An extraordinary church that preserves important examples of Mudejar art 😲❤

Pretty amazing place, but quite crowded on the weekend. It's also closed around lunch time so you can't really go in and take advantage of smaller crowds. All that said, it's not worth taking a special trip to Zaragoza just for this and a couple other churches that are around. If you're in the area, or you're passing through, you definitely should visit.

So pretty my jaw dropped. Just stunning. Entry bundle ticket with the tower of the basilica and the tapestry museum was quite cheap and very worth it, it’s valid for 48 hours.

The historial value of all buildings we visited was astounding. Zaragoza has so much to offer! It is a great city to visit.

Very nice and important place to see. The cathedral has some magnificent architecture and decour, also there is a wonderful tapestry museum inside which I would say is a must see for any history and decour enthusiast. The visit includes a great audioguide in multiple languages.

The wall with mudéjar ornaments is an impressive piece of architecture

This was the best historical site we saw in Zaragoza. It covers several periods, invasions & conversions. The audio guide for children and another for adult work really well. Lots of language options. It’s mostly wheelchair friendly but the gift shop, up one step and the tapestry’s are up several flights of old broad stairs. Everyone is so friendly. The detail of each little chapel can be a little overwhelming at times. The effort, skills & expense put into them. The personal Family history.

This is a must see. It’s just stunning. Try time it for mass. A lot of tourists are walking around, looking at all the art periods, Capellas. The audio guide is necessary, they’ve a children’s audio guide too. The staff are so kind & patient. It’s mostly wheelchair accessible except the gift shop & tapestries. The beauty & building for the glory of God is a feast for your eyes. Again the ticket here can be also used at ‘the glass rosary’ You’ll need more time than you think in this cathedral. Look at the tapestries. If you like art this is for you.

One of the most impressive cathedrals in Spain, also constantly underrated and overshadowed by El Pilar for obvious reasons, it retains a big artistic value in unique from the wood altarpiece to the choir or all the baroque interiors, plus the mudejar tiles on the façade or the collection of rich medieval tapestries. It reflects the role of Zaragoza as witness in a crossroads of civilizations from Roman to Visigoth, muslim, and Christian again in Romanesque, Gothic, renaissance, unique mudejar with arab reminiscences, baroque, neoclassic, etc all in one single building

The Catedral del Salvador de Zaragoza, commonly known as La Seo, is an absolute masterpiece that genuinely captivated me. While many visitors flock to the more famous Basílica del Pilar, overlooking La Seo would be a grave mistake. This magnificent temple boasts stunning architecture, with its intricate domes, numerous chapels, and breathtaking art creating an atmosphere of profound beauty. It's immediately clear why this cathedral holds the prestigious title of a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Every corner reveals centuries of history and artistic brilliance, making it an unforgettable experience that truly stands apart.

The cathedral in Zaragoza is magnificent! I was here during advent and saw some nice decoration.

This is a magnificent and stunning piece of architecture and art, no less than any other churches of this style, with the choir in the centre, but it is far less crowded and expensive as in other more popular cities in Spain. No long queues to enter, no booking in advance, and one can stroll leisurely and admire every detail. I am so glad that I stop by Zaragoza.

Don’t miss this one! If you visited Pilar, don’t give this a miss. I think this one with its ornate chapels is worth visiting more than Pilar.

Iconic Cathedral in Spain. This qualifies probably in the top 5 sites in Spain (with Mesquita, Alhambra, la Giralda & Prado). Passing through Spain you ahave to STOP here. We really enjoyed both the inside and outside part. Obviously as this is Spain it can get really hot in summer.

The cathedral of the savior of Zaragoza is so beautiful church! Inside and outside! It’s very nice to visit. I recommend it! Feels so peaceful in there.. there are tours for a fee not in the mass hours of course.

Really worth seeing! More impressive than Sagrada Familia. I recommend the €10 ticket that you can buy here which allows you entrance to 4 other places. Really worth it! Be mindful of siesta time. They close 14:30-16:00 The downside of this cathedral is that they don’t allow photos inside. My opinion is that such a beautiful cathedral in a quiet town of Zaragoza Spain should be photographed and shared with other people so they can also enjoy the magnificence of this place. The staffs here are not so clear though when explaining the schedule and procedure on how to access all these places

If I could put 10 stars- I would! It is a highly impressive and awe-inspiring cathedral! Probably one of the best I’ve seen so far (and I have been to quite a few countries)! It looks nice from the outside, but when you step inside you immediately have a jaw-dropping effect! All the walls are lined with chapels each better than the other one as if you become an unwilling judge in centuries old competition… At the entrance (10 euros per person) you are given an audio guide that tells a lot about each part of the cathedral! The stories are very interesting. Each thing that you see is a masterpiece on its own: done by different architects/artists in different centuries and for different people! I personally would set aside about 1,5 hours to listen to the audio guide and to walk around admiring all the elaborate details! Truly a marvel worth visiting! It’s a pity that photos aren’t allowed. Check the schedule carefully as the cathedral is closed for 2 hours at lunch time

Beautiful cathedral, with some stunning individual chapels which are very ornate. You get an audio guide when entering or you can download it onto your phone. Please make sure you take time to go upstairs and view the tapestries which are extraordinary set over a few rooms.

From the outside it looks like just another cathedral, but inside it's indescribably beautiful. It costs to enter and I got a communication device. I recommend taking time to explore the various chapels and chapters and the altar. There's a tapestry museum upstairs worth visiting. I highly recommend a visit if you're in Zaragoza.

It's small but wow, is it beautiful! It seems every inch is covered in some for of art work. The main alter is stunning and the pulpit behind the choir is quite unique. Be sure to spend time admiring the side chapels, which are very ornate and diverse in artistic styles. So you might wonder why I only gave it four stars? Well they have a really dumb no photo policy, but if you have a small camera or phone and you are discrete while taking photos, you can avoid catching the attention of the lone attendant watching for photographers. If/when you are caught, he will politely ask you not to take photos. Also, don't forget to check out the wonderful Mudejar masonry work on the north facade.
