Delicious food with a homemade taste. Since they make everything fresh, service can be a little slow, especially if they're busy. I recommend going when you're not in a hurry. The chilaquiles and huevos rancheros are excellent.
The food is exquisite. The flavor is homemade, and the tortillas are handmade. Highly recommended.
The place is very cozy, quiet, and the food is delicious... that taste of food made with love. You have to try the oatmeal horchata, too; it's delicious! Visit the alley of murals that were just finished and take advantage of the opportunity to have breakfast or lunch here. The prices are also excellent.
ATTENTION FOREIGNERS: If you've ever wondered what Mexican cuisine should taste like, this is the perfect place. The tortilla soup, the Milanese, the enchiladas, and the pancita (available only on Sundays) are simply fantastic. The staff is very kind and LGBTQ+ friendly. They usually play popular Mexican music from the 70s and 80s. If you'd like a private lunch, they have a separate table where you can play your own music. This place is right next to Zacatlán's Vitromurales. This is the best place I ate during my stay in Zacatlán. If you're craving good, home-style cooking, this is the place to go. I've eaten here more than once, and the quality has never disappointed. My favorite dishes were: Aztec soup, Milanese, Swiss enchiladas, and their Sunday pancita (this one takes the cake!). The staff is very friendly and LGBTQ+ friendly. The prices are reasonable. They often play popular music in the style of Juan Gabriel, Rocío Dúrcal, José José, etc. If you'd like a private meal, they have a separate table where you can play your own music. They're right next to the Vitromurals.
An amazing option for enjoying great food at a good price, with generous portions and excellent service. Try their horchata and Aztec soup; they're incredible because they're made fresh to order. The service is friendly, and the place is beautiful and spacious. There were no lines at lunchtime.
The food is delicious; the carrot soup is exquisite, and the rice is also very good. I highly recommend it.
A typical home-cooked lunch, exquisite coffee with milk, delicious sweet bread, and excellent seasoning. Delicious chilaquiles and eggs. Excellent music.
Excellent place, delicious food, and the service is even better. Highly recommended 👌
Highly recommended. Just be aware that since they prepare it fresh, it takes time. Don't miss it. 10 out of 10.
Excellent food, the best of Zacatlán without being pretentious. It just takes time.
A very pleasant and welcoming place to eat, alone or with family, with delicious food. You can order the daily menu (usually two soups and two stews) as well as seasonal dishes, such as "Chiles en Nogada," a typical dish from the state of Puebla. The service is excellent, the prices are reasonable, and there's always tasteful background music at a moderate volume that allows you to enjoy it. It's centrally located, three blocks from the park and on the corner of Callejón del Hueso (Bone Alley), where you can see the stained-glass murals that have been installed there. A great option for a good meal.
The food is tasty and cheap, but they take too long to deliver the food and they deliver it in pieces.
The food here is definitely delicious, a nice place to eat.
Comida rica con sabor casero, lugar tranquilo y cerca del centro
Estaba abierto pero no había nadie
The food was delicious, but the service was incredibly slow. It took half an hour to get the coffee, half an hour to get the fruit, and another half hour to get the food. ☹️
Un servicio muy lento y sucio lugar
Horrible experience, we waited an hour and a half and in the end they told us there was no food, even though they charged us for the drinks and extras, it took a while to bring the change and no one from management came out to apologize, they left everything to the waitress.
I arrived guided by a Google Maps recommendation, but I don't recommend it. They didn't have mole or the grilled chicken breast we wanted to order. The service was terrible and very slow. The flautas with consommé were probably cooked a second time, as the meat was dry and brown, and tasteless. It's a shame that they neglect a place that seems iconic like this.
Their calendar and hours on Google are incorrect. We tried to visit, but they were closed. A woman came out of a side door and asked what we needed. When we said breakfast, she offered to open the door. When we asked if she was the cook or the owner, she said no, but she'd see what she could give us... what???
