Excellent agriturismo, rustic, very welcoming, the staff are kind and very friendly, and the food is truly excellent, featuring typical Pavia dishes. The tortelli with braised beef sauce are a delight! I played at a wedding here, and I can't say enough good things about it. Highly recommended!

November 9, 2019. A delicious, simple lunch, without unnecessary "frills," tasty, truly delicious! Special praise to the cuisine: - for the incredibly delicate pear and Taleggio risotto, - for the traditional ravioli with braised meat sauce, - for the duck and guinea fowl with gratinated vegetables, - for the veal fillet with baked potatoes, - for the fresh fruit tart... And I can't help but mention the appetizers, which are the farm's mixed cured meats! The portions are more than generous. The wine they produce is delightful. The staff is capable and knowledgeable, never intrusive, and the owner is very kind and helpful. In short, the atmosphere faithfully reflects the name of this simple location, which I highly recommend. Congratulations!

A farmhouse nestled in the Oltrepó Pavese countryside, near Stradella. The atmosphere is quaint and clean, and the staff are very attentive and welcoming. We had a fixed-price lunch during the Christmas period. The menu consisted of: an appetizer with a selection of homemade cured meats; two first courses: risotto with pears and Taleggio cheese (remarkable, the rice was cooked perfectly) and trofiette with sausage and mushroom ragù. The second courses: roast veal fillet with potatoes and stewed chicken with polenta. The cured meats were excellent (the cotechino was amazing), and the meat was tender and succulent. We finished with desserts (various options): chocolate salami with orange sauce, pear strudel with vanilla cream, chocolate parfait, pavesini biscuits, and hazelnuts. Wine and water were included. They also accommodated our vegetarian requests very well, offering a very respectable alternative menu. The price was absolutely reasonable: €40 per person. A truly good place to taste local specialties that I highly recommend and where I will return.

A few kilometers from Stradella, nestled among vineyards, lies La Casa dei Nonni, a typical Oltrepò Pavese farmhouse where local produce and those from the garden take center stage. We visited on Sunday for lunch, a day when they offer a fixed menu for €40, including mixed appetizers, two first courses, two second courses, dessert, water, wine, and coffee (except for liqueurs and premium wines). A truly fair price, not only for the quantity—the portions are more than generous—but above all for the quality of the dishes. The appetizers were excellent, especially the local cured meats, which I had little hesitation about given how good the coppa and salami from the hills are. The first courses deserve special praise, especially the braised beef ravioli with braised beef sauce, a signature dish of the Oltrepò, which here far exceeded expectations. The main courses were good, although a step down from the previous ones: the duck, which I had counted on, I found a bit dry, while the roast pork neck with herbs was decidedly more convincing. The desserts, all homemade, were a wonderful discovery. I tried the must pudding, recommended by the very kind waitress: a perfect choice! I don't like overly sweet flavors, yet this dessert was so balanced and delicious that I would have ordered another. The red wine included in the menu, from local wineries, was very good and of high quality, and went down like water. The service was courteous and cheerful. Perhaps a little too quick in the succession of courses, but nothing that detracted from the experience. In conclusion, La casa dei nonni is a little corner of authenticity and flavors at the gateway to the Oltrepò Pavese, perfect for those who want to savor a bit of tradition. Highly recommended!

This recently renovated and delightful location offers delicious dishes. I tried trofie with sausage and porcini mushroom ragù and tripe as a main course. Both dishes use genuine ingredients and are expertly crafted.

No, not really. A paradoxical experience: having good ingredients isn't enough to run a restaurant. It should also be noted that tasting menus are only available on Sundays. From a culinary standpoint, neither my husband nor I were able to salvage anything, despite trying everything we could: we ate everything from appetizers to dessert à la carte, without finding a single dish we deemed worthy of being presented to the restaurant. The wine and grape must pudding were passable.
