Gianna's Yonkers Reviews
Celebrated my grand daughter’s 1st bday here . The service…food atmosphere was amazing . I personally ordered zuppe di pesce n it’s practically for 2 people at least .
In New York for work and had our 29th wedding anniversary, and went here for a wonderful meal to celebrate! I had the braised short ribs and mashed potatoes, and my husband had the lasagna. The bread and olive starter was amazing. As well aa the fried meatball appetizer. Our server, Joe, was great and even took a picture of us at the end to remember it all!! Great food and great time!! Highly recommend!!
Nice little local spot for good Italian food. I have eaten here many and have had two funeral luncheons here also and each time we were provided with great service and great food. They have two dining rooms and a small bar and plenty of parking. You can't go wrong with a meal at Gianna's
Food was delicious!!! Service was immaculate and the prices are decent. Will definitely be going back, best pizza I've had in a long time.
Came here on New Year’s Eve with my wife and 4 kids. This place rocks every time we’ve been here. The service is always on point and the food is amazing. Every single time. If you eat here you will not be disappointed.
Food is delicious. Place is very clean. Our waitress Erica was very nice, friendly & very attentive. Nice relaxing music.
Very nice casual Italian restaurant. Had lunch with a large group (almost 20 people). Food was delicious great service.
We were a group of 5 for lunch on a Saturday— William was our server - great service - bus men were great also . Food was perfect ( eggplant rolantini / stuffed mushrooms /pasta primavera-with steak /orchiette garlic oil sausage /chicken francese/ penne alla vodka/ Short rib panini - fries / —All dishes were SUPERB!! Decaf latte was the best ! Prices are reasonable/ portions were large/. Cant wait to go back again .
Hidden away in the back Of an industrial park on North Broadway in Yonkers, Gianna's stands out in an area flooded with Italian restaurants. Though you can get takeout, you should definitely eat in to experience the great ambiance and amazing wait staff. This place isn't your normal italian spot. Their food hits another level thanks to the freshness and inspired use of seasonings. This place is a little more money compared to pizza paces in the area, but it's definitely worth it, and not as much of a pretentious rip off like Fortina's near by. Burrata & Rigatoni alla Ragu are pictured.
Celebrated a retirement party there, food is great filled me up to the brim. The margarita pizza is nice and toasty and light and delicious. The service was phenomenal, Antonia our server really met all of our needs, she made us feel completely comfortable and relaxed. Family friendly environment with the option to Eat inside or outside, and they don't seat you in the parking lot over oil stains and asphalt. Real outdoor dining with umbrellas and adequate space. Highly recommended restaurant for takeout or dine-in!
My spouse and I have been visiting Gianna's for almost 10 years now. They never disappoint, food is always fresh, great balanced flavor to traditional Italian dishes as they should be- not overly salted and you can add your own salt if wanted, awesome pizza, and portions are great! Free parking and nice cozy ambiance. Always clean. We just hosted our baby shower there and everyone loved it. The staff is friendly, courteous and professional. The food was spectacular and the spaces they have for parties are great. The owners are great to work with as are the staff. Highly recommend for parties and everyday lunch or dinner.
Parking. High back padded seats are comfy. The 2-person Cold Antipasto is delicious. The pasta Fagioli is smooth going down and will not throw off your main course. Mini pizzas w thin crust are good to snack on with a full table, and they have a good variety of toppings. The drink menu has good options. Fruit punch is a good change of pace. No beers listed, but just ask them, and they have both bottle and draft.
This place was surprisingly excellent! We finished visiting the local gardens and needed a place to eat. The food was wonderful especially the mussels and the rolled pizza! The service was great. Efficient and helpful. Price was just right! It felt homely inside, very welcoming. It’s close to the Greystone - MetroNorth Train station. I highly recommend this place when in the area for dine-in or take out!!
Went for lunch on a stormy day and Gianna's was empty. Service was excellent. The staff were professional and friendly. The room is clean and comfortable. Tables were covered in white. We could hear music coming from the bar area where they were busy prepping a solid number of takeout orders. We were seated at a table in the front dining area and ordered a salad and a margherita pizza. Both were very good. The pizza crust was crisp and thin. The sauce and cheese were well proportioned. Perhaps the pizza could have used a bit more salt, but the crust was very good. I'd like to come back and sample some of the entrees!
Waitress took my order down incorrectly and then, as everyone had their food and I did not, she showed me how it had to be my order because she wrote it down. Proof that she was not listening. It was handled terribly. She apologized but that all deserved a compensation. I just sat there awkwardly, without food and feeling blamed. We liked her. It was awkward and embarrassing and left a bad taste. Water refills were really fast and appreciated. The bread and oil was really nice.
Truly nothing I liked about this place the service was okay but cold. I got there at 3:00 by the time someone went to take my order it was 3:04 so they wouldn't honor the lunch special. The food was edible, decent even though it tasted better the second day and the atmosphere was unwelcoming. Except for one guy who might have been the owner🤷🏽♀️
The service was excellent but we were not impressed with the food. The crab cakes weren't very crabby and the scallops just ok. The risotto was very dissapointing. I am giving 3 stars because yes they are opened and were very friendly but I don't think I'll be back there to eat again.
I ordered lasagna. First of all the price almost doubled from 3-4 years ago & there was not enough food for that price. It used to last me 2 meals. It was very salty as well. I used to recommend their lasagna to all. Never again
Here is a weekend review of the worst kind. Place is called Gianna’s and located right off N. Broadway. I’ve heard of this place from a couple of friends, who both said it was good, and wanted to try something new. Looking at the menu, nothing out of the ordinary for a traditional Italian joint. I ordered the seafood salad which, according to the menu, had shrimp, calamari and scungilli. When the salad arrived it had NO scungilli. I called one of the waiters over and pointed this out. He sent over my waiter who said, “we have no scungilli”. Of course I sent it back. Not only was I not told when I ordered it, but I am dumbfounded that they would have charged me the same price without the most expensive component of the dish. My wife had a house salad with creamy vinaigrette which had absolutely NO flavor, no idea how they accomplished this. For my lunch main I had a chicken parm roll. It came with no sauce inside, first mistake, but a side of sauce and a terrible one at that, tasted like jar sauce. Look at the attached picture, NO SPICES. My wife ordered a Margherita pizza which was NOT what us REAL Italians consider a Margherita. There is NO slices of tomatoes on a Margherita pizza, PERIOD! Just because you throw fresh basil on a pie doesn’t automatically make it a Margherita. The pizza had ABSOLUTELY NO FLAVOR. I’ve read up on the reviews on the joint and I am shocked to see that overall they are good. Goes to show you that people really don’t know good Italian food nor do they know how traditional pizzas should come to your table, there is NO variations, PERIOD! I am glad that we played it safe and it was a cheap lunch due to selection or I would have been more pissed then I am right now. Wasn’t one Italian in site, maybe that’s why their food is terrible and I wouldn’t go back for free. The servers were nice and attentive but not explaining that the most expensive part of your dish is not available and still bring it for the same price is INEXCUSABLE, but I blame the establishment for this. If an Italian chef passes on the trade of food to another Nationality, do it with respect for the food and DO IT RIGHT or else YOU are the problem. I give this joint a 1 cause they did NOTHING right. Total disgrace and I would eat fast food before I’d eat here again! Till the next time my foodie friends, I hope it will be a better one, mangiare e mangiare
