash looked n smelled amazing! Friendly folk, especially chatty patrons. Limited parking. Mostly a biker bar and they don't have any actual Apple Jack (super bummed lol)

Definitely a cool little spot in the mountain to take a brake and have a few drinks. Back patio has a nice view of the woods behind it. If they decided to use the area below the deck it would be perfect with some outdoor lighting and a couple fire pits.
