Recomendable
This weekend my whole family went out for dinner. There were 19 of us, and we had made a reservation and told everyone what we wanted. They were incredibly attentive, and both the sandwiches and the toast were delicious. And the mixed drinks were also fantastic. We'll definitely be back.
Generous and delicious portions. Drinks at very good prices. The bar is always packed, so it's advisable to make a reservation if you want to try their sandwiches, tapas, or salads. The worst thing is the noise and the voices, which are always at their limit! That's why the atmosphere has a 3-star rating. Better lighting would also make the bar more pleasant. The waiter was very efficient and professional.
Update: Try the mixed platters, perfectly cooked, all they need is homemade desserts. It's a pleasant, clean place. A very friendly, bespectacled waiter served us and made some recommendations. The burgers were very good, the fries were also delicious, the mixed drinks were served with dry ice, and the prices were more than reasonable. I think this will become my gang's burger bar, hehe.
A great place for lunch or dinner. A huge variety of tapas and a well-stocked bar with excellent products. The waiters are very friendly, attentive, and fast. Keep in mind that they're always busy because the food is so good; everything is delicious and reasonably priced. They also have a wide selection of beers and wines. It's usually busy, so it's highly recommended to call ahead and make a reservation. It's a very cozy and attractive place. There's a dining room and a terrace in the back, and they have a small outdoor area with about six to eight tables where you can escape the cold. If they have gas heating, it's nice and warm. The food is very good; they have delicious sandwiches, toast, salads, combination plates, and hamburgers, all of which come with fries and sauce. The restrooms are accessible and clean. It's highly recommended, and as I said, it depends on the day; call ahead to reserve or you won't get a spot.
Great food, friendly, efficient staff and great value for money! I'd definitely recommend it.
Good tapas at a good price. Very friendly staff.
Quick and attentive service, great. We ordered several things and they were all delicious and reasonably priced. The terrace was very nice; if I had to find a fault, it would be the huge number of pigeons. But that's not the restaurant's fault.
Good food
A typical tapas, sandwich, and small plate bar. One of those bars that never fails to impress, it's always open, with several tables inside and a terrace inside, part of which is enclosed (the back of the bar overlooks a small park). It's usually very busy, especially in summer. On this occasion, we had scrambled eggs and a mixed plate (9.90 euros, 8.90 euros for mixed plates). On other occasions, we've tried other mixed plates, sandwiches, and hamburgers, and everything was always perfect.
We ordered a chicken cachopo and it was served completely raw. When we mentioned it, they didn't apologize at all; they just re-fried it and brought it back to us. Besides the fact that eating raw chicken is dangerous, I expected something more, but oh well... I can't understand why they didn't even notice.
A few friends and I went for dinner, having chosen our food two days in advance. It took 1 hour and 10 minutes to serve the first courses and another hour to serve the last person. Dismal. It was fine 15 years ago, but it's the typical place that's a victim of its own success. The staff's service is appalling. Not a single apology, just a haughty attitude. The place was packed, and regarding security measures: the door leading to Avenida San José was closed with the shutter. What if something happens one day...? Also, be careful because you have to double-check the bill; they tend to make mistakes. There are definitely better places.
I asked about the tiny piece of chicken and the bacon, and the cook (I understand he's the owner) said, "What do I want for that kind of money?" 😂😂😂 We used to go there for dinner quite a bit because it was good, but maybe it's because of the locals... 🫣 The guy who served us (waiter) was very nice, but it's a shame the quality of the dishes has dropped so much. If you want to order the sandwich, it's number 3, but bring the chicken and the cottage bacon 😅
