I DoorDash these guys a couple times a month and they have always gotten our order correct. That’s huge in these times! Catfish is always good here also.
We visited this location on Day 2 of no power (for us)... The line was long but this store had a good system for ordering, waiting, delivery to cars.. I was impressed! Chickfila, better watch out :P On this day, every fast food restaurant that was open had really long lines. Thank you for feeding us & everyone that day! <3 I also loved that the two people we encountered seemed happy and in good spirits. <3 THANK YOU!
The location in Wylie, when the food is HOT and fresh it is wonderful, there are times when the tenders are cold as they have been sitting a while. They do need to fix and clean their soda fountain that faces the customer. The place remains disappointing
I went to purchase a family meal through the drive thru. Was greeted nicely, spoke clearly, and was able to take my order without any issue. When I received my order, everything was hot and fresh. The new management is seriously blowing customer service out of the water. ❤️
Golden Chick is one of the most underrated chicken restaurants around. The chicken is hot and crispy, and the rolls are some of the best around. It is always good to see the owner of the managers actually working on the kitchen instead of just giving orders. Definitely recommend this restaurant.
I didnt get the name of the gentlemen that was running the drive thru 11/13 at around 3pm, but he was absolutely fantastic. Made sure I had everything I needed and had such a positive attitude, kinda of made my day! Thank you! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Edit update on service. Not sure if new ownership or management, but the last two times I've visited at drive-thru, my order was incorrect. Being in lunch, this is frustrating because I cannot return to have corrected. When I called, I went to voice-mail or so I thought because halfway through leaving a message, I could hear someone in the background talking. So they were monitoring the recording yet not responding. Below is my previous post, such a change in service. The service is always great here. My tenders and green beans came as ordered and tasted fresh. Even with the usual small line at drive through (popular place), my visit was quick and worth it, because the chicken is good.
This place is fabulous. The store itself is a little smaller and more dated-looking than some other nearby Golden Chick locations but it's the same good food at great prices you've come to expect from Golden Chick. There is plenty of parking out front and it's conveniently located at the corner of FM 544 / SH 78. Service is friendly and fast (I usually park and go inside so this review does not include any experiences with drive-thru one way or the other). Life sometimes gets real busy and it's great to have a dependable place so close to home where I can stop in and grab a big bundle of consistent-quality food to feed the family.
Andrew is the best!! I go here at least once a week for my son food before his football game and Andrew is always smiling and has a great attitude! It keeps me coming back.
The food was freshly cooked and all of the employees were super nice and friendly and professional and very fast, Great work!!
*Great location for all you GC fans!* For me, hard to find quality fried-fish just about anywhere. For fast-food joints, the pickings are even slimmer. Thankfully here at GC, the offerings are excellent for everything! And this the 2-piece catfish with ‘dirty rice’ and a soda has become my go-to for to-go at the end of a go, go, go day! ✌️✌🏽✌🏿🇺🇸🤠 {Thank you, Ms. Brandy! — I appreciate the good, friendly customer service! ❤️}
I dined with golden chick and the staff was very friendly very helpful got me the best meal for me and my family at a decent price Ms.Atisha and her staff are very respectful and the customer service is 10 out of 10 our food was hot and fresh as well their zing sauce is amazing

I live all the way in Mesquite and drive 32 minutes just to come to this Golden Chic, the food is always hot and ready, my wait time is never long and to top it all off the staff there are the absolute sweetest people, I believe the managers, Liz and Andy, always show such spectacular customer service which is one of the reasons I never mind driving to this location. Great food . Great customer service. Fast service.

I love golden chick, however my last experience was not up to par! Inside is still closed? So as per most drive thru experience, they really messed the order up. I ordered 2 state fair corn dogs, as the fair wasn't opened and I was like heck ya! So at the drive thru, they said they take 7 or 8 minutes so I said ok please give me mustard and napkins. About 20 minutes went by and a guy came to the car and said, sorry we had a mix up and sent your order with another customer. He brought them back so we can give you those or we can remake them. Of course I opted for the remade as I have no idea what he did with them. Q0 minutes later we finally got our order and they did put an extra one in there for the hassle. But they forgot the napkins and of course I ended up with mustard on my shirt. Maybe open the inside up so we can at least get napkins
Delicious. The sizes of the tenders are sometimes inconsistent, so you might end up with a small portion. The drive through can take a long time if there are 2+ cars in front of you. But I keep going back because it tastes good.
I would have giving a 5 star BUT it's all of them so far that give but only 2 honey mustard for a FAMILY size meal. Come on you can do better with the sauces. It was 25 pcs chicken strips meal and you could give a bigger Size of corn nuggets as well. Because the other chicken place no name here but give a way bigger size family meal corn nuggets just saying.But still good food and service.
We ordered for to go. Paid ~$21. Waited 15 minutes for ‘fast food’. The crispy fried chicken was not bad. The side order of mashed potato was tasty and the coleslaw was fresh.
Chicken is delicious but the buns for the sandwiches are way too bad. They soggy and thick, it felt old. The fries are delicious but they give you like 15 of them not even match de small size of fries anywhere and finally the facility needs improvements. Since dripping AC to the men's restroom door which is broken on the inside so you couldn't do number 2 in private, you cannot lock the door. There is roach smell in the air and fountain is unattended, I tried Pepsi and got just mineral water with a light color like pepsi
I went through the drivethru, and there was only one vehicle ahead of me. No customers were inside. They had a manager, and 4 other people working. I ordered 2 of the same thing: 3 piece meals w/an extra side each, so 2 sides. They asked me to pull up & park. So instead of waiting in my car, I went inside to save them a trip. I waited & waited and someone asked me if I knew what I wanted to order. So I explained what I was doing & what I had ordered. They explained that the extra side order was not placed, so we went ahead & took care of that. I was in there 10-15minutes waiting, as cars went through the drive thru. I finally got my order & went home. We sat to eat when we realized that they had given us two, 2 piece meals. No receipt on the drive thru order. I called and explained to them what happened and was told I was charged for the 2 piece meals, because they understood me to order that. I said ok, but explained that I annunciate & speak very clearly. That perhaps the manager needed to take some more time to train his employees. They were friendly, the food was good, but the service left me disappointed.
It’s a good substitute from going hungry if it’s your last option,just gotta get it fresh,time and concern is vital when it comes to serving food….i’m from the old school,we took our time… It’s just different….
This has always been my favorite place but they’ve changed. The chicken salad sandwich is about $10 now and they served it on a hard bun instead of a homemade roll. Very disappointed
The hours on the door state the drive thru opens at 10:30 am, but the last two times we've been here after 10:30, no one answered at the drive thru. Roast chicken is excellent. They tend to add spice powder really unevenly if you get spicy chicken; one piece will have a mountain of powder on it rendering it basically inedible, while at least one piece has none.
Pouring rain outside so we dined in. Dining area needs some love. Letters rubbed off the trash bin. Table was rocking. Look outside & trash is strewn but might have been blown by the storm. Paid extra for a side of gravy but got mashed potatos which hubby ate. Had to send hubby back for napkins as none were provided. Didn't ask for all dark but got all dark. For $14.79 I think it could have been better. I have had better for less money. The roll was almost too dark to eat.
Last time I went the employees complained about making my food out loud. Then today my fries were underdone and the rolls were not fully baked
This place won’t give out a side of pickles or let you buy them with your meal. Holding them hostage for what? The food was good but wish the service made sense.
We first had Golden Chick in Wylie and had always loved it. Our last visit there could be our last. My fried chicken was almost burnt and the wait was too long for a simple meal after Church. The new manager does not seem to like messing with "senior discounts". We still have better food and service in the Rowlett Golden Chick so far.
This review is for the Wylie location only. Food is still good. Service was normal. The portions have gotten way smaller. Six piece tenders technically were six pieces, but 3 of them were half the size they normally are. Not a big deal since that just leaves more room in the box for the fries... Wrong! They now give you tiny portion of fries in a paper sleeve instead of filling the box up. To top it off, you know have to ask for ketchup instead of them putting it out. I asked for a lot and was given 2. I asked for A LOT more and was given 2 more. Finally I asked for 6 more and was given 5. I actually turned out to be plenty since I didn't realize they had ripped me off on the fries at that point.
If you like old food that clearly has been sitting out and dropped back into grease to be reheated, this is definitely your place. Rarely go to this location but any time I have, im always given old stale sides that you can tell has been just sitting under a heat lamp. Smh
The food is great. But everything else kinda sucks. They never have roasted chicken or only certain pieces of fried chicken. It’s always fast. Employees give you the feeling they want you to go somewhere else
Probably the sloppiest fried chicken I’ve ever had. I don’t know how, but the entire order was soaking wet. Condiments were thrown in the box on top of the food rather than in the bag. Gravy was watery but somehow had lumps in it. The best thing about the meal was the fries, in a wet box. Does corporate even quality test this place?
“Golden Chick or Golden Wait?” ⭐⭐ Warning to my fellow hungry humans — if you order online thinking you’ll save time, you might want to bring a snack for the wait. I placed my order, got the “your food is ready” text (music to any fried chicken fan’s ears), pulled up to the drive-through all excited… only to be told, “We don’t do online pickup here. You gotta come inside.” Okay, minor inconvenience. I went in — only to be told it would be another 20 minutes. At 6 p.m., prime chicken hour, you’d think they’d have a few tenders standing by! The staff was polite, but the system clearly isn’t. If you’re in a hurry, maybe skip the online order — or just call ahead like it’s 1998. Golden Chick, your food’s good… but your timing needs a little extra seasoning. 🍗 Verdict: Great chicken. Not-so-great waiting game.
Pure garbage. We asked for 2 things and got the opposite. Came back to work and got immediate muddbutt. SMH. I asked for spicy strips on one order and just wicked wings for the other. The spicy strips had no spice but it seems like they put all that spice on my wings. Made them near unedible.
This place used to be good years ago. Service was basic. Ordered 20 tenders meal and extra sides for family. Got 6 extra rolls. Shame on me for not checking food before I left. Rolls were crap and looked like dough balls barely cooked. Used to be huge rolls, light and fluffy. Rest of food was average. I won’t be back to this location.
food was not fresh. tasted bland. french fries with real mushy and greasy. the person that took my order was very nice and did a good job. my chicken sandwich was so greasy that all the crust fell off of it while I was eating it. everything was just very greasy and tasted old.
Just drove through here last nite. Ordered smallest tender family meal. They charged extra for all sides. Tenders where half the size as normal from here. 31.00 for this is disgraceful. Family meal should have included sides. Done here. To many other choices out there.
Super disappointed today. Spend almost $30 for 2 tender meals and a kids tender meal. We waited for over 20 minutes because they told us to park i was guessing so they could make our food fresh but it was not. The rolls on all 3 meals were hard. My okra was soggy not even a crunch to them. Super gross. They charged me for 6 ranch and i only got 4 with no silverware napkins or straws. And my sons kids meal did not come with the cookie. Very disappointed. Why did i pay so much and wait so long for this. I'm a very unhappy pregnant woman rn. Wish i would have went to Chick-fil-A. No wonder they have such a long line compared to y'all.
We ordered dinner through Uber Eats about 6 weeks ago and had multiple items missing. I had to Drive up there on a cold night to get them. The manager on duty told me that I would get a discount for the inconvenience the next time I came. I called tonight and spoke to a different manager and he questioned me as to why I waited so long to order because it was 6 weeks. I told him I have a new born baby and we really don’t eat there that often. He was rude about the whole situation and I told him to not worry about it since he had an attitude. I asked him is a $5 or $10 discount that important to you versus losing a customer for good? He still went back and forth with me and at that point I told him I’d never eat there again.
I had a very bad experience with going to Golden chick. I was in the drive-through and had to pull over and wait for them to give me my food. They did not put silverware or napkins in my bag. The corn dog combo meal that I bought came with a side and a drink. I ordered a macaroni and cheese. They gave me such a small size of Mack and cheese, I could not believe it!
Had not been to Golden Chick since they closed the one in Murphy. Was my normal Monday pickup for dinner. Decided to stop at the one on 78 in Wylie. Ordered a 10 piece mixed. Food tasted old/reheated. Not happy.
Used to be a great location. Waited over 5 mins at lunch time with no one in front of the line and wasn't greeted. Walked out in frustration. Love Golden Chick, but not this location until there is some turnover of who works there
Worst manager - i did order a 2 piece chicken and 2 piece cat fish, they said me to wait in car and after 10mins i got my chicken brought to car and they mentioned it will take 5mins for Fish and i waited in car for another 20mins and they never showed up. I walk into restaurant to ask about the fish, they mentioned they gave order to some other car. I did mention i was waiting in car for 25mins for my food and the manager responded very irresponsible and asking do you need refund.
This place sucks! Everytime I go here I have to wait at least 20-30 min in the parking lot for someone to remember to bring the food. Never go here!!!!!!
Went there today and was going to spend around 30 dollars pulled up to the window I asked for 5 or 6 of their honey mustard and was told each sauce was going to be 25 cents a piece. Come on 30 dollars worth of tenders and then you really think it's right to charge for every dipping sauce I mean come on are you really that hard up. So canceled my order and went somewhere when I asked for 5 or 6 dipping sauces no problem here you go. You have lost my business which is sad because I really liked your tenders.
I am absolutely disgusted. I think there has been an ownership change recently, maybe this explains the situation that I just witnessed first hand. Today, I went thru drive thru and ordered okra. After waiting 15 minutes at the window (after paying) I was given my order. The okra was cold, hard, and awful. I immediately spit the okra back into the package, parked, and walked inside. A young lady asked what I needed, I explained. She takes the package from me, walked to the area and dumped my okra BACK INTO THE FOOD station. I was floored. I called over to the older man who helped me at the window, explained my problem and confirmed what I witnessed the lady do. He apologized and offered to cook fresh food. I couldn't imagine eating from there after watching her put the old food back into the serving area!! Mind you, I spit it out...and it went back in to be served to the next poor soul! I declined his offer and left.
I've been to this location twice. Disappointed BOTH times. Each time I ordered the same thing, a fried chicken thigh. That's it. The first time it was, old, cold, and greasy. Today I went, ordered the same, the result...Old, not as old as before, but old, despite informing the young lady of my last experience. She told me "he just took it out of the fryer". LIE! I will NEVER patronize this location a.g.a.i.n. Their primary job is chicken. The chicken at the Royce City location is ALWAYS hot and fresh. Always. A valuable lesson can be learned from them.
We live in Sachse and every Wednesday we have church, so after church we get there about 8:30 and every time for the past 3 times they have over an hr left until close. They never have gravy, which is highly upsetting. I know it’s sounds silly but that’s why we come bc we love the food. Probably will just drive to Murphy for golden chicken bc the one is wylie NEVER has gravy when we go.
I’m convince this place is other new management! Where’s Andy and Amir? I visit this place frequently and most definitely on a Monday for 1/2 off deal! My household was disappointed with last night’s experience! The chicken was hot but it had a burnt grease taste. I called the restaurant back to inform them about the chicken. No manager was available to speak with but the guy I did speak with said he was the Shift Lead. I felt insulted because he told me he had just ate a piece of chicken and it tasted fine. Also he even tried to make it seem like I called the wrong location. Then he said oh our normal cook is out and the cook tonight is new.
I'd give this place 0 stars if i could. Lost count how many times my wicked wings have been handed to me without spice after stating i wanted spicy!!!! The young man today said "orders ready" so confidently. I had a LONG day and attended a funeral not wanting to cook i decided to order golden chick. The manager offered a spice pack and for me to pick my rolls up lol but i didn't want to have to go back for my correct order. The whole purpose of me getting take-out was to make my day easier but it wasnt. 👎
They are always out of fried chicken, for instance I asked for the 16 pieces and they said they only had 9, and if I wanted to wait 14 minutes for the other batch to be ready.
This is by far the worst place we have gotten golden Chick...one the door dasher didn't get all our food just one bag and left...my husband had to go back and get my food only to come back and me taste it and it had no flavor! Just tasted plane I couldn't eat all of it. We will make sure to never order from this location again!
I went to order my daughter lunch through the drive-through and the lady on head set was screaming at me. I told her the volume was too loud and she told me that’s just how we have to take orders. Well ma’am… if you are hurting my ears ordering then you’re too loud. You were so rude to a customer. She does not belong working in customer service!! I hope she gets fired!!!
They get my order wrong every time and they take your order with an attitude. Probably the worst fast food place I've EVER been to. And talk about unsanitary! I wanted spicy tenders not little fried peices of breading. I also didn't get the extra sauce I paid for. Or my Mac n cheese. This happens every time! The workers simply do not care. Bad customer service and food quality. I say fire everyone and hire people who actually care about their job.
I just went to the Golden chick at 78 in wylie,and ordered a 6 pcs chicken strip and they only gave me three strip and didn't gave me my hole change either the girl who is in the window is the same one that did that two weeks ago i ordered 4 extra rolls they charged me for them but didn't get them again.
The chicken tasted like the grease hadn't been changed in a very long time. I asked for dipping sauce but didn't receive it. One of the employees came out and started sweeping. She swept under my table close enough to run the broom over my left foot. When I asked her politely not to sweep while I was eating, she told me her manager told her to. Don't know why she bothered the table had been cleared but not wiped down. When I went to throw my trash away, the rim off the counter underneath was sticky. So bad food,rude employees and a nasty restaurant. Never coming back.
I went to buy tenders for my family. Should've been 17.99. At the window I was told $42. I told the girl that wasn't right, but I'd get the next size down of tenders. $32 later and 15 mins sitting there, another very rude girl comes to the window. I explained the situation to her. The manager came over and instead of her telling him they messed up she just stood there. As I'm trying to tell the manager what happened, she spins around, tosses her braids in my direction and closes the window in my face!! Manager standing right there!! I was beyond angry. I get home and green bean juice soaked my chicken and spilled everywhere. Chicken tasted like it was cooked in old oil. I will NEVER go there again!! I've had many other issues with this place over the past year. It's worth the drive to Murphy just to have fresh food and friendly service. Avoid the Wylie Golden Chick!!
At first I wasn’t gonna say anything but after sitting in the drive thru for 20 minutes, seeing workers walk past the window and ignore us after we’ve already paid and confirmed our order three times with three separate people I realized that if people choose to eat here they should know what to expect. I haven’t been to this location in almost 5 years and tonight I was reminded why I never come to this one. The Murphy and Sasche locations are 1000 times better than this location ever will be. Wylie Golden Chick has always been dirty and the workers have always hated their life and made it the customer’s problem. If anyone is reading this I would highly suggest a different location. Not to mention after making you wait forever they will screw you on your sides, I didn’t realize they served XS fries.
Maybe the management has changed, but I have been coming to this Wylie outlet for the past couple of years, and the service has deteriorated terribly. Today, the cashier overcharged me $6 for a family meal of 15 chicken. When they finally refunded, they wouldn't even give me a refund receipt. When I asked for some zing spice packets (there were 15 chicken and only 3 packets), the supervisor actually rolled her eyes at me and said oh my God. I would never go back to this Golden Chick ever again. They cheat and their service is horrible. Disgraceful.
Sides all over the bag. When they seasoned it they only seasoned them after boxing so you peel off the over seasoned strip and the one under it won't be seasoned at all Edit. Arrived and didn't get addressed at the front counter for 5 minutes. Dropping down to one star Update 09/27/2023: forgot the gravy. Half the tenders are plain i ordered spicy. Horrible food. $20
So the first problem of many 😕 ordered ahead online. 🙄 They had me come in instead of drive thru, which I wished they haven't because then I saw how dirty it was, the floor was flooded the counter was greasy, they lost my order then found it but it was missing things. Then the manager proceeded to loudly verbally berate the worker in front of me with no shame. The workers scrambled like cockroaches trying to bade to his commands. So embarrassing 😳 then when I left as quickly as possible after no apology or explanation. He still got my family order wrong. Never going back.
The cashier couldn't hear my order because she had air pods in. After 20 minutes of waiting i went to go check a and they completely forgot about it. I saw one of the workers barefoot and he noticed so he put his crock's back on. I asked for a refund and the cashier why and told me it would just be 5 more minutes.
Alicia Abrams is ruining this store and hurting this brand. Terrible customer service. Have to change my review. Now they are refusing to hand out mobile orders through the drive thru, and they are not preparing the mobile orders on time. The workers are getting lazier.
I am absolutely livid with the service at this location. I placed an online order at 7:30 AM for a 3:15 PM pickup for my kids’ game day meal. My mother, in her sixties, went to pick up the food and arrived at 3:12 PM. She was told to pull around front and wait, but after 12 minutes of sitting there, still no food by 3:25 PM. Finally, my mother, frustrated and with my young child in tow, went inside to find out what was going on. The excuse? They only had one cook and one person working. My mother reminded them that the order had been placed hours ago, and this should not be an issue. The employee’s response? “We are always hiring and asking for applications, we have extra shirts and hats for those who want to help,” in the most sassy, disrespectful tone possible. Completely unacceptable. To make matters worse, they didn’t even have the beverage we requested, for the SECOND time! This location clearly has no regard for customer service or following through with orders. I had already given this location a second chance after a bad experience two months ago, but after today, NEVER AGAIN. This establishment has lost any business from me. I hope the people of Wylie wake up and stop supporting this place. There are two other Golden Chick locations nearby with excellent service, and I’ll be going there from now on. Avoid this place at all costs.

Just got the Lucky 13 deal today around 11:45am the chicken was way over cooked and the gravy was like water tasted terrible !!!!!
So irritated. I door dashed Golden Chick a week before Christmas. They ran out of Mac and cheese and rolls, so I called and they said they would take my name down and they would give us rolls and a free Mac and cheese on the next one. I ordered just now, and they won’t honor it. So I got screwed and they wouldn’t fix it. I have never heard of a fast food restaurant not fixing the order when someone has a complaint. So disappointed. It will be a long time til I come back.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Was told a 10-minute wait via drive-thru, but ended up stuck waiting in the reserved spot for 35 minutes. When I politely inquired about the extreme delay, staff were incredibly rude, dismissively told me to "be patient," nonsensically directed me back to the drive-thru (which I obviously came from!), and offered zero apologies, essentially blaming me for their failure. I only waited so long because I already had my drinks, otherwise I would have left much sooner. This place lies about wait times and treats customers with appalling disrespect. Don't waste your time or money here.
I placed an order online and still ended up waiting over 20 minutes inside the restaurant, along with two other guests who were also left waiting far too long. The night manager was clearly ineffective, and the employees seemed completely untrained. To top it off, the fruit punch I was served was basically just flavored water. When I got home, my order was all wrong. I had ordered two 9-piece wicked wings: one lemon pepper and one with no spice. Instead, I received 9 lemon pepper wings and only 7 of the other, which were covered in spice. I’m beyond frustrated. This was by far the worst experience I’ve had at this location, which is surprising since I usually have good visits. The night shift really needs serious improvement. From now on, I’ll be taking my business to the Golden Chick on 544—it’s far better than the one on 78.
I ordered a Big and Golden Sandwich combo and Spicy tenders from this location and they completely messed up our order. The lady taking our order was not paying attention and the guy in the back whom she kept looking at was vaping. I am very disappointed with this service.
I’ve NEVER written a review like this before because I’ve been in the service industry but my boyfriend comes home telling me they didn’t give anything they asked for, we’re rude and messed up every single item. Said they didn’t have boneless chicken when it’s literally the only thing I eat there. Get it together!
I used to Love their catfish palter. As they made it fresh right when you ordered it. 8-5-2024 will be the last time i eat there. I got food poisoning!! Last nights order was not made fresh and I feel like this is why I got sick. Thanks!
Slowest most unorganized place I’ve ever been to. How does chicken sitting under a warmer take 35 minutes to be boxed up and handed out?
It was awful. Paid for sodas, but no co2 and no offer of a refund. No ice. No salt. No change for cash payment. Just an obnoxious employee shouting "we out." This place needs to close. And I did contact their web feedback as requested below. And no surprise, they never responded.
I ordered family size of fries and cole slaw. When I came to pick up. The staff is so mean and yelled at me. The cold slaw tasted like plastic. I don’t know if they give the very old one and the fries is a small size, not the one that I ordered. So bad!!
Can't review the food because I never got any. I sat at the drive through speaker for 10 minutes with only 1 car in front of me at the window - they knew I was there but they never acknowledged me, never asked if I could wait a moment they just looked and ignored. I finally left and went to the competition and was on the road with my food in a matter of minutes.
Just placed a GrubHub order and didn't receive part of my order, so frustrating!!! I ordered the 4 veggies, 2 green beans, 1 Mac n cheese, & 1 fried okra (did Not receive the okra) and also ordered a side salad, I don't know why it's so hard for ppl to read a ticket order
Went through drive thru. Got home and drinks were root beer NOT diet Dr. Pepper which i couldn't drink because im diabetic 😠 and the rolls were so over cooked and not warm! Will NOT be back!!!
The cashier working tonight kept talking to his girlfriend at the table while we were waiting 25 minutes for 4 tenders. There was also a door dash lady in the same boat, needed her order and he was still talking to his girl at the table while there was 2 other customers waiting to order.
I was pretty nervous even trying this location based on the appearance and the online reviews already. This place just needs to close down. Food was cold, chicken tasted idk like it sat out and was rubbery? It was weird. Rolls were thrown in with the chicken in the SAME BOX! Every roll was smashed up and town up. The fries were a family pack and super cold. Around lunch time I would imagine food would be fresh its suppose to be one of the busiest times. I worked at Chicken Express for years at my teen and early adult life. This is wild and just down right disgusting food for the price.
Only thing this place serves is bad attitude and trash food. Mobile orders 30min+ late while 6 employees stand around inside doing nothing. No thanks. If Wylie has one thing, it’s lots of other options for chicken joints ✌️
This location actually used to be good now under new management. This is the absolute worst location I’ve ever had the last 4 times j have eaten hear it has been old food I got a family meal tonight and it is nothing but old soggy chicken, cold old french fries and the chicken feel slimy from how long it was sitting it id not even luke warm. This is absolutely disgusting and it needs to be fixed. I’d rather drive further down the street to the sachse location than order food from this one while under this management.
Food was ok, asked for extra rolls and didn't receive them. The cashier kept saying anything else after I order an item, plus they have really bad attitude. Now I drive to the Murphy location passing this location. Last time it was a little late and they said there was no more rolls, they said it would take a while to took so we said we can wait, then they said there not gonna make the rolls after all. So I ordered online and picked up my rolls 5 minutes later. They where pissed.
Quality has dropped tremendously. They’ve changed from tenderloins to cut chicken breast. The chicken tenders are tiny and quality just isn’t what it used to be, also side are smaller and prices have increased.. • Chicken strips are tiny, barely have any batter. • Sides are smaller, no longer in cardboard plastic makes food soggy. • Constantly missed condiments and dipping sauces. •Slow service •Over priced $30 bucks for two four piece tender combos.
Update Feb 2021: This place does NOT do pickup orders. I called to place an order for 24 wicked wings. They told me 12 minutes. I got there after the time expired and went through the front door to pickup. They said we have it ready. But you just go through the drive through. There’s 11 cars in the drive through. Owner doesn’t care. Said to go wait in drive through, so yeah, this place DOES NOT do pick up orders. It is drive through only. 17 minutes to “pickup” an order that was called in ahead of time. What a waste of time. The wings tasted a bit bitter from the darkness of the oil. That oil needed changing badly. Murphy location never gets this dark brown. They replace the oil as necessary, otherwise the place may as well be poisoning your liver. Why do I even try to give this place second or third chances. Never coming back. Sep 2020: All four Fletchers corn dogs were burnt to a crisp. Wasted $20. The line reached the street. Couldn’t line up to get a refund so just went home.
